You lot are sharp as a tack as ever 😆 My original tweet should’ve said first time we have BEATEN ICT in a cup competition. Yes, I am having a nightmare this weekend leave me alone 🤣 twitter.com/bawarmy/status…
Busy week coming up for Saints with County away on Wednesday followed by the (more than likely) Killie game on the Saturday. FlashScore showing up the game next weekend as a 1700 kick off?
Make no mistake the performance yesterday was nowhere near our best. I actually thought we played better in our loss to Motherwell last week tbh! At the end of the day we are into the quarters and we can’t ask for more than that. McGrath, Alnwick and Dennis standouts yesterday.
Thought Dennis’ took his goal very very well and it killed the chance of ICT building any momentum scoring immediately after their opener. Kristian Dennis = goals and that’s just a fact!
Killie currently leading their tie with Montrose 2 goals to the good so looks very likely we will be facing them at Rugby Park in the quarters. Expecting another difficult game but one which I’m sure the players will relish and the incrntive is there for another trip to Hampden!
In all seriousness absolutely delighted for Mason, Fraser and the whole team yesterday for managing to overcome what proved to be a very difficult cup tie. That’s the first time we’ve met Caley in a cup competition believe it or not and it felt good to make it a W!
