DongaTon
Leamington Buddy Boy is now taking the piss - Jeff Buckley one of my faves, Goldfrapp goes without saying, and Afterglow is my second favourite Small Faces song. No, third actually. Right, 1. Stockholm Syndrome - Muse (rocks like a fcking bastrd, I love this song) 2. Tin Soldier - Small Faces 3. Utopia - Goldfrapp 4. Two Months Off - Underworld 5. We Are The Pigs - Suede
Bloomsbury Bud
Donga, Tin Soldier by the Small Faces is an splendid song, Marriott's voice - fantastic. By the way, a contention in choice, I don't like Muse - a little too 'Spinal Tap' for my taste. HHIBSS, yup Billy MacKenzie was indeed a tremendous singer. What can I say about Grace - I implore you to persist. BTW, I'm might be around in early September for a few days, I'll try and get in touch for a jar or 3. Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes
Best song by The Faces, Small or otherwise, is Stay With Me. DongaTon
I see Grace is about to be re-released. I dunno, I just can't get into that album. Mind you, I think it's one of these you have to listen to a lot and I've not got round to listening to it for more than a dozen times even though I've had it for yonks.People go on about Jeff Buckley's voice, and a fine singer he was. However, I reckon he's eclipsed by the late, great Billy McKenzie of The Associates. What a voice HE had! Soaring, swooping, diving, climbing, call it what you will, but it was superb. This weeks tunes:- 1. Test For Echo 2. Sweet Miracle 3. Peaceable Kingdom 4. Cold Fire 5. Everday Glory All by Rush. Oooooh!!! Cannae wait for September! Grace is one of the best albums I own, and here is some more info on the 10th Anniversary "Legacy" edition for you Skunky gentlemen......excellent value for money from the amazing 101cd.com website Grace - Legacy Edition here
