Guest TPAFKATS
Looks like it has indeed opened as a craft beer hostelry, run by an enterprise called Artisan Tap. http://www.artisantap.co.uk/craft-beer/ http://www.artisantap.co.uk/venues/ They seem to think that Paisley is in Glasgow though. That would explain the price of a pint when I was in a couple of weeks past. Good beer though!

Eric Arthur Blair
They've listed Corkers address as "Paisley, Glasgow". They can f**k right off until that is sorted.
Guest TPAFKATS
Old Hamishes reopening in May as Saporito - Wine bar type of place with grill and pizza. Saporito currently have a coffee place across from Abbey in gauze st and were also supplying some poncy but tasty pannini's at the beer festival. beyond our ken
the wallace tree is an absolute eyesore now that it has been boarded up. Surely the council should be getting the building owners to come up with a less obtrusive solution. No building so close to the town centre should be presented in that way
Seaside Nipper
the wallace tree is an absolute eyesore now that it has been boarded up. Surely the council should be getting the building owners to come up with a less obtrusive solution. No building so close to the town centre should be presented in that way Its simply the way the Council mange the town centre. No High Street , never mind no building, in any town anywhere, should be presented in the way they do it in Paisley. Absolute disgrace, the only thing that has changed is that the town centre has regressed and declined over the last decade at least................ For the largest town in Scotland with an Abbey, a Cathedral, a river and an area of open amenity in the Town Centre for a start up , how the feck can the place look like such a post apocalyptic wasteland ? Tragic. Oops, edit to add from other post...... I suppose when the council officials stroll around the electoral trail and think nothing of urinating over other people's property maybe that sums it up to some extent It's a lack of calibre and gravitas amongst elected representatives. That's certainly no way for anyone with any standards of decency to behave. Edited April 27, 2015 by Seaside Nipper

Kemp
Has anyone who has opened a pub or restaurant in Paisley in recent years actually managed to make a success of it? (your wetherspoons and such chains aside)

bluto
I noticed Paddys was open - with paying punters hiding from the sun, this morning. Has it been reopened long? Is Fergus still involved? (Saw a list of beers on cheapest offer on its chalkboard... No mention of Tennents, though....)
