Speedy ?
Reminds me of Stevie Watson from the 90's, him of the red face.
Yes, agreed, he appeared to be pulling a caravan at times - but I actually liked Steve Watson!

Our best final SPL position under Gus was 10th, good attempt.
Which, at that point, was our highest ever finish in the SPL.
-
I have always loved you.
Me too.
Seriously, I'll never say a bad word about Danny again.
You are still a knob however...
-
Well, todays result certainly get's another monkey off Lennon's back.
We now have a manager who has taken us to our best ever final position in the SPL.
Taken us to a national cup final.
Gus Macpherson achieved both of those first.
We have beaten one of the Old Firm in a major Semi Final. Danny Lennon is now one step from immortality IMO.
-
So how did the manager do today?
Very well.

Your account has been hacked. The most amazing game I've seen. We outplayed Celtic in a Semi Final and won.
If we beat Hearts in the final then this will do me for the rest of my life.

The greatest performance I've ever seen from St. Mirren.
Tactics were spot on.
All the players were wonderful. However, some special praise for Marc McAusland, Gary Teale, Graham Carey and John McGinn.
McAusland's cross for the third was incredible. Carey's defending was unbelievable. John McGinn is some player.
And I love Gary Teale.
I love them all, especially Danny Lennon.

The second greatest result in my lifetime (1987 is still top).
The greatest performance in my lifetime.
-
Anyone know what date the final ?
17th March
-
One of the greatest results - and performances - from St. Mirren in my lifetime.
Indeed, probably in our history.
-
Can he make 5 yard suicide passes straight to the opposition?
If so, Fanny Lennon will have him signed up in a minute...
-
Sorry ged are you the forum police? About 99% of rumours on here are made up or attention seeking. Ask an administrator if yout want it shifted.
99.99% of posts complaining about rumours are from folk seeking attention.
-
He'll be kicking his heels up front while our defenders pass the ball amongst themselves before giving it straight to the opposition!
Danny Lennon must go!
-
So we could soon have a team lining up with McGinn, McGinn and McGinn?
Are any of them related to a former Celtic chairman?
-
You live in Arbroath right? Now I'm not an expert on miles but I'm guessing you are closer to Aberdeen than a lot of other Buddies on here but you didn't go to the recent midweek Cup Match.
Indeed. Its shameful.
-
Folk who just go to a handful of games a season and turn up for semi finals are not real supporters.
Part-time gloryhunters.
-
What do yo do week in, week out?
Oh wait, you don't support St Mirren anymore.
Couldnae make it up.
What relevance is this to the fact that you are a gloryhunter?
We're done, your trolling is getting out of control.
I'm in complete control of my trolling.
Its making you lose control however!
-
I'll not be at the game either.
I'll watch on TV at least until Celtic go 2 up.
-
It's everybodys decision but seems strange that a national cup semi final is deemed less important than a dislike of a set of supporters or their club.
Its no suprise that you deem a national cup semi final more important than bread and butter games that real supporters go to week in and week out.

By the same token, if a big fairy had done a giant Jobby on St Mirren Park overnight then there was also every probability the club would have gone into administration.
The reality is that rangers were removed from the SPL, but despite SG's prediction that Armageddon would ensue, it still husnae happened.
People like SG were talking the game down, predicting doom if their beloved ICBINR went out of existence, in order to convince fans that a dirty deal must be done to keep them in the SPL.
Let's not forget that bad time and bad performances, and let's not gloss over it.
That is all totally true Bluto. I agree with you.
However, its irrelevant to the fact that Rangers going down the tubes had nothing to do with Gilmour and with most of the squad not out of contract this summer, there was nothing he could do to "fix" things.
You also have to look at it from Gilmour's perspective. If the worst had happened and sponsors and Sky had pulled out then Gilmour would have been faced with either ploughing in more of his own cash to save the situation or put the club into administration.
The fact is that since SD claimed that Gilmour was "killing the club softly" the club has in actual fact been completely and utterly transformed.
-
Not at all. There were plenty of others in the room - why would I make it up?
You'd make it up because the actual facts show you are wrong.
-
No. As I said at the meeting the thing I found surprising - even shocking - was that Gilmour was claiming that he didn't think Rangers would go into liquidation despite already knowing that they were in Administration with a pending tax court case that was likely to bury the club under a further £100m of debt. Gilmour was claiming that had he been able to predict Rangers demise in March 2012 he could have fixed things at St Mirren Park so St Mirren would have been OK, but instead he was caught on the hop with the sudden liquidation. Rangers went into administration on the 14th of February 2012.
What could he possibly have done to "fix" things before the summer?
I suspect you have made this bit up...
-
Yet I was sat at a meeting with Gilmour during the summer where he predicted the loss of Rangers from the SPL could put St Mirren out of business. You are right though - that wasn't so much killing the club softly as stamping on it's head whilst knifing it repeatedly through the heart.
The word there is "could".
Had the sponsors and TV money been pulled out then there is every probability the club would have gone into administration.
And how would that have been Gilmour's fault?
-
I think we done not too badly out of the Caledonia street facility
The Caledonia Street facility lost money every year, hence why they gave it up to a 3rd party.
Carey And Parkin First To Go.........

Under Lennon, yes.
Mainly because Lennon didn't play him / allow him to take free kicks / forced him to take short free kicks / forced him to make short passes on the deck than get in deep long crosses.
We also never saw Carey's long throw when he came back because of Lennon's ludicrous tactics.
Graham Carey has been wasted by Danny Lennon. He'll do the business with someone else and come back to haunt us.
