Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes
You didnae make the tape, mate. I made it and you supplied the product. Well, actually, I kind of buggered off with them after rifling through your record collection (which had some fine obscurities; never heard (There Ain’t No) Sanity Clause anywhere else) but I only had them for the rest of the Sunday afternoon and passed them back sharpish; didnae really fancy having Wullie come to my door and ask for them back. Him & my auld man woulda beena lethal combination. Edited to add:- by the way, my faither looked fúck all like Gerry McNee so don’t even start! Howard Hughes in BlueSuedeShoes
Today's five are:- 1. Electro-Shock Blues - Eels. An absolutely superb album. 2. 100% Colombian - Fun Lovin' Criminals. They mean coffee, not the other stuff! 3. Hot Fuss - The Killers 4. Four Calendar Cafe - Cocteau Twins 5. Ultra - Depeche Mode. Dark & brooding magic. Just outside the top five The Same Sky by Horse and a Smiths compilation that was released completely against the band's wishes. The main reason I bought the fúcker.
