Would be very surprised if this the marquee signing. Decent record with Thistle but is getting on a bit at 31.
Don’t think he’s the marquee one Stubbs has referred to.
Ross Stewart may be used as part of the deal.

Bid accepted for Kris Doolan, I’m hearing. Nowhere near the “six figure sum” that has been touted but likely to be announced by close of play tomorrow at the latest!

And the papers said we played badly , always a good sign when so many players played well . I thought it was a good game , similar to the last game we played against them , with both teams creating chances , but leaving themselves open . Would be quite happy with us signing Liam Polworth

Agreed and our second loan deal. How many are we allowed?
I think its four.

I’d definitely take Miller as long as he’s willing to take a reasonable pay packet here.

Stephen McManus?
I think this would be the most likely although I'd hope compensation wouldn't be an issue!

Absolutely.
Couldn’t care less what it is called - sell to the highest bidder!

Is what we’ve renamed the stadium to for the next 4 years.

Last played for Swiss side Servette in 2017 making one appearance according to his wiki page.
Only played 31 games (mainly as a sub) since leaving Hibs in January 2016.
Would be a risk but he was certainly a good player for Hibs.

Jim McAllister will be very fortunate to get a League One club.

Mcintyre would fill me with fear. Any County fan would tell you that it was the chairman’s deep pockets that bailed them out - he went through 50 odd players in two seasons, paying off umpteen contracts costing the club a fortune.

Micky Mellon's assistant is called Michael Jackson - surely this is some sort of windup?
Micky Mellon Mirren manager goes with McGinn & Magennis in midfield.

Now Neilson has officially pulled out of the running (as this poster told you) time to look at who is still in the frame, and who we fancy.
as we know it Kearney, McIntyre, McCoist, Caldwell, Stubbs and Possibly Guti are due to be interviewed with a curve ball name Larsson perhaps a goer or a bluff?
For me Caldwell and Stubbs offer little, i fear if either of those two were picked we would be subjected to watching them and the team die a 1000 slow lingering deaths. McIntyre is a decent shout, Kearney could be a diamond in the rough?
I, along with I would imagine, a number of fans would have deep reservations about bringing Aunt Sally. However imagine the seethe if it was him, and we could inflict a defeat on either Sevco, or their green bigot mates, or indeed both!
if he comes with McDowall thats a very decent prospect. The one that has me thinking the most is Guti... probably like me most think theres no chance, but if the guy is genuine? Along with being a football legend, a proven coach of youth and prepared to walk away from a very comy billet at Real Madrid, to take wind swept, pissing it down multiple training sessions at Ralston, then I would have him in a hearbeat!
he is displaying a real hunger to come here, on a lot less money, with a much smaller backroom team, and prepared to put himself front & centre in a totally different football landscape! I like that, even if its for one good season (make sure his compo clause is f**king astronomical) i would say "It's All Guti"....
Dont understand all the fawning over McIntyre.
He was terrible at County and was bailed out umpteen times by Uncle Roy.

The interesting thing would be to know the real reason. All this ‘not the right time’ stuff smells of shoite. They all have agents, they are in the fitba’ loop. They’ll have heard something. My money is on St Mirren having one person a shoe-in for the gig, and those dropping their interest know about it. IMHO.
Skulduggery.

Who scored bud?
Junior scored twice - he looked fit as a fiddle and lasted the whole game along with Shuggie, McGarry & Vanzy... Frazer from the Bankhouse also scored a couple, and McGarry scored. Can’t mind the other two!
Ludo saved a penalty and looked in really good shape too.
Vanzy put in a great show second half as a roaming midfielder and Shuggie slotted into centre half when Trigger came off!

JR has recommended we sign Truro City goalkeeper Tom McHale according to the papers.

It is pretty much at the point where it doesn't really matter what we think of each potential candidate.
They are all much of a muchness, and any one of them might do a good job, or might bomb. I imagine each has his own particular attributes, and his own areas of weakness.
Things clicked with Jack Ross and James Fowler. I don't reckon that happens all that often. To be honest, I'm not really expecting it to happen again any time soon. We now need to manage our expectations.
I'm generally relaxed about the manager's position. Whoever we bring in, I would hope he has enough about him to go up against the likes of Neil McCann, Martin Canning, Paul Hartley, and whoever the new Livingston manager is.
The first priority for next season is to consolidate our position. That's a realistic goal. Anything better would be a huge bonus. We should then be looking to build from there.
Have I missed something?

7-3 to the legends.

Henrik Larsson has entered the betting list on various sites.
Also believe this is 100% true but one side is more keen than the other. Still, if he was to be interviewed next week, I'd think he's got as much a chance as anyone.

Lawless and Tansey free agents as of today apparently. My Jags supporting mate in work says losing Lawless is the main reason he is gutted.
Would definitely take Lawless.

Apparently our first choice for Manager is David Hopkin with David Jones ex Wolves Manager also being considered.
Haven't seen Jones name mentioned yet - where was this reported?

Bizarre comment.
So you wouldn't sign a player just because he's played in India?
Paterson doesn't look like he fits the bill from the outside looking in, but could be worth a look in a trial. Played at a high level in England and has some international caps. His career is quite similar to the Thommohawk's, and that worked out okay.
