Seriously, anyone who is suggesting that fat sally should be manager should be certified
[emoji23] -
Thick as F.U.C.K or just a bitter old firm fan in disguise.
Don’t be so harsh on yourself -
Me and the wife bumped into Ally one night all I can say is what a brand new guy when he found out I was a Saints fan he talked highly of us. You do know Ally was on our books as a youngster. The Mad Monk loves us and is a keep fit fanatic. Not saying they will get the job however I would not be disappointed.
Yeh, give them the job cos he was brand new to you and your missus [emoji23] -
Fine margins, but for all Kenny is deemed a failure in Scotland, he did not too bad during a period when Rangers and Celtic were spending really big money
What relevance does Rangers and Celtic spending big money have to do with the fact that Kenny left Dunfermline fighting to avoid relegation to the 3rd tier?
Dunfermline were massively overspending back then as well by the way, hence why they went into administration.
So, even with the resources of an overspending cheating club, he still managed to fail!

Ally McCoist is a big hero of mine.
After all, his failure to qualify for the Champions League was the final nail that liquidated Rangers (RIP).
Super Ally! [emoji23]

To be entirely fair Zico, he wasn't given much of a chance to show what he could do, so difficult for either of us to press the case too strongly.
Other than the fact that we finished lower than we were when he took over -
Sorry Hendo. Can't agree with you. I rate him as a coach.
Sorry Rick. Can’t agree with you. I don’t rate him as a coach. -
Finally someone says it about Stubbs. I shudder at the thought of him as manager if he couldn't get Hibs promoted from the Championship.
A championship that included Sevco & Hearts!
He did win them their first Scottish Cup in over 100 years!
Still wouldn’t him tho! -

Lol , our assistant just sat in the dug out. Not he was on the side lines barcking orders like a lot of assistants do.
Not while the manager sat in the dugout and disappeared up the tunnel during games.
I also don't think that our assistant manager had the background of theirs....
Hopkin even disappeared up the tunnel in the last minute of the play off first leg, caught on camera.

That's some conclusion you've drawn just based on observations like that
I'm sure he'll manage again. I just hope it's not at St Mirren.
My "conclusion" wasn't drawn on the observation. I made my observation after I was told what was happening.
A quick google of their assistant manager should set alarm bells ringing.

Do explain, I am curious as to why you think this?
Cos I think that the assistant manager at Livi is actually the guy in charge of not only the team but also the club.
Hopkin was just a front.
I speculate that he asked for a pay rise and Livi decided they could get another front cheaper.
Simply observing the Livi bench at games, seeing who was barking out instructions, making substitutions and, tellingly, who was disappearing up the tunnel for periods while the game was ongoing and then reappearing without anyone notcing or caring said it all to me.

So Hopkin has missed out on that Shrewsbury job and the Morton one gone as well.
People complain about JR's lack of loyalty. Thats nothing on the scale of Hopkins lack of loyalty to Livi. He's not even got a club to go to and he couldn't get away from Livi quick enough. Maybe he's bought into his own hype.
I hope GLS is taking note and goes nowhere near him. The first sniff of anything slightly better and he would be off.
I don't believe Hopkin went of his own accord and I don't believe he will ever "manage" another club again.

Just now, Ethan said:
Livingston considering Hartson. I would take a punt on him before McIntyre.
I've already stated that I think that Hartson will become the next Livi "manager".
He's already at Livi and may well be interested in being the front man which allows things to continue as they are.....
I also predict that Hopkin won't "manage" again.

LPM. I have to be honest and say that I don't know
You should have just left it at that -
Put me in the mood for a Chinese later.
What are you planning on having for dinner though? -
I'd rather have my prostate examined...………...
Leave your fantasies out of it -

The last time we went down this road we ended up being patronized by St.Ricky!
PS - You could if you tried!
We should do it again for a laugh!

Can you prove that?
Wayne Rooney earns more than you.
The fact that I can't prove it doesn't mean it isn't true!

Wow these last few years really have passed me by. How many points did St Mirren get in the Europa League?
St. Mirren weren't in the Europa League so your point is irrelevant.
Stephen Kenny operates in a far inferior league. He got the chance to prove his worth in Scotland and failed.
-
I'm glad to see you are even with your facts again. Why completely miss out that the next manager after Gus was the first ever Saints boss to lead us to the League Cup and our first major silverware for 26 years?
We also finished in our highest league position in 30 years.
Stephen Kenny took Dunfermline down then had them struggling in the lower league!
He proved he couldn’t hack it in Scotland! -
Stephen Kenny had a shot in Scotland before.
He failed to keep Dunfermline in the top flight and was sacked the following season as they struggled in the second tier. -
Hopkin has left Livingston.
Could be heading our way.
Although, he is probably going down South.
He’s left Livi cos the assistant manager wouldn’t give him a pay rise to continue his job as media figurehead.

2 promoted teams didnt have a manager. Its a bit weird having experiencing our joy and observing Livi s. Two projects now start. Would pundits put both teams as relegation fodder. Will fans of last seasons bottom 6 be worried. For me the GS factor is key now. We have a chance to get a jump on Livi . They will miss Hopkin big time..
Livi won't miss Hopkin at all. The guy who runs their team is still there.

Why not us ?
I reckon Jim McIntyre is well capable of doing the SMFC job with Billy Dodds as assistant.
I'd personally prefer him to Neilson of all the obvious, probably lazy candidates listed.
Have a feeling it will be none of the obvious though.
Billy Dodds?
Might as well appoint my gran. And she's been dead 30 years.
