    Any actual speculation?

    I heard we’re looking at a full back [emoji185]

Aye, the fool will be back [emoji23]

He’s desperately running round the forum after being caught out lying
  2. Was talking to a Villa fan this morning in Costa Coffee in Leeds.

    He reckons they’re already relegated

    I said he’s wrong and they’ll survive

Man City will beat Watford by 3 minimum and Villa will beat Arsenal by 1 goal tonight

That takes Villa out of relegation zone

Watford will lose to Arsenal on Saturday

Villa will draw with West Ham

    Villa to stay up

    It’s gone beyond obsessive [emoji15]

I know on my phone trying to click on threads sometimes I hit near profile name accidentally due to the way it displays threads, however, his is clearly deliberate & a tad worrying [emoji23]
  4. I might even watch the Derby v Leeds game, see how Leeds look for next season.

If the celebration in Leeds was anything to go by, then sadly you won’t see the best of Leeds in this game.

They are a treat to watch , controlled, disciplined & creative. They average around 65% possession every game very occasionally as low as 55%.

if they go in front the simply rarely lose. 1 game since Bielsa came in have they lost in 2 years from a winning position.

Should they go a goal down, they don’t panic & continue to play good possession football. As with many teams, they often struggle to find the net in games they control.

Completely played Arsenal off the park earlier in the season ( no surprise to any Leeds fan prior to the game ) it was expected but Arsenal did have a better second half going on to win the game.

Leeds had 58% possession overall, 18 shots to Arsenal 16, more passes, better completion rates etc but for having someone more prolific than Bamford, would have won by a few.

El Loco is on Sky Now on demand & it’s an insight into Bielsa & Leeds ( going to watch it later , hopefully as good as the 4 part documentary on Leeds & Bielsa called Take us Home

Derby beat Leeds in play off semi final last year, Leeds will want to end the season on a high.

    Derby 2-3 Leeds

  5. Congratulations to Leeds United in achieving promotion to the Premier League.
Another "sleeping giant" returns to the big time.
As with the majority of teams coming up, it'll be difficult to STAY in the league next season.
They will join my list of teams that I have an interest in as they, like Liverpool and Man United, had some great Scottish players back in the day.

Indeed, obviously nobody has ‘the right’ to be in a particular league, it’s earned, however it’s really good news for the City also.

Bielsa is quite a character & the 4 part documentary ‘Take us home’ gives a real insight to the man, the club & the City.

An excellent achievement, but as you say, survival will initially be the priority.

Nervy end to the season, but on possession, passion & style of play it’s definitely deserved.
  6. aye it is.  Has been a Paisley stalwart store for many a year now.  Sad to see it go.

Littlewoods, Goldbergs, BHS, John Menzies, Clarks, Woolworths, Stereo one, Galbraiths all gone and now Sparkies of Markies will follow.

The lack of free parking, a halfwitted designed one way system and the lack of traffic on the High Street has seen our thriving town descend to a ghost town.

Thats what Buddies get for voting Labour all those years.

Stupid Labour voters, stupid Labour voters indeed.

The shameful and worst thing is, ‘we’ the people have said for umpteen years , the parking and one way which isn’t necessary in our town has played a very big part in putting people off visiting the town centre.

Yes, Braehead, Silverburn etc ALL the more reason to take the hit on free parking & allow traffic through the town again,

The council have been awful for years, but hey , keep voting them in & nothing changes
