And you will still be watching from some scabby Glasgow pub I presume ???
Sounds of tumbleweed Tam. To be more exact "some scabby Celtic Clydebank pub".
-
Looking at the big picture, Roy Aitken was one one of our most disasterous signings. In a bracket with Archibald, Wishart, Stickroth, etc.
Ok, Aitken maybe wasn't the best idea overall, but let's not categorise him along with the utter dud and waste of £300k that Wishart was! ;-)

Howieson has stated his international career is on hold to benefit his club football.
Ah, didn't know that. Interesting.
-
Howieson was on the bench for New Zealand back in March, but then missed their 3 games in July (Pacific Games). They are due to play Myanmar (Burma) on 6th Sept.

Mallan is talented. Baird has shown some very early promise. Agnew has a good strike on him. Can't say I've seen anything else worth talking about, other than Mcmullan but, as previously mentioned, he's not ours.
-
Murray is just in the bloody door.
He sees potential in the Baird and Kelly partnership... but needs time to coach them and get the best out of them.
I for one am prepared to give him time and in doing so, support our yoing players in their development and through the errors they will no doubt make.
Isn't that what any "supporter" should do?
The strongest XI should be played at all times. Murray isn't playing out strongest XI. Far from it in fact.
-
Why pick on one player
The team is too young
Either play Goodwin or get rid
Because he's utter guff and has been roasted in every game I've seen?
-
Murray on St Mirren radio saying we dominated the game. I must have been watching a different game as I felt Dumbarton were superior in every position and retained possession far better. Certainly the hungrier side. Piss poor performance.
That's the icing on the shitcake. Not many things as annoying as a manager who can't admit he was beaten by a better team on the day.
-
Not really wanting to get on a manager's back so quickly, but if he thinks Luke Conlan is a player worth signing and Lewis Morgan should be starting before Mallan, then he's much mistaken.
-
I'm struggling to think of a worse left back. Maybe Ryan McCay. Maybe.
-
If the club have the slightest interest in making it a success they would drop the membership scheme completely and open it up for the first 300 in each match-day, £5 a ticket to include a drink/pie. It would also appeal to some main stand ST holders who could for a premium have direct access before, at half time and after the game.
There are supporters clubs/bars at most grounds that let away fans in for nowt as its so feckin hard to make them pay. This is already a White Elephant in a big drafty room!
Agreed. It's a farce. Other supporters would rightly label this a drinking club for mugs.
-
Carey signed for plymouth unfortunately.
Good news for pub landlords and bakers on the South coast.
-
Howard was far better than Chris Smith.
14 clean sheets for Sheffield United last season was pretty good!
-
Reminiscent of a Daily Record headline. The speculated consequence that may follow another speculated event. With the whole thing built on a dodgy foundation i.e. that we will achieve great things. Jeez oh.
-
Baird and Ridgers have saved us from an absolute roasting. Maybe I'm a 'half empty' guy, but I don't see a good performance from us tonight,
-
Well, on the upside. By some miracle we are still in the game.
-
Has Conlan got a bet on or is he really that bad?
-
Good support rewarded with f all as usual.
-
Sounds like Conlan is having a stormer at left back.
He looks like someone I could match at 5's.
-
What a shower of greeting faced c***s, it's a pre season friendly against an englishb championship side, a level way above anything we will face in the league this season. Get a grip of yourselves fs
Maybe if you could see exactly how shite we look your opinion might be different. We look a pub team. Literally a pub team.
-
Rangers will rip us a new one.
-
For clarity, from someone at the game, we look absolute forking shite. Utterly outclassed.
-
McLean was carrying an injury.
Was he? My recollection was that he had been dropped after woeful performance in February. But as you say, maybe an injury played a part in that.
Anyhow, they are both the same age....... one is a sub for a team in Europe's 23rd best league. The other is the first choice left back in a team in Europe's 3rd best league (according to the UEFA rankings).
-
Think they are about the same frankly except Gauld who has always looked "meh" when ever I saw him.
Put it this way is Mclean a better midfielder than Dummet is a left back? One is playing in the EPL and one in the SPL. Is that down to abiltiy or the quality of their agents/connections? Scott Allen or John McGinn?
Ability (and pace, or lack of). Dummett is way better than McLean in my opinion. One was a guaranteed starter in our cup winning team, the other a guy who's form was so bad he didn't get off the bench.
