June 26Jun 26 Raising this point re finances as reading between the lines many decisions which have been made by the club recently point to cutting back on costs. Examples: 1.Existing players being offered new contracts ( which look to be on lower terms) and not signing. Mandron being a good example having went on an SPFA trial recently. 2.Sale of players. Mcmenamin bought for £125k and sold for an "undisclosed fee." When the club quotes an undisclosed fee it is most likely to be a small fee they don't want to share but it will come out in the accounts. 3.Admin Staff leaving, being made redundant or being asked to cut their hours. Reference the departure of Lynsey McLean and Vicki Gilzean. 4.New Manager is a cheap option being promoted from an Academy Manager to Club Manager. 5.New Asst Manager Stuart Taylor leaves to work in a war Zone rather than continue at Saints. 6.New signings are from lower league Scottish teams (withe exception of Ramos) and are used to lower wages I may be wrong given we won the League Cup and had the share of the Scottish Cup gate money plus prize money but everything appears to point towards a cost cutting exercise across the board at this point in time. I hope I am wrong as this looks like we are preparing for the Championship and just surviving.

Last season we sold Mooney and got compo for our managerial team, we won the LC & got to the semis of the SC although our League position (prize money) would've been down on recent years. June 26Jun 26 Author Thanks for the apology which is appreciated. Just concerned at the information in front of us. I looked at the last set of accounts and my concern is if our expenditure remains at that level circa £7,961,374 and our income has dropped then perhaps that is the concern. Declan John is the only player from the existing squad who has signed a new contract and the Mandron SPFA trial game seems strange. Genuinely only want the best for the club especially as we enter our 150th anniversary.

It's very early in the transfer window, I'd suggest people stay calm and keep their whining until the window is closed. You , again, come in with a comment about lower wages, interesting. I'd add we have an excellent board behind the scenes with Lasley being recognised as SPFL CEO of the year, not the bowling club types we've had in the past. Lynsey is still at the club on a circa £65k salary providing admin support and costing the club circa £80k including NIC and pension contributions. She has moved from the Kibble wage bill to ours.
