  1. Alex Rae outed as a rangers fan. Why didn't the board know about this before appointing him.

    Shocking

    :-o

The fact that he's a Rangers fan isn't the issue. I think most folk can deal with that. We wouldn't get very far if we ignored everyone who supports the Old Firm.

But he should keep it to himself.

The fact that the St. Mirren manager was actually openly supporting Rangers at a live game in amongst Rangers supporters is the issue.

The fact that they are a club with a business model based on exploiting sectarianism, hatred and violence makes it worse.

Not surprised that you don't have a problem with that.

  2. Those who want to turn a blind eye are the very reason we still have an Old Firm.

We had a chance to get rid of Rangers for good in 2012, which, at the same time, would have been Celtic's death knell.

It would have been a huge improvement not just to Scottish football but to society in general.

This is the most important issue in Scottish football. By far.

Rae and Carswell should both be sacked.

I won't be back till they are both gone. The club needs to make a stand.

  3. Nonsense. He pops up with assists and goals on a relatively regular basis ever since he got in the side.

If anything he's better going forward than he is defending.

Well he shouldn't. Left backs should defend, not attack.
  4. The reason there is still a Rangers to allow folk like Carswell to make an arse of themselves is cos the likes of pozbaird fought so hard to allow the Rangers tribute act into Scottish football... Supported by the likes of kendo and faraway.

The chance to change Scottish football - and Scottish society - was back in 2012.

    That chance is gone now.

Those of you responsible know who you are. Shame on you.

  5. Just for the record, I didn't say what you've quoted me as saying. Now your either misquoting me or lying again.

And saying someone is going to be somewhere doesn't necessarily mean there going to be doing something. 2+2 doesn't equal 5, the story of your life getting it wrong. AGAIN

Did you ever find the figure you imagined that the LSE published?

Stuart Dickson has left the thread..........................

As Stuart has quoted, you made 2 threats in the link that you yourself provided.

Hilarious and pathetic at the same time!

  6. The players accepted the EBTs, and accepted the advice of the club that they were perfectly allowable in their circumstances. They would be liable to pay the tax due, if and when HMRC decides that they were used inappropriately, and also if they decide to pursue those who had EBTs.

No. HMRC is pursuing the club for the tax.

The point is that the payments were contractual - hence the side letters. The contract was for a net amount to the player. It was the club that was avoiding tax.

The side letters weren't registered with the football authorities and this is where the cheating comes into play. Had they been registered then tax would have been due.

The likes of pozbaird, kendo and faraway saint all wanted to turn a blind eye to this.

    Shame on them.

  7. I really can't understand why Ernie pretends to be an expert on every subject.

The walloper doesn't even know how the public debt is funded!

As for oaksoft, I think we can dismiss the rantings of a fat, lazy, lowly paid lecturer who spends Christmas day boasting about his work life balance in the general nonsense section of a football forum!

  8. Thommo owns a lovely house in Arran,I guess the EBT paid for it.

I don't think any of the players can be blamed for the EBTs.

It was Rangers who avoided paying the tax and NI.

It allowed them to sign players they otherwise wouldn't have been able to sign.

The biggest cheat in Scottish football ever.

And Pozbaird, Kendo and Faraway Saint wanted to turn a blind eye to it.

  9. Its been the same for the past few seasons.

    Shit manager

    Miss out on signing targets

    Make shit signings

Lord Pityme & Froggie point this out

Forum happy clapping mob defend manager and BoD to the hilt

Forum happy clapping mob abuse anyone who disagrees with them

    Shit start to the season

Forum happy clapping mob continue to defend and abuse

    Season gets worse.

Forum happy clappers start to turn on manager and BoD

Lord Pityme & Froggie point out that they were right. Yet again.

Forum happy clapping mob abuse them.

    I predict the same again.

  10. On Saturday there were only 2 players in the starting XI who came through the youth system.

Considering we are in a lower league and not a lot of cash you would think this would be the time we are blooding young boys.

But we're not. Cos we don't have any.

Stevie Mallan is a good player, but even he has a thread dedicated to whether he is actually that good!

Our youth system over the past 15 years has been dreadful. St. Mirren used to be a conveyor belt of great talent. Great young players continually emerging.

Now they are few and far between and we've now sold a player for big money since Joe Hughes left the club.

Something needs to be done. The complete failure of the youth system over the past 15 years is a major reason why we're in the bottom half of the Championship.

  11. It was reported that AR wouldn't know the budget until the board knew which league we were operating in next season. That was only assured yesterday. The other issue is which players will be on the market after being released? That is the market we are operating.

What do you mean by "being released"?

    Did Bosman pass you by?

Players are either in or out of contract. Clubs can't hold on to the registration of players if they are out of contract anymore!

Alex Rae will already know the names of every player in Scotland and many of those in England and beyond are will be coming to the end of their contracts!

  12. Its odd when you look at the Falkirk side.

Guys like Miller, McCracken & Kerr see all guys folk on this forum all insisted that we shouldn't sign at some point or another cos they were shite.

Their main striker is a lower division jobber who we let go years ago.

If this shower of crap can manage second place in a league that contains The Rangers then winning the league must surely be the target next season?
