As a Football Club we have became a disaster since winning the League Cup.
We have went backwards when we had the chance to build a decent team with Danny Lennon as the manager
But because of various decisions by the club and bad signings both players and management we are now fighting a relegation battle to survive in a league where we should be coasting to at least a 3rd place finish.
Is there any light at the end of the tunnel. Hope we can survive to the end of this season with the present pair of not so glorious manager and his sidekick in charge as they ain't going to resign.

Thats not a bad call. Kenny was very highly rated as a coach before having a torrid time as a manager. He might be the type of assistant that Ian Murray needs.
or more likely Murray might be better being Mad Monks assistant

Abbot and Costello / Dumb and Dumber / it took from April until September until someone added to this thread ok Murray is not fantastic and seems a tad out of his depth at Saint Mirren but if anyone of us started a job and after a few months the customers were asking for that person to be bagged it would seem unreasonable not to give them a bit of time to settle in...

play Shankland and Thommo as front 2 taking it in turn to play deeper and we could still turn this season around....

I'm not excited by Langfield signing as some of the fans at the much bigger club he just left think he isn't great.
The reality is we are a championship team who just had a horrendous season and got relegated without showing any fight.
What standard of player do you think St Mirren are able to attract at the present moment ?

Didn't Paul McMullan beat his man then put in a cross for a Goal which was judged offside. I thought he looked nervous and tried to play the ball first time to often. Only tried to take on the fullback once in 90 minutes but he did make a lung busting run to catch up with a breakaway.
I think he will come good once he settles.

we should have got Lawrence Shankland when he was at Queens Park. but if true it's a fantastic deal I saw him play quite a few times at QP and he is a natural born goalscorer.

Yep, a modern day Jackie Copland required to keep the youngsters right or even a Tommy the 'tache Turner or Andy Millen type figure to lead at the back.
Agreed but where do you find those type of players in todays Scottish Football.
