Aye, that's Maggie's principles at their finest.
deary me, the guy who cant add up picking up on spelling mistakes

As someone that never paid a single penny of the poll tax this thread has brought a tear to my eye. LMFHO
why doesn't that surprise me
-
I have no idea what status tony soprano has, but, in the course of my daily work I met hundreds of people on benefits who had major problems attempting to pay the poll tax!
maybe they should have budgeted better then
-
I'm out in Aberdeen tonight, hope I bump into some football supporters, a good night to be a Saints supporter.
so you weren't even at the game yet you have the cheek to label others as non supporters!
-
Usual nonsense from the biggest "non supporter" on the forum apart from elvis.
don't be so harsh on yourself
fool
-
Congratulations to TC & the team. Still a long way to go but starting to look like we're not as shite as some would have us believe.
there was never any panic
Hamilton are shite, you told us, remember
-
What a game.
I bet the 'fans' who wrote us off and lost interest feel really silly now.
cant speak for anyone else but i certainly don't feel 'silly' !
-
Both my mother in law and my future wife were able to pay their council tax while they lived on benefits
they were on the lowest possible income
its nonsense to suggest that anyone couldn't afford to pay it
tony soprano has probably never met anyone on benefits in his life
he's a comfortable middle class socialist!
-
Why don't you do your public duty and e-mail them, then? I've never hidden, I refused to pay on principle.
the principal being to line your own pocket at the expense of others
-
Of course not - it's a f**king discussion forum.
selective as usual
point is that you have a history on this forum of defending Celtic and sectarianism
that is a f**king disgrace
-
You're funny.
See you there? ;)
i take it that's a no then sac features?
-
St Johnstone 0-1 St Mirren.
Another shit game, another 3 points, what's not to like?
seeing as its just down the road, will you actually go and support the team?
clown
-
So your defence of this is that Van Dijk had no business looking at the crowd?
That's right up there with "Aye but she WAS wearing a short skirt".
I absolutely despair at the levels of intelligence amongst our support.
no surprise to see oaksoft jump in to comment
i remember him stepping his foot in it re the Neil Lennon 'incident' in the Aberdeen cup tie at tynecastle last season where there wasn't a shred of evidence
-
Maybe I'm a bit out of touch.
At last...
Your first accurate post!
-
so what you really mean is that the bbc said he'd said he'd scrap it!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-29433919
Mr Cameron also promised
- He would scrap the Human Rights Act
for someone who mistrusts the bbc so much you seem to rely on them quite a lot for your info and taking it as gospel
-
So that's Lord Smith written to the 5 party leaders at Holyrood asking for their proposals on taking forward 'devo max'. He wrote the letter on Friday with a deadline of 10th Oct. So nae rushing it then...
because, of course, theyve been sitting about waiting for that letter before they start thinking about it
i would ask if you also share a brain cell with slarti
but i doubt he has access to it

Did you miss Hearts administration?
Did one of your many aliases not suggest that you would be happy to dance on their grave when their club died?
Sorry but too many clubs in Scotland have shafted creditors through financial mismanagement.
You still think that model is OK?
but they aren't in administration now
a sugar daddy throwing money at us and winning cups then wiping the debt... That model works for me
as for dancing on their grave, that ain't really relevant. Id dance on the grave of every rival club.
-
Didn't realise he was the son of Brian marwood.
now he really was a top player
used to supply the crosses for Alan smith at arsenal in the George graham era
-
Div makes some good points.
Just on Romanov, did his 'model' really not work at Hearts?
Okay, they got relegated last season... but they seem to be enjoying this season. I know a Hearts fan who hasn't been going to games for years but has suddenly bought a season ticket this season. The Hearts support is buzzing just now.
The trade off was winning two Scottish Cups, including a once in a lifetime beating of rivals Hibernian in the final by a scoreline of 5-1 that gives them bragging rights for ever and ever.
Personally, I would trade relegation for winning 2 Scottish Cups.

When I say that?
after the Carlisle game
you said he was immobile and we didn't need an immobile striker
are you in Aberdeen by the way?
-
Absolutely love Ball, he's getting double figures this season. Mark my words
pre season you said we shouldn't sign him
said we didn't need him...

I struggle to understand why anyone would want to pay a significant sum of money to take ownership of a club like St Mirren in arguably a declining market and then try and continue to run it without incurring losses (personal or against the assets of the club).
.
Is it a declining market?
Outside of the Old Firm, gates are fairly good. Indeed, gates are far better today than they were when Scottish football was at its peak on the field in the last 60s and early 80s.
And looking beyond Scotland, money seems to be pouring in football in England, Spain, & Germany.
Maybe someone is taking a holistic view to making money from buying a Scottish football club?
To be honest, its only guess work on my part but if you 'think outside the box' then there may well be a market.
Running down a football club certainly isn't a way to make money however!
-
Andy you think someone is going to throw 2 million at St Mirren for no return. Of course they are not.
And do you think that the best way to invest £2 million is to buy a football club then run it down?
-
What's the odds on that ever happening, he can't even copy bluto's made up word properly.........
deary me
do you and slarti share the same brain cell?
