He was hopeless for us, he played like a nervous boy. I think we lost every single game he played in from memory, and things only started getting better when Dilo came in.
Surprised he's went on to better things as I hadn't kept up with his career. Maybe he benefitted from the experience of getting beat every week [emoji28]
He's not really went on to better things. It's over 3 years since he left us and in that time he's played just 18 games in League One.
Currently warming the bench for Northampton. -

Wikipedia has him with 46 games. Does that mean he's played 25 cup games? No, he's been a sub in 25 league games, that's how they get to 46.

I keep hearing about 'cheap options' and 'cost cutting'. Did I miss something, do we have millions in the bank and are refusing to spend it like Arsenal?

morgan or mallan
Yeah, it's Lewis Morgan. Our longest serving player is 20 years old!! Just shows you how much disruption there has been at the club over the last few years.
-
And Hutton was the one and only outfield player in that age bracket. Every other player was either in their 30s or under 23. So regardless of Rae's reply, the caller's point was correct. Typical of him to deny his mistakes when clearly demonstrated to him. Dirty h*n %#?$

Now that Jason has gone, any guesses as to who our longest serving player is? He's only started 21 league games which must be a record for our longest serving player!

It certainly won't do any harm. And to contradict myself, I was thinking the other day that the club/SMISA should be subsidising buses to get more of us at the upcoming, crucial away games.

I think the fans do help, i can think of several key games over the years where the fans were the 12th man and lifted the players when they needed it.
Is that not just a coincidence? What about the many games when the fans are loud and right behind the team yet they play badly and lose. -
This season:
Alex Rae : 6 games - 18 points possible 3 points attained
Jack Ross : 12 Games - 36 Points Possible 8 points attained
So , Stephen f**king Hawking...... please explain how that is results going downhill rapidly ?
Because Rae was our manager before this season. You are only looking at his bad spell and ignoring his decent results.
Whereas Ross has had nothing but a bad spell. -
By all means be positive, it's a nicer way to lead your life after all. But 2000 fans are not going to make a significant difference to results.
This is down to the players and the management. Both in terms of the mess and getting us out of it. -
The mega die hards will probably renew regardless. But others, myself included, may just start to pay on the day, see how we get on rather than commit to buying a ticket for every game before a ball is kicked.
We'll probably find out come August. -
Season ticket sales if we go down could be interesting. Most of us renewed after our last relegation as we acknowledged Saints are a team that fluctuates between the top division and the one below.
But 2 leagues down? That's not something Saints fans are accustomed to.
I'm unsure. Sales could remain similar. They could be a disaster. -
What absolute rubbish, Alloa were down when he took over Sir Alex wouldn't of been able to save them! Ross took them straight back to the top of the league and he's had this team of duds and boys playing much better than Rae with the exception being last two games, not sure why. Give him a chance to bring in a couple of players and see what happens. Even if we go down no one can place all the blame on his door. I think he'll come good and should be given the time to build a squad. If that's at league 1 level next year it'll be unfortunate but it'll be down to a lot of factors he hasn't had control of.
Alloa were 3rd when Ross left them. They are now 2nd. So some would say they are doing better without him. -
Couldn't agree more Ally. How many managers in any type of job get to bring in 'their own team'? Very rare in my experience. For one reason or another he's not getting the best out of what we have, and if that isn't corrected soon we will be down.

People were more animated when Queens goalkeeper was time wasting than backing the team at any point.
Soul destroying stuff to witness.
It was embarrassing wasn't it. A team with a 1 goal lead after no wins in 13 league games and being knocked out the cup by Albion Rovers, try to wind the game down. What a shocker!

Think your hearing may need checked
hearing? -
Really disappointed today and I thought some of the senior players really let us down. Thought Webster and McKenzie's distribution from the back was woeful and I also thought John Sutton was pretty non-existent. It is expected that young players will be hot and cold but the older guys should be showing more focus and commitment.
Why are we asking central defenders to distribute the ball? They won every header that came their way, which is what I want from a central defender.
Where were Mallan and Quinn? Gutless performances from our midfielders today.

First visit today. Pretty good venue but it needs some atmosphere. Is there a reason why the projector wasn't showing live football?
-
I've no idea why he would go into the crowd to argue with a fan. Whether the fan is an idiot or not.
Sounds to me like a distraction to his regular, woeful substitutions and the lack of motivation in his team. -
-
We looked beaten before the game started. That's down to Ross.
Clarkson on for Magennis. That's down to Ross.
Devoid of tactics..... blah, blah, blah. -
Usual shite from Quinn. Only upside to him is he'll be off at 60 mins.
