Looks a good signing on paper, happy with this.
Definitely an area we need cover in.
-
Yasss.
Great news.
-
Did you get that from pie and bovril?
Aye and an Arab mate at work.
Probably/hopefully horseshit.
-
Fat mess should be nowhere near the top flight, would be a terrible signing.
-
Rumours of Dundee Utd sniffing around.

The facts and the figures are indeed clear.
There is a minimum of 1.5 trillion pound worth of oil still to be extracted from the North Sea.
Still to hear one good reason why we should let Westminster squander this as they have done with the revenues from the last 40 years.
As Larry Elliot the Guardian’s economics editor (a publication that is no friend to the Yes Campaign) wrote: “An entire era [of North Sea oil] can be summed up in three words: discovered, extracted, squandered”.
-
Yes, the North Sea O&G industry I'd really dying on it's arse.

What a terrible affliction for Scotland.

Hopefully a quick recovery, the last thing we need at the moment is a smaller squad to choose from.
Also probably means a deserved dropping for Goody is not on the cards.

I don't know the detail behind every situation but my general understanding is that Danny is given a budget to spend. How he chooses to spend that is up to him.
I don't think the board would sanction a move that smashed the general wage structure at the club but at the end of the day I believe the manager makes the decisions as to how his money is spent.
I've no idea how much Samson was on before or what he is on at Kilmarnock but it's reasonable to assume he wasn't on much when he joined us as we plucked him from part time football at Ayr. He very seldom let us down, and even got into the Scotland squads.
Sammy was the best keeper we've had fit years and a vital cog.
Perhaps as some have said Danny underestimates the importance of a top class GK, which Sammy is imo.
Still, even with Buffon in goal we would have got beat yesterday and in Inverness.
-
Looking at some posts together Danny looks like a condemned man before the ICT game....He talks of reduced budgets ....The squad is the poorest in numbers and quality for many years. Div comes on here with a very uncharacteristic rant at Lennon. Anyone else think he is in with the BOD in deflecting the blame?........No comment is noted from CS losing his license and being unable to commute to Paisley.
Hardly a rant was it? Pretty thoughtful analysis imo.
Numbers yes, quality not so sure. We stayed up before playing John Potter for a whole season FFS.
-
Div, are you sure it was Danny who wouldn't sanction a higher wage for Sammy and not the BoD?
Good post from the OP. I'm definitely more clapper than wetter, I wasn't sure getting rid of Gus was the right thing to do at the time, so possibly I am too conservative.
Still think some of the verbals dished out yesterday were beyond the pale.
-
Monkhouse never cracked a joke his whole career.
The critics used to say I wouldn't make it. They're not laughing now.
Thought that was pretty good.
-
How does Danny's win percentage compare to Gus?
I'm normally a back em rather then sack em kinda guy, but think the tipping point may have been reached with the last two away games against teams of similar stature.
I'm not sure a new gaffer would provide a miracle solution to our problems but at least it would remove the air of negativity starting to envelop our club.
I understand punters have a right to voice their complaints, but I believe this should be saved for HT/FT, getting on the players backs and abusing Danny for 90 mins as some where doing yesterday doesn't help anyone.
Can't help but think shades of '88.
-
He didn't tell him to shut up, he said 'thanks for that'.
Guy was an arse, looked like he couldn't wait to have a go at the team. Also kept shouting ' play the ball on the grund', no matter if we were playing it on the ground or not.
-
despite the shambolic performance some of the abuse dished out to Danny and the players today was OTT in my book.
Thommo even shouted back at the old Jakey next to me in the first half.
-
Horrific display. Can't remember such a negative start to the season.
Like others have said Danny looked a beaten man today. Where do we go from here?
The comparisons between him and Butcher&Adams have been telling.
-
Who has four teams?
Whytle? Poor form. One of them is top as well.
Expulsion?
-
Straight in at 3!
The only way is down probably.
-
Just noticed this, I'm in!
-
Aha...so that's why we kept punting it like a bunch of clueless amateurs whilst ICT knocked it around. I did notice Harkins falling over the ball occasionally, but I assumed that was just him over doing things.
What the 501 of us saw today was a team with no shape and players out of position or some who believe their own hype. At worst, we possibly saw a team who don't want to play for Lennon. It was "our identity" though as we've been pish for months.

Don't agree with all if this, but most of it is accurate. Definitely seemed to be a distinct lack of fight and that was the most worrying aspect for me. It's a cliche, but has he 'lost the dressing room'?
Still think Danny has earned some leeway till the end of September at least despite all this.
-
Giving this a miss due to ridiculous pricing at Inverness. Hope for a win, would take a draw, expect a loss.
Is it not £21 that must be similar to what we're charging this season.
Remember we are the League Cup holders, it might be a band 'A' game!
