  1. Bitterly disappointed with the draw after a much improved performance however, if we perform with the same commitment, effort and desire as shown tonight our problems won't be far from being solved.Firstly it was a brave team selection from Danny and his post match interview on Radio Scotland offered a bit more insight into how he may be behind the media glare. The face slipped slightly towards then end of the interview with Chic and he highlighted the lack of the above qualities, despite his previous post match comments this season, when asked why that commitment hadn't been there previously this season. Before he was cut off his comments about Lee Mair were also admirable regardless of what has gone on before and perhaps his stubbornness not to make the decision until his hand was forced.Once again on here and in and around the ground there are voices of discontent with certain players, but I don't think there was a single poor performer tonight. Dilo had a great game. The back 4 defensively we're solid and barring one glaring mistake which ultimately cost us played very well. The compact starting midfield played brilliantly together. Whilst some will say Aberdeen didn't play well, I would argue we didn't let them and the major reason for this was our midfield 4. McGowan supported Thomo well and neither stopped working all night. The amount of balls Thomo won in the air was also commendable and he took his goal very well indeed.Bahoken, on the whole was much better. He held the ball up well and was unlucky at picking the back post for crosses when front post runs were made. Yes there were a few flaws, but Goodwin had a great game despite a few loose passes, DVZ defended brilliantly despite poor ball at the end, both Mair and McGregor put their bodies on the line defending against a Zola overhead kick and Danny despite the overly late sub to bring Teale on made brave decisions that could ultimately have saved his job.The positives tonight far outweigh any negatives. The young left back had a great game also. If offered the performance and result before the game we would have taken it no questions asked. Now it will be that effort every week or to paraphrase Danny, lock the players up in jail....

I'm wondering who or what brought about the 'brave' team selection.

  2. Magic Monkey it seems right to me.

A reduced sky deal means less income for the business which might mean a lesser selling price as consortiums share of business reduces.

Anyway #notonewco and let's see what we can do to balance out any perceived losses.

Get St Mirren branded tat back in the shop!

  3. What is showing now is the value of the confirmed direct debits. What was previously shown was all the paper DD's that were submitted last year, however due to time lapse they couldn't be used.

Guessing with the different options of DD amounts that it's much less than 390 individuals signed up so far and that if all 650 signed up it would exceed target amount.

Halfway there or so I guess, a fair bit of work still needed in getting folk signed up.

Edit to add. It does say 52% of target.

  4. As far as the 48% that we repeatedly hear about, my understanding was that taking GLS, another former Director and SMiSA aside that the individual small shareholders are a remaining approximately 28% of the SMFC shareholding.

How will the CiC tackle engaging those shareholders to get them on board and indeed on the board and would it not be appropriate maybe for SMiSA to engage with them if any want to sell on etc rather than the CIC stretching itself further?

My other point would be engagement with fans after the Process completes. Can the CiC add members after the sale and how broad a number of individual members would be seen as a success? Can the numbers exceed say 5000?

  5. Am always wary of anything claiming to be independant and as such have never had much interest in whatSMISA might get up to. As I understand it though the members pay a subscripton and that goes to youth development. Does it? If so how can they possibly have funds of £50,000 as claimes on another thred as ready to invest or not as they see fit into CIC. If I were a member I would be very concerned if my contribution were not going straight to the club. Why does it have to sit in their account doing nothing for club? How much money do they need to have before it goes to club.

'goes to the club' - aye.

SMiSA have funds as they've been continually knocked back in their efforts to buy unissued shares in 'the club'

  6. Poz good post.

For me the only route for supporters is getting those that would complete the direct debit into SMiSA.

Let's have a credible broad based supporters group that can buy shares in the club and have a decent percentage ownership of the club to protect the fans interests.

The CiC was interesting, let's see if the interest in it can be rerouted into something sustainable.
