BigYardsAndBasher Posted August 25, 2024 Report Posted August 25, 2024 The only time I go into Paisley these days is to go to St. Mirren Park either on matchday or to visit the club shop on the odd weekday off. The town, I'm very saddened to admit, is infested with total scumbags that bring the whole town down. The town centre is a shambles as far as shopping is concerned and it's a real shame because Paisley has a lot of beautiful buildings and history. My Auntie used to always say "When you're out and about in Paisley, look up at the architecture and see for yourself the history of the place." Unfortunately nowadays you can't spend too much time looking up because you'll either step in dog shite or bump into the many "characters" the town has and by bumping into them, you'll probably get threatened or battered. Sad times. Quote
guinness Posted December 29, 2024 Report Posted December 29, 2024 If you want to cut down your drinking in the New Year to to Harvies. The service is so slow the chances of drinking too much are limited. Quote

guinness Posted February 19 Report Posted February 19 Harvies set to change hands again. Last lot only lasted about 8 months. Various rumours about why they were asked to leave. Interim company taking over. Usual mayhem while they work out how to use tills etc. Hopefully better hosts next time and, hopefully, reduce the prices a bit. Quote
