When did you last see St Mirren, that team in black and white stripes, play?

Who told you that we played in black and white ?

A programme on Channel 5 tonight regarding the power cuts of 1974 triggered my memory.
Scottish Cup Third Round
26th January 1974
Stranraer 1 St Mirren 1 at Stair Park .
29th January 1974 Replay
Played on a Tuesday afternoon as Floodlights were banned due to the power crisis.
St Mirren 1 Stranraer 1 at Love Street, after extra time.
4th February 1974 Second Replay
Played at neutral Somerset Park, Ayr
Stranraer 3 St Mirren 2.
You know who is still conspicuous by his absence on this topic . Going by his age, he should have known the above and many other Saints memories.
Him being a non St Mirren fan and a non football fan, he actually knows f**k all about our sport .

The talent we had in that era. Scanlon was fantastic as was Peter Weir before him. It was a marvelous time to be a buddie.
Wasn't it Faraway Saint ?
No wait !!!
Sorry
Silly me.

Give it a rest ya boring c**t 😡.
If you know something about the said player’s whereabouts, please let us know - if not , take your useless contribution elsewhere .Did he not know ?
That's a shock.

Hampden Park and Lesser Hampden for Queens Park away.

Need to see if anyone can help here .
I’m at an event today & speaking with Duncan Davidson ( ex Aberdeen ). He says that Iain Scanlon seems to have just disappeared from his former teammates network & no one knows where he’s at or what he’s doing .
Anyone know anything ?Faraway Saint should know.
He is the go to St Mirren expert and general f**king know all.
Maybe he is Scanlon.

Hey Faraway Saint, you must remember your beloved team playing against Clydebank at Kilbowie, Boghead and also Cappielow ? Tell us something strange which happened at Cappielow in the year 2000.

We’ve played Hamilton at 4 different venues. Douglas Park, New Douglas Park, Firhill and Cliftonhill we’re all home to Accies within the space of about 4 seasons in the 90’s.
Was at Cliftonhill when we played Àccies. I think that was the day the late great Bubbles had a health scare and was taken off.
Faraway Saint will confirm.

Hello Shull, hope your illness gets better soon.
Try to keep your trolling to other threads, some people are interested in this subject. 🤣🤣🤣
I am interested in it. Let me see your contribution. You must have countless memories of everything St Mirren. I can't wait.

I am not shull and I am as fit as f**k. Tell us all your ups and down of being a St Mirren fan from the 1960's till now. You must have lots of stories. Tell us about your trip to Fir Park for the cup tie in 1977. A person of your age supporting St Mirren must have been there. Tell us about your thrills of that season. Who were Fergie's Furies ? Do you know who Fergie was ?
You must have many St Mirren stories. Let's be having some .

No post from Faraway yet on this thread, must say i am very surprised 😜
Faraway Saint is conspicuous by his absence on all St Mirren history and memories threads . He has no memories. He is not a Saints fan , never has been . He has never been to a match and has no knowledge of anything St Mirren from the 1960's till now.
He contributes to nearly every topic on here , usually trolling, but nothing on St Mirren history. A fake.

You may pick a manager for your all star Saints six a side team.
Tom Hendrie for me.
-
What a thrilling tournament it was a few decades ago.
Great to watch and a fantastic atmosphere , would love it to return.
Anyway , what would your all time favourite St Mirren six a side team be ?
You can choose any player from from any era.
Go for it.
Mine would be ..........
Campbell Money
Alex Beckett
Victor Munoz
Billy Davies
Frank McAvennie
Lewis Morgan.
Beat that
Edited to add a Manager - Tom Hendrie

Just "caught" the last 10 minutes of Death in paradise.
Tragic acting, lazy writing, same story, different washed up actors week after week and probably costing the BBC a fortune.
Surely TV for the brain dead?
You seem to watch it every week .
Why are you always abusing people who you believe have mental illness ?

I know
Every Saints fan knows.
I was there on that April night with many others.
Faraway Saint wasn't and he hasn't a clue about Fergie's Furies. That is the point.
Do keep up. You missed the point.

Seriously, why are you on a St Mirren forum abusing St Mirren supporters ?

You are so fuming. Just tell the truth that you're a fake saint.
Did you ever go to Love Street ? The away end doesn't count .
You hate St Mirren and you bully and abuse Buddies on a St Mirren forum.
