  1. How do the virus particles breathed or coughed out get from A to B? Surely they mkust fly through the air.

They do. And they land on surfaces. And then people touch them and touch their faces.

The WHO believe that 85% of infections in China happened inside the home.

So what’s our response? Force everyone to spend longer in the home.

  2. I seen this quoted previously from the WHO.

"People can also catch COVID-19 if they breathe in droplets from a person with COVID-19 who coughs out or exhales droplets. This is why it is important to stay more than 1 meter (3 feet) away from a person who is sick."

Yet I seen someone saying that the WHO doesn't say exactly what they did say.

It's not nice seeing folk making false statements.

You are saying that the WHO are contradicting themselves and making false statements?
  3. Its a new virus, there is not enough evidence yet to say one way or the other whether there is airborne transmission of COVID-19, thats why any responsible individual will apply restrictions.

Why don't you go to one of the hospitals in Scotland with COVID-19 patients and ask them to cough near you ?

Also forget the well off/poor comparison to get approval for your junk, your ideas would take many lives of the poor

You’ll need to take this up with the WHO and Imperial College. I’m only quoting what they are saying.

As for it being a new virus, Covid 19 is a coronavirus. There are loads of them. I’m guessing here, but I think the WHO and Imperial College have looked into how conronavurus’ are spread,

And I’m not sure what the similarities between going into a hospital and getting someone to cough on me and walking past someone in open air who doesn’t cough on me are?

  4. What is the problem with visiting second homes ?

    Absolutely nothing

The lockdown is completely unnecessary and will cause 000s of deaths

Unfortunately, for holding this view you get abused.

Indeed, you even get folk like cockles and TPFTWAT wishing for your family to get the virus for holding these views. Shameful sociopaths.

Thankfully there are cracks appearing in their fascist Tory regime. The panic will be well on the wane by the end of April....

Until the second wave starts in autumn, caused by the lockdown

  5. Main take homes

The virus is already on the decline before the impact of social distancing

Social distancing will prolong the virus and make the situation worse

People should be going outside. Forcing people to stay inside will prolong the virus and make the situation worse

The lockdown will cause more people to die from the virus

The lockdown will cause a second wave

Testing is a waste of time

  6. Despite the WHO and Imperial College both confirming that there is no evidence for airborne transmission of Covid 19, Matt Hancock threatens to impose a stricter fascist police state and ban people from exercising outside.

It’s fine for the well off to enjoy the sunshine in their gardens but the poor have to remain under house arrest in their flats.

  7. Combined with existing chronic mental health issues, stress could potentially have the same end result in someone with underlying health issues, who has severe infection of the virus.
Any effects of the lockdown combined with any treatment restrictions, on mental health conditions, in their many manifestations, could be hugely significant in the short term and long term.
I don't think we can underestimate the effects of stress on all individuals in the current situation.

There’s only 1 illness and 1 cause of death in town now

    The rest are expendable
  8. In Germany, several law firms are preparing lawsuits against the measures and regulations that have been issued. A specialist in medical law writes in a press release: „The measures taken by the federal and state governments are blatantly unconstitutional and violate a multitude of basic rights of citizens in Germany to an unprecedented extent. This applies to all corona regulations of the 16 federal states. In particular, these measures are not justified by the Infection Protection Act, which was revised in no time at all just a few days ago. () Because the available figures and statistics show that corona infection is harmless in more than 95% of the population (or has probably even already occurred) and therefore does not represent a serious danger to the general public.“
A leaked confidential strategy paper of the German government shows that the German government, in conjunction with the media and some scientists, is apparently following a „shock strategy“ to make people afraid of a „worst case scenario“. The general population – for whom the virus is largely harmless – should be warned against „painful suffocation“; likewise, children playing in playgrounds could cause the „painful death“ of their parents.

  9. You may think it's funny writing shit like that on a forum but there is folk dying out there.

Try reading it and hope that none of your family die from it.

    1. I don’t think it’s funny. You’re a liar.

    2. Using people dying to score points on a football forum is disgusting.

    3. I did read it, the problem is that you don’t understand it. I get it though, you’re stupid.

    4. Hoping my family get coronavirus highlights that you are an utter scumbag

  10. And yet you keep replying...

I'm concerned UK allows folk to arrive into airports and spread out into wider communities with no health checks during a global pandemic when we are all in lock down to try and prevent the spread.
    My bad.

Maybe when this is over you could enrol in a wee IT course at your local library. They'll show you how to search for stuff, it'll be quite enlightening for you.

Ps - it's worse than the flu.

    Ps- you’re thick as fuck

Just another sad cunt who thinks he’s a hard man online but would no doubt run a mile in real life.

A sad loser and a fat bastard who makes jokes about hundreds of people dying.
  11. Are you issuing threats again? Are you prepared to turn up next time? 🤣

He threatened to put me in hospital in a previous post and then denied it.

The thing is, he knows he did it and I know he did it. Any denials are irrelevant.

He thinks he’s a hard man and threatens folk online. He’s a sad pathetic loser. And a cowardly liar.

  12. I see the bawless #Babykíller has returned.

Still not willing to put a name to your allegation. [emoji23]

Well you threatened to put me in hospital im a previous post and have repeatedly denied it.

I can’t vouch for Stuart but I do know for a fact you’re a liar and you think you’re an online hard man.

I know it and you know it.

    You’re a cowardly liar.

ps thanks for your post above proving what I said was true. Quality work default_1eye.gif

  13.

So what do the WHO actually say and not in a trolls words.

    https://www.who.int/news-room/q-a-detail/q-a-coronaviruses

People can catch COVID-19 from others who have the virus. The disease can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales. These droplets land on objects and surfaces around the person. Other people then catch COVID-19 by touching these objects or surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth. People can also catch COVID-19 if they breathe in droplets from a person with COVID-19 who coughs out or exhales droplets. This is why it is important to stay more than 1 meter (3 feet) away from a person who is sick.

WHO is assessing ongoing research on the ways COVID-19 is spread and will continue to share updated findings.

Deary me. All of this backs up what I posted!

    Thanks [emoji106]

Here, I’ll repeat your own quote....

“airborne spread has not been reported for COVID-19 and it is not believed to be a major driver of transmission based on available evidence”

  14. Report from the WHO states that:

    COVID-19 is transmitted via droplets and fomites during close unprotected contact between an infector and infectee. Airborne spread has not been reported for COVID-19 and it is not believed to be a major driver of transmission based on available evidence;

In other words, you will not catch nor transmit Covid 19 by going outside or by going within 2 metres of people.

Both of these measures as part of the lockdown achieve absolutely nothing.

  15. The death rate for the flu is something very low like 0.005%, educate yourself.

Dear me, just noticed this. Maybe closer to 0.1% baz.

Inflating the rate 20 times over and then telling me to educate myself.

  16. This was on the BBC website the other day, no matter how you cut it, it’s bad news all round

What about the impact of the lockdown?

The lockdown, itself, however could cost lives.

Prof Robert Dinwall, from Nottingham Trent University, says "the collateral damage to society and the economy" could include:

    • mental health problems and suicides linked to self-isolation
    • heart problems from lack of activity
    • the impact on health from increased unemployment and reduced living standards

Others have also pointed to the health cost from steps such as delaying routine operations and cancer screening.

Meanwhile, University of Bristol researchers say the benefit of a long-term lockdown in reducing premature deaths could be outweighed by the lost life expectancy from a prolonged economic dip.

And the tipping point, they say, is a 6.4% decline in the size of the economy - on a par with what happened following the 2008 financial crash.

It would see a loss of three months of life on average across the population because of factors from declining living standards to poorer health care.

    And baz supports this

A shocking disregard for human life
  17. You assume we are just like Sweden with no basis. As I already pointed out to you, it is speculated the much larger number of single occupancy properties in Sweden is a major factor. We don't have that in many built up areas of Scotland. It also may be very premature, we don't know what could happen there. Some experts are predicting mass infection.

The point that also completely beats you, which I pointed out earlier in the week is we had similar restrictions in place to what you want, 2-4 weeks ago and data that came out of the back of that shows a clear rise in infected. It's only now we are seeing a slowing/ flattening, correlated with the timescales of the lock-down. If we left it as you wanted, the data points to that increase continuing. You can't show why it would suddenly stop.

In a scenario like this, it is predicted there will be contrasting views. Maybe we are going with the risk adverse view. But I'd take that when it comes to human life everyday. I suppose your views being more aligned to the right, you're more happy to gamble with human life and protect the economy. Fine, I'll never agree with that but you're welcome to have that opinion.

Sweden is no different than any other Northern European country in the coronavirus data.

And you wouldn’t take your view with flu?

You’re happy to throw 44,000 people under a bus?

I suppose your views being more aligned to the far right and happy to support a fascist police state means you are more happy to gamble with human life. Fine I’ll agree with that but you’re welcome to your opinion.

  18. The death rate for the flu is something very low like 0.005%, educate yourself. Better yet, leave the decision making to the global health professionals and experts who are on my side on this. Nae luck.

And what is the death rate for coronavirus?

    “ Nae luck”? Really???

    Brilliant!
