  1. Other pubs that come to mind...

    The Cross Bar, where the wee amusement arcade is on St Mirren Street;

    The Long Bar, in Gilmour Street opposite Sportsters. Surprisingly enough, it was the longest bar in Paisley;

    The St Mirren Bar, under the railway bridge on Moss Street, a DIY shop now.

  2. it was called a few names one was the gallow green bar

    jackie copland owned the crown not the bar across the street

    and the bob inn or stringfellows was in greenock road :P

    Where did anyone say it wasn't in Greenock Road? :unsure:

  3. I remember when the Elbow Room was the Sheep's Heid. I also remember a pub in Springbank Road called The Vaults (way before my drinking days). And the Bowlers being reopened as a trendy pub called Jorries.

    You may have mentioned this one Tom and I didn't notice - what was the pub that was on Broomlands Street across from the Crown? Broomlands Bar perchance? I think Jackie Copland owned it for a while but it's now a curry house...

  4. 1. The Godfather trilogy - pure unadulterated keech

    3. The James Bond franchise - particularly after Seen Canary chucked it

    4. Any silent movie - particularly if Chaplin is in it
