  1. You really are a sad individual. Why do you persist in called fellow supporters of our Club 'corrupt'. I assume you have not met one of them. Some will probably be at the shareholders meeting tommorrow. Many have supported this Club for decades - grow up son.

Aha! Shopped!!! After being assured that none of them encouraged Swinney to veto the deal because they are shareholders, an admission that at least one is a shareholder. Each little hint brings us closer to the truth.

essennpee coonsilers got the CiC funding stopped because they have a vested interest in the club. Nothing to do with the town, the community or the good of the club and everything to do with protecting their own investment... That's basically what Glen and Scottd and Sid put together are saying. I'm not claiming this, those 3 seem to be!

  2. I was in the Main Stand the day the fliers were handed out.I got into the ground at 2:50pm and never seen any fliers or people handing them out.I never even seen any discarded fliers.I would think most fans arrive for a game round about that time so I'm sure I'm not the only Bud the info didn't get passed on to.

Hey, we only had 2000 fliers for that day a it was late notice. Because of that, most were gone by quarter to 3. It's hoped we'll be able to do the same again on Christmas Eve

  3. Give your fellow fans a wee bit more credit than that. Although your fickleness is becoming legendary. tongue.png He's in he's out he shakes it all about.

Everybody the sidlettes gave leaflets to seemed genuinely please to receive the flyers. I did get one comment from a chap who is still concerned about his existing shares in SMFC becoming worthless and he also said he didn't like REA. Other than all was positive although one guy was talking to his mate about not getting a response from 10000hrs when he originally registered his interest.

Other than that it was all very positive.

Agreed! Everyone I gave a leaflet to seemed more tha happy to receive it and some people even came across to get one when they saw their late with one...

Only one guy refused saying he knew about it and wasn't interested, which is fair enough!

    ETA: bloody touch screen!

  4. They have updated the IPB app that I use for these forums. The posting/editing window has changed to be a bit more like the full site one.

However now, once you has filled ye screen with text it doesn't scroll down so you can see what you are typing. I can't see this and so have no idea what I am typed g.

Also, when I post I for get (null) at the bottom of my post and I nee to go back and edit it.

Anyone offer any help? They have really messed it up!!!

    (null)

  5. Is there a plan for handing out these flyers tomorrow? Where have we to go to to collect them - who's co-ordinating it at the staduim? What time?

Ok so, we are unlikely to be able to get into the ground early and put the leaflets on seats.

Therefore, we will need to hand them out at the turnstiles as people enter. We will therefore meet at 1.30 at the buy a brick wall of fame, between the ticket office and main entrance.

From there we'll divvy up the leaflets and get to the turnstiles in time for them opening at 2pm.

Who's up for being part of getting the word out to the rest of the fans?

To add to that, once the turnstiles open, if it is indeed pishing it down, we can go inside the stadium and hand them out in the vomitory as folks come through the turnstiles.

  6. If a co-op owned the CIC

If it's still being run as a CIC wouldn't any profits generated be ploughed back into the community or club rather than be paid as dividends?

What you're saying is potentially factually correct and all that is good. I just want to clear up a point. 10000hrs will be a CiC operating or trading as a co-operative.

It won't be a co-op owning a CiC or 10000hrs becoming an IPS. It will remain a single company, 10000hrs CiC, which will operate as a co-op.

Just wanted to clarify the concept and language used.

  7. There is a line in the twitter feed from the meeting on 30th November that if I am reading it correctly will cause enourmous and totally unnecessary difficulty to the prospect of landing the 10000 hours IPS bid. the line is:

Quote:"Timelne; Before Christmas we will garner the level of interest and pull this together with the funding agreed and make an offer."

The words highlighted are at present the biggest obstacle to success for this proposal.

10000 hours have lost much credibility and perhaps faith in their unusual addiction to handing out hopelessly unachievable deadlines. The idea that all support, interest, local influence, trebling of pledges, meeting the shortfall on £2m willl all be achieved in three weeks is not realistic, and could scupper the proposal.

By all means and i mean all means canvass every man, woman and child in renfrewshire to support the proposal, encourage those that can to pledge to "own and win" our club, get all the kids signed up as the free junior members, hit every shopping centre, school, business, shop, care home, pub, hotel, sports club, council venue etc to hand out pledge forms, flags, posters, badges, windscreen stickers and talk it up.

Then use all of that as leverage!!! i'll say no more on open forum, but for christs sake don't go in half cock and blow it.

I think we're all in agreement that setting a time we'd like done by is not the best way to see it achieved. The issue is, we're in a competition situation and there are other bids that won't hang about forever. I think the timescale may have been suggested by others outside the CiC process as opposed to within. But that is PURE speculation on my part...

  8. interesting if what you claim is true.

this is potentially a big scoop you have on your hands here ktf. im quite sure you were not sworn to secrecy so the right thing here is name the director because if what you say is the case then this director is against the idea of fans gaining control of the club. i am pretty certain you werent daft enough to ask any of the non-selling directors so who was it? who is this director that is against the fans buyout of st.mirrren?

    Eh... Naw yer awrite mate!

There is no scoop, no news and no inside story, it just isn't possible.

However it'll be better to do it outside and at the turnstiles as we ensure that they get placed into people's hands and we're all on standby to answer questions.

If you can be there to help out, please do come :)

  9. If we can't get access to put them on seats it would be disappointing, but if the alternative is to hand them out I'll help, but I'm going through my turnstile at 2, and will hand them out as people get through the turnstiles. Sod standing outside in the pishing rain and cold doing it.

I dunno the ins and outs but I think that's fair enough and if it's pishing rain. I'll be doing the same, if we get the ok!

  10. if half a dozen spotty supras were able to sellotape card to every seat before kick-off im pretty sure grown men will have the organisational skills to do the same thing.

Contact brian caldwell and get access to the stadium about 1230, a handful of you will work though the stands in no time.

    dont forget the sellotape.

Sadly, it's not sk simple, as I understand it.

The club can't be seen to be giving preferential treatment to a bidder looking to buy it out. And it would be deemed unfair and uncompetitive to aquiesce fans when they are a captive audience.

However anyone can hand out flyers on the street :)
