I don't understand this line of argument at all.

It WASNT a black man making the remarks. You have no way of knowing what the response would have been in that scenario.

We are not seeing the full clip or context here. I suspect the airline tried to find any response which would have calmed the situation down. On the surface it looks like they made the wrong call but we are only seeing a snippet of what happened.

I guess since we are only seeing a "snippet" of what went on then there really isn't any point in commenting on this according to you.

Also if this was a black man behaving like that I am pretty much 100% certain what would have happened

  2. Saw him compared to Zippy off Rainbow which made me laugh.

For me obvious mental health issue and handled badly by airline, although I expect they will learn lesson from it.

Interesting though if a black man had done this to a white woman whether mental health issues would be the first response or if the airline would have handled it the same . Very much doubt it.

The assistant ref is a wee Tory runt though. He guessed it was over the line. Look at how he ran to the halfway line, his fecking leader has shown more decisiveness over Brexit than he did in that moment. Not good enough. Shafted again by a Tory, how many times has that happened to the people of Paisley?

I think your guessing that he guessed ?.

For me it over the line and obvious and I'd expect a linesman to see it.

All kind of abuse thrown at Collum and all wrong ?

Top football referee, refereeing at the top level in Europe every season along with the team of linesmen he had yesterday.

Can I ask how you came to that conclusion ? I have not said one way or the other having watched the highlights as of yet cameras don't show one way or the other if the ball crossed the line.

The picture on this thread shows it. Samson's left hand is way behind the line and he's pushing the ball out.

Anyway the linesman get one view at it and from what he saw of it, he thought it was in. End of

We were beating by a better side yesterday and as a club they were a benchmark as to where we can and should be aiming to get too. That's the lesson to learn from yesterday.

Not  disappearing up you backside over whether the second goal was over the line or not. The history books won't change the fact it was a goal

Thought we were out thought today. Beaten by better players and very good manager.
Won't always be this way, its a cycle. Might take five years to get back but we are heading for Championship again.

Don't 100% agree with your last sentence. the rest I do.

We need to stay in touch to the window and then Kearney needs to get to work big time. Needs to do the job McIntyre did at RC.

We are better under Kearney. The team spirit is better, we are more competitive and the quality of player he has brought in is better than anything that Stubbs brought to the club

I'm not certain on Kearney overall and he wasn't my choice. Ridiculous gamble by the board in reality. Dundee appointed my choice, though most on here wouldn't have touched McIntyre.

So far  though I think Kearney is doing fine and needs time to sort out an utter disgrace that Stubbs engineered. Long way to go in the season yet. Too early to be talking relegation

Take it you haven't seen the reaction of the Dundee fans then ? They are furious and if his usual sidekick Dodds pitches up they will go Tonto. Talk of boycotts and virtually no slack being cut suggest it might not be the appointment we see it as.

Just the usual morons. Not worth bothering about. Every club has them. If he does the job he did at Ross County when marooned at the bottom the season we went down they all be crawling up his backside at the end of the season.

Maybe the fact he played for United is  a big factor too in their knuckle dragging judgement.

Should have been our manager but that's in the past now.

I think you explain things very well. Added to which perhaps might be the salary level at United might be higher and perhaps United willing to compensate for the loss of any payments being made by MK Dons.  I don't think (just my opinion) that Saints would have been up for that at that time when other candidates looked good on paper.

Hmm, did Stubbs really look good on paper ?

I'd have put Kearney or McIntrye in front of him all day long.

I'd have put McIntrye in front of Kearney also.

Didn't want Neilson either, I'd rather have a manager that was successful on his own at multiple clubs without any Director of Football over him, vetting his signings.

Hodgson is a better option at left back than coulson but that's about as positive as I can be about him. McGinn a better option at right back and a fit eckersley better at left back.
    In my opinion, obviously emoji6.png

Yep I tend to agree on Eckersley too.

I dont' think Kearney would have signed Hodson either.

Of the Stubbs signings though he is the only one I can give pass marks to, just.

    Who? Hodson and Edwards....?

there the only ones getting a game just now.  If you want to see players up their game, take responsibility and be positive then we as a support and club need to drop continually whinging about Alan Stubbs..! The board picked him and f**ked up, its their bad. To keep stating over and over that its "his players that are killing us" is simply giving everyone else a ready made excuse for their poor performances!

Smith spat the dummy out about being shifted and dropped. Since then, played back where he favours, he's been poor! S McGinn went to the media to tell them our lack of performances and  results was based on how little first team football Stubbs recruits had played... since the newbies have been dropped he has been poor also!

footballers whinge about anyone, and everyone except themselves, our lot need to know that THEY have no hiding place now! They managed to get their last manager punted, so lets see them show us why that was the right move!

Hodson is the only one of Stubbs signings who is good enough.

I personally don't rate Edwards either but other's do so its just opinions.

Stubbs was a disaster for St Mirren from start to finish.

Don't buy the argument that they aren't good enough. Both McGinn and Flynn have good experience in England and were SPL players before moving down south. Edwards has played two or three years in the SPL. I think the problem is all the players are too similar in style. We really need a good experienced ball winner in midfield, but I think we'll probably need to wait for January to get that. In the meantime I'd be tempted to change the style, possibly go more direct.

The only players i'd keep in our midfield are McPherson and Macgennis. The rest are not good enough. Problem is we can't ship them all out as we already have too many players.  January is huge for Kearney and will define our season. We need to shift as many out as possible. Kearney has a much better grasp of the type of player and standard we need as does Gus McPherson. The players Stubbs brought to the club is killing us, we need to stay as close to the pack as possible up til Jan and then Kearney and McPherson really have to get to work

This is exactly how I saw it as well. I genuinely thought MacPherson was lucky to even make it to half time, but his second half performance was excellent. If only he hadn't missed that sitter it would have been even better.

I also agree that Flynn (and McGinn also for me) were good in the second half. Surprised at the negativity towards them when they were the ones driving the midfield forward in the second half and creating the chances.

Probably the biggest game of McPherson's career so far. In the first half the pace of the game just passed him by and he was gasping for a second wind. Second half he showed what a prospect he is

Team progressing under Kearney. His assessment of the squad is spot on and the players he is bringing in are improving the team. I'm confident he can get us above Livingston and Hamilton this season.

Also highlights what a disgraceful job that Stubbs did.

I don't watch Sportscene last season as we weren't playing the teams that feature on it.  I do this season.  I didn't watch games on Sky or BT as they didn't show teams that we were going to face.  I do go and watch some of these this season as they feature Scottish Teams that we will play.  I don't watch Foreign games on TV as again,  we won't be meeting these and I have little or no interest in these matches. I guess we are all selective to varying)  degrees.

Yes but you will know most of the Premiership results at the weekend and take an interest in the Championship and lower levels too. They couldn't care less. Most non OF supporters, support and follow the game, OF fans only interested in themselves and bettering the other

LB. Taking a ribbing isn't fun.  Never has been.  I tend to send a congratulatory text or one of commissirations to friends who support other teams and you know what,  I get the same from them.  This season I have started going to the local pub for a Diet Coke and to watch the odd televised Scottish game.  The folks know that  I support Saints and treat me well... Even after our recent draw with Celtic.  They probably wouldn't go asking me to their house and I would be the same with them but they are good company whilst still being passionate about their respective teams.

"How did your team get on at the weekend"  means they don't know because they have no interest, even when they know who you support and they ask the same question every Monday. they have no interest in clubs like St Mirren and lower levels of the game.

Can't agree.  I very strongly dislike the sectarianism that surrounds them though.  I dislike that this was used to build two large supports which have been polarised around this issue.  I don't like that this led to them having financial advantage and through this dominating Scottish Football. I don't like the political and sectarian songs that have been sung.  I don't hate them though,  nor their fans.  I do see small elements of progress at their home games in particular away from those from the past into more modern adaptations of tunes.  Enough?  Not yet but it's a start.

Didn't include their fans, maybe 5% of them are ok. Not the one's on Monday morning asking "How did your team get on at the weekend"
