What's the best night for a night out in Paisley, a Friday or a Saturday?

Getting together with a few mates in November, somewhere a bit lively, maybe karaoke or some entertainment?

Or The Tudor Arms as this once fine pub was called.  A roll with stewed lorne sausage and onions was a joy on a cold winters day.

Seen today the Court Bar is up for sale and had been for a good while.

Wee Barrel, Hole In the Wall, Alamo all gone  😭

Great Saint pub and hopefully it still will be if and when sold.

That would be a hard one to lose. Last pub on the walk to the stadium always mobbed on match day. Though I do think it must struggle midweek.

Lots of external issues do not help pubs like the Court. 6 weeks for the world cup and no home games is a kick in the nuts for cash flow as is one home game over the festive season.

Fingers crossed a good new owner.

Maybe to many customers across the road getting jailed instead of probation during the week wont be helping  🤪

With the Irish shithole next door also closed, it had turned into a dry area of the town.

it was called a few names one was the gallow green bar

jackie copland owned the crown not the bar across the street

and the bob inn or stringfellows was in greenock road :P

I thought (back on p8) that I thought it was called The Wellmeadow.

I also think it was where the bookies is now. Opposite the Crown.

I never knew Centre Spot, though.

The former Toby Jug/Thai Siam was getting new signage painted when I passed earlier.

They hadn't finished so can't tell you what it's being converted to.
