Jeff King may be due an apology (though I doubt he'll get it) from a fair few on here who sought to Ass-U-Me to what end he might want a solicitor.
those of us with actual employment law knowledge and experience know that it is common pratice to have your own solicitor oversee any compromise agreement you may be offered. Poor form, slagging off a guy who has actually done the club a favour he did not need to, despite being frozen out and slagged off endlessly.
Yeah, let's apologise to a guy banned from football for calling another player a "golly", because some were a bit cheeky. Should never have been allowed anywhere near the club. As for "done the club a favour".....lol.

Another great result for smart-arse Heaton tonight. Beaten by the mighty Spennymoor Town.

Keepers: Rogers, LynessOK so about 20 including 6 who are currently injured and several youngsters who have played only a few games.
Defenders: Eckersley, Baird, Hodson, Ferdinand, P. McGinn, Erhahon, MacKenzie (injured), Kpekawa (dead man walking)
Midfielders: Flynn, McGinn, MacPherson (injured), Magennis (injured), King (dead man walking)
Forwards: Smith, Jackson, Mullen (injured), Cooke (injured)
So 19, with 5 injured (by my count) and 2 totally out the picture. Plus various wee boys! (Muir, Glover, O'Keefe, Breadner, Jamieson) -
To me, this is the worrying statistic.
Over the last 9 games; 10 points lost after being in a winning position, 0 points gained after being in a losing position. -
He's now scored 8 goals in 6 league games against us, if my counting is right! And it had to be Hardie! -
It's definitely not before his time, trust me!FFS- Its from Fawlty Towers.... maybe before your time -

We lost 7 league games in a row in season 68/69 , we hit that poor run in February , after being 2nd top in December !
Looks like we also lost to Airdrie in the cup as well, so a run of both 7 league games and 7 competitive games lost that season.
We've lost 6 in a row on 2 occasions since then, we were relegated in both seasons. -
There's a difference between loanees at the end of their contracts and under a bit of pressure; and those that know they can go back to the comfort of their parent clubs if things don't go well.Cammy Smith most recently who we had on loan then signed permanent and we have contracts expiring every year are you new to supporting St Mirren?
Harry Davis and Gavin Reilly had successful season with us on permanent deals but have moved on they may as well been on 1 year loan deals shows it makes no difference.
No as many as we need/can afford to help us have a successful season.
You trying to say if we got 10 loanees in and finished top 6 you still wouldn’t be happy?

Cause you're lazy, or don't have the resources. You don't put players out and not monitor them. How else would you know how they're progressing or not. -

Mackenzie may not be the answer, possibly too slow and injury prone.
I'e always though he had decent pace. Getting to that age though where it drops I suppose.

Cheers mate. But I will pre-judge whoever I want and welcome whoever I want.To some, for most, it's about winning games. Stop pre-judging our new recruits or at least make them feel welcomed.

No, I haven't forgotten that. Not that I think Gullit was correct. I think he mistook boos as being race related.Do you forget Saint Mirren fans were accused of being racist by Ruud Gullit in fact the worse he had ever been subjected to. So no better than the boy.
Anyhow, whether he was right or wrong, I dont see the relevance.
Are some of our 4000 fans racist? Probably. Same for every club.
I'm not getting on King's case from the get go here by the way. I just thought it was odd folk seemed unhappy with his racism towards fellow footballers being mentioned. -
Obviously nothing. But for some of us the club is about more than winning games. But what's it got to do with his ability to play. football
-
Eh, that he did it whilst playing football. In what context does it have to do with football.
-
Is the racist thing not to be mentioned then?
-
We signed him and this is his background. And what is the relevance of this post. -
Al says you can't get in.We have 5 bus tickets tomorrow but 1 ticket holder with everyone set to turn up at different times. Can you get into the bar facilities without your actual ticket. Anyone know ?

Ooops Sorry
No problem. When do you think we'll do it? Dundee Utd away?

Can't win the league at Brechin now (if Livingston lose next 2 games and we beat Brechin) we are 15 ahead with 15 to play for.
We can. We would be 15 ahead with 12 to play for.

Still think it will be Brechin as I see Livi drawing their next 2 games.

The ironic thing about this thread is that Les Fridge was a good player.
As was David Elliot! -
7 clean sheets in a row at home. I think we matched that in the promotion season with Gus.
Wonder if we've ever done 8! -

The f**ker couldn't play 1 decent game for us in 6 months U21 game started at 5pm so I'm sticking with 24 hrs with the start of 1 game and the finishing of the 2nd game
No problem I'm sticking with 20 hours with one game finishing at 7pm and the next starting at 3pm.
