    Here...

Everything stalled during the Kearney saga and our "constant presence" was effectively left twiddling his thumbs, I'm as anyone glad JGs team seems to be gelling quickly but to suggest it's all part of the masterplan is ridiculous.

Where does it say in this article that Gus’ role was to have a full squad ready for the start of the League Cup?

I had a feeling that you’d made it up and it’s good that you’ve posted the evidence that proves it! [emoji12]
  2. I haven't been negative, I've been different from you - If you choose not to see the  difference that's your problem.
As I shown many times GMs role was to provide continuity which he didn't do this summer so he's been a failure, it doesn't necessarily have to define the season.

Yet over on P&B you posted that the recruitment has been such a great success compared with last season where it took until Feb for you to be happy with the squad! [emoji1]

  3. Taxi driver - doesn't matter who you are dropping off . . . that intense training, how to open a door and all the technical stuff like fares please . . . Difference is a chauffeur doesent even get to handle the fares . . .             HA HA HA HA And more lies . . . YOU are the most boring twat uon the forum . . .  default_boldred.gif

How much training did you get to sell Avon?

  4.
You are absolutely seething that you have nothing to moan about this week.
Are you so tactically clueless that you think Aberdeen having more possession matters in the slightest?
Cheer up and enjoy the win ffs.

Says the guy with a thread moaning about the DoF failing! [emoji23][emoji23]

Stop attacking Saints fans and enjoy the win ffs
  5. They had DOUBLE our possession.

Leicester City won the Premiership with less than 50% possession in nearly every game.

It’s not who has possession that matters, it’s where the ball is that matters.

And we had the ball in their net while they didn’t in ours!

Their tactic of passing the ball along their defence may have got their possession % up but it didn’t get them any goals!

  6. Tick-Tock - even more awkward! It's not a binary choice sign poor players early or good players later on in the window - we could've signed some good players early in the window if the DoF had been doing the job our Chairman promised last autumn.

How do you know we could have signed good players early in the window? Would these players have been as good as the players we signed? Was the job that the Chairman promised the DoF would do was to sign the best players possible before the start of the League Cup campaign?

It’s not a binary choice, sign all new players before the start of the League Cup campaign and sign none later in the window!

We signed 3 players before the start of the League Cup. We lost 3 players from the sides that beat Dundee United (including Kyle McAllister, who has subsequently rejoined).

The players that we had should have been good enough to qualify from that League Cup campaign. Rushing in signings to help us qualify from that group shouldn’t have been an issue!

  7. "He will definitely shine in that league. He's the all action type of player that fans love and he'll be one of the star performers this season."
I doubt he'll shine and be a star performer this season.
Do I need to spell everything out for you, wee man?
You been on the cheap lager today? 🤡

Looks like you’ve spelt out a made up quote!

    You said “ doubt it”

    What a walloper!

    Fud
  8. Why apologise to guys for no acting quickly enough, not enough respect for fans paying to go to cup games and turning up with half a team...

To be fair, 8 of the starting 11 against Hibs were available for the League Cup plus Baird and McGinn who were regulars last season and 2 new signings.

    That’s a full team plus a sub. [emoji12]

  9. Viagra is melting your small brain, cut down the quantity, ya halfwit. default_laugh.png

Here I’ll make it simple for you you gimp.

McLoughlin, Waters and McAllister weren’t available to sign before the League Cup began ( and maybe the rest weren’t either).

Do you think we should have signed lesser players just for the League Cup instead of signing these 3?

8 of the starting 11 against Hibs were available for the League Cup as were Baird and McGinn who have been regulars for the past 2 years.

They should have been good enough to qualify from that group and allow the management team time to get in the players they really wanted.

    You clown! [emoji1]

  10. And again!
Squad all but completed three weeks before the transfer window shuts, with a couple more "extras" to come in according to JG.
Excellent work by all at the club.[emoji4]
Not bad for a club apparently in financial meltdown.[emoji23]

And where the DoF has apparently failed! [emoji23]
