How do you know he isn't?
He's been in full training since midweek.
Well considering that on Wednesday morning they still didn't know if his foot was broken, you'd imagine the bruising and pain would've been pretty severe. Not something that would heal in 3 days anyway.

Reckon that could be the final straw for Harkins. I myself think Gowser offers more but I'm concerned that DL has chucked him in and risks injuring him. Would've preferred we waited for McGowan to be 100% fit before putting him back in. After all, Harkins did ok on Tuesday!

Someone put a link up for the Hibs v St. Mirren game on September 21st to listen to the full game on tune in radio. Does anyone know of somewhere to listen/watch the full game today?

Newton looks set to leave in January, rumour is Newcastle aren't offering him a contract so he wants to play in England after the window in an aim to win a contract down south next season.
Not according to an article in the Herald on Saturday. Apparently Newcastle feel he is gaining invaluable experience with us and are keen for him to remain until the end of the season. The same article also said that talks to keep a hold of Kello had so far been unsuccessful.
-
I reckon Kello will sign until at least end of the season. If rumours are to be believed that Newcastle are sending Adam Campbell up here I reckon that we are more than likely to see Newton remain until the end of the season. McLean and McGowan I think we might struggle to hold on to, it'd be very nice if we could however! I reckon Dilo and Kelly will sign on for another 2/3 seasons. Darren McGregor will surely repay our loyalty by signing again, perhaps on a 2 year deal? As for Thommo and Teale I reckon another year each (I'm sure there's that option in both contracts?)

Same team that started today I think! Thought Naismith looked very good!

Personally I'd go with : -
Kello
Naismith, McGregor, Mair, Kelly
Newton
Teale Mclean McGinn
McGowan
Thompson
Don't think we should make to many changes. Over the last 4/5 games Van Zanten has been very suspect with his positioning and usually has to be replaced. Naismith is a young lad, I'd give him a chance over Caprice as Jake hasn't done much to impress. Tempted to say bring Grainger in for Kelly but should we? Kelly overall has done very well and he's young so we should expect the odd shakey performance. I'd stick with him and let him have a chance to redeem himself. Goodwin was very poor at Tanadice and if Teale is fit for Saturday I'd drop him over Newton and move Newton into a holding role. I think DL might be tempted to bring Harkins in but I'm not convinced it'd be worth dropping McGinn or McLean for him.
-
If Teale is fit then it wouldn't neccesarilly be a disaster to lose Goodie.
Newton moves in. Teale on the right with, perhaps, Caprice behind at right back.
Might even be a godsend.[/quote
Caprice has looked woeful anytime he has come on, especially on Saturday.

Did McGregor not get a rating?
-
I was sat next to a few of the guys shouting at him. After Utd scored the third they almost scored a fourth within a minute. Few of them stood up and shouted asking why it hadn't been changed. They then got the 3 subs ready. Think it was more a case of Tommy was the only member of the management team out on the touchline therefore the questions/abuse got directed at him but the abuse wasn't necessarily about him.
-
I thought captain Jim was going to be suspended for Saturday but apparently it's the 6th caution that gets you done, he's only had 5.
So it will be the Ross County game he misses
A ban for 6 yellows doesn't kick in for 14 days so it would be a few weeks after collecting his next yellow before he misses a game I believe?

Some freelance journo on Twitter reckons we have signed former Hearts goalkeeper Marian Kello on a short term deal.
Would make some sense if the club expects Dilo to be out for a while, and he is currently a free agent, but I've not seen any whispers of it anywhere else and have no idea of the quality of the source.
Anyone heard anything about it ?
I saw it this morning as well, however I'm not convinced it's true. He was attracting interest from much bigger clubs not that long ago so you have to question what went wrong. I think without a doubt Cornell will be the replacement until Dilo is fit again.
-
Really enjoyed the game yesterday. Something which is happening on a consistent basis now is Dilo's excellent distribution! Each time he kicked the ball out, it landed near enough right on Thommos head! Playing with one up front, this makes Thompsons' job a whole lot easier instead of chasing after a wayward goal kick! Thought everyone played their part yesterday, it's great to hear the fans back in good spirits!
-
Think it's pretty straight forward for Danny - don't change things! Everyone clicked last night, Mair looked solid and Kelly did very well so therefore surely both deserve to retain their place. McGowan was played in his more advanced role and thrived on it! I just hope if McAusland is fit he doesn't throw him straight back in and move Goody back into CB again.
-
No doubt that last night was the best performance of the season. Each player looked hungry and motivated. Jim Goodwin looked ten times better in midfield and Sean Kelly made N encouraging competitive debut! That, coupled with the fans in good spoilers and in full voice made the night a very enjoyable one! Perhaps a stand out bit was a guy behind me shouted 'Goodwin, yer sh*te, you shouldnae even be playing', only to be swiftly put in his place by a boy of no more than 11 who told him 'If you think we're sh*te, go home then' much to the amusement of people round about!

How about the manager playing players in proper position?
Who's out of position?
-
4-1-2-2-1
GK - Dilo
RB - Vanzy
CB - McGregor
CB - Mair
LB - Yaqub
CDM - Newton
LM - McGinn
RM - Teale
CAM - McGowan
CAM - McLean
ST - Thompson

i think the BORED will not do anything until at least january and possibly not until may, i do believe they are scunnered and will not wish to use club funds to pay off a manager when it means also having to pay a new manager, in fact with wages to pay until may i don't think there is any money available for a change of manager
What's with the bold on BORED?
-
I think the board will stick with DL until the hearts game, if we fail to take something from that then I think it'll be goodbye. I'd like Kenny Shiels, although I'm not sure it will be him.
-
Danny Grainger Red!
-
Hope Dilo grabs this opportunity!
-
I don't think it's so much that he can't be arsed, but maybe more that his tank is low. A couple of times we were unable to attack quickly as he was walking back to the halfway line to get onside after having challenged their keeper.
Yep, fair enough! Maybe just needs a goal to get going? Off topic a bit, DL should have 2 players practising free kicks in training. For me Grainger and Teale should be given the FK duties. Granted, Graingers have been poor so far but he certainly has the ability. Even if they scored 2/3 in a season it could make all the difference.
