  1. So my sky sports news app updated and it now allows you to add the teams you follow for tailored sports news.

I opened up the Scottish teams expecting there to be only our current top flight. But they also had Hibs and Rangers, no surprise. Theres no St Mirren unfortunately but they do have Falkirk and DUNFERMLINE!?

Struggling to understand why they wouldn't have Saints but have a team in the 3rd tier.

    What a shiter.

  2. Apologies in advance I this has been discussed elsewhere (I couldn't be arsed trawling through all the 'we are all doomed.... doooooooomed!' threads).

Last night, Jordan Stewart was stretchered off after what was reportedly a horror foul by Mullen of Livingston. The latter received a straight red card, but because we had used all our subs, we were also reduced to 10 men.

Now, surely this cannot be reasonable. For me, if a straight red results in the wronged against team being reduced to ten men as a result of consequent injury, they should be permitted to make a further substitution.

Thoughts (and I am not thinking specifically about whether this would have influenced the match last night)?

I suggested this to a friend yesterday but his response was that it would be open to abuse.

A player might fake bad injury in order to get fresh legs on the park? I'm sure some arshole like Mourinho would figure out a way to abuse the rule.

  3. I think other clubs will pay a fee, which can be quite expensive, for the right to broadcast live to their subscribers. They'll have more subscribers than us. Aberdeen only broadcast commentary as far as I'm aware.

Ahh! Knew there must've been a catch. Shame, as it'd be good for the smaller teams to show their own games. We get a shite deal from sky, bt etc.

  4. Thompson will play 20-25 games this season if fit, and no doubt will score his fair share.

However when we play 451 and are surrendering possession of the ball, he should not start/play. Away at Ibrox, Easter Road for example we should go with the youngsters up front.

Perhaps this was forced on Murray due to the timing of this game and transfers still to occur.

When we are at home against lesser teams, and can dominate the ball Thompson will score plenty.

Spot on. He shouldn't be the lone striker anymore, however it's up to Murray to know that. If the manager says 'right lads we're going with a 451 and Thommo you're up front' he's not going to say no. That was arguably our toughest opponent this season. Thompson will show his old self against some of the smaller teams as the season goes on.

    COYS.
