Yeah, the Tartan Army idiots know better than a guy that won 5 championships, 4 cups and played over 400 top flight games.
Strachan is being found out and will hopefully be gone sooner rather than later. -
Chris Sutton's thoughts on wee, rude Strachan. Spot on.

Malta are not a part time team and the FINAL score was 1-5.
You don't really know what you're talking about do you?
You've got some tone on you. You not getting any?
Anyhow, some of the Maltese players are part time, thus I consider them a part time team. You consider them full time if you wish. They have one solitary player playing at a decent level, Schembri at Boavista. They are ranked 176th in the world. St Lucia, Cambodia and the Maldives are all ranked higher.
We were winning 2-1 when they went down to 10 men and we got a penalty. We were struggling, but if you think we were playing well and the same out of form players deserved to start the next game, fair enough. I don't. In my opinion Strachan is hopeless, but he appeals to the Tartan Army and that appears to be enough these days to get that job,

Aye, good idea, drop players who performed well in Malta, great managerial skills.
Yeah, 1-1 at half time against a team of part timers. Awesome.

Not playing an out of form Chris Martin would be a start. In fact, how about playing on-form players in general. What a radical thought!

Type in 'footstepz' and the two teams in youtube and u get some fat english geezers bad video of a day out at the game. At least it shows u mallans goal ( im shit with these things and dont know how to post link)

This has got to be the most bitter post I have ever read from you Top Cat. Ok get Ross was not top of your list but to go on a Stuart Dickson style witch hunt with Ross is well below your normal standard. Give it a rest mate get behind the manager and team and lets see what unfolds over the next few months ( not weeks )
I didn't read any bitterness. Just realism. JR is a very similar appointment to Murray and Rae. That's true.
I think it's safe to say all Saints fans wish him success though. That's just obvious. -
He's been included in the Scotland U21 squad for the two away games against Iceland (05/10) and Macedonia (11/10).

Don't know how. His Queens Park defence didn't cover themselves in any glory this afternoon against Stranraer and anyone paying any attention will have noticed that his side has scored just 5 times this season, less than one goal per league match
They're playing at a level which Queens Park have always struggled at.

As you know, we never, ever really found out why he was stripped of his duties , and why he was basically shunned thereafter until he was out of contract . He would be a good guy to get in and around the club again imo as he is respected by the players , and he certainly wouldn't set up an ex Rangers players v non Rangers players friendly at training
FFS, please tell me you're joking and that didn't really happen!

I suppose on the positive side we're not paying off his contract a few months after signing him, like we used to do on a regular basis. Still reeks of a shambles though.

Our left back is having a bit of a 'mare.

Signed a contract extension till 2019. Excellent news, has the potential to be a star.
OS says the extension is until 2018? -
Bloody Hell- We are in a different place from last two years...... We had Sons rejects,,, that guy we got from some level 8 English Pub team, but his dad had been famous, cant remember his name
James Marwood. Some would say the worst player ever to play for us. Some being me!

Stewart didn't do anything wrong but he didn't support our attacks that well and hardly had a great game. This was the lowest ranked team in Scottish league football and in 45 mins we couldn't find another goal to send us through! It was poor v v poor
Thinking about it, we actually had 60 mins to score the 4th goal. Very poor indeed.

Utter shite in the 2nd half

Ah, I get your point now. Fair enough Magennis hasn't set the world on fire at club level, but he has played for his country in the knockout stages of Euro 2016. I suppose you could also argue that McGregor and McGinn have won the Scottish Cup and McGinn has played for Scotland. Dummett, Isma, Thommohawk and Teale were also class players.
Personally I think we should have done better in the league with the players we had, especially in 2012/13. But yeah, Danny certainly wasn't the sole reason why we finished outwith the top 6, the players didn't consistently perform to the level they were capable of.

I think a valid summary is that if Hamilton win in 90 mins, then we need a 4 goal winning margin over EC and at least 2 of the following to happen...
(Arbroath to win away to ICT OR Dung to win away to Dundee Utd on penalties)
Alloa to win away to Raith
Stenhousemuir to draw or win away to Queen of the South
Stranraer to draw or win home to Motherwell
(Berwick to win away to Morton OR Albion Rovers to avoid a 3 goal defeat at Rugby Park)

It's pretty obvious that the further away the game, the fewer the number of people that will/can travel. Not sure what that's got to do with anything.
Last year I got to see my team play at an iconic stadium such as Hillsborough. Did I travel to Hamilton again for the umpteenth time last week?.........no, I didn't. -
I remember when we used to say the same (or some of us did) about Danny Lennon and his top 6 squad. We binned Lennon and since then only Kenny McLean has finished the season in a top 6 team.
I'm not sure I get your point, but McGowan and Harkins have subsequently played for a top 6 team. Plus Magennis has done alright for himself.

Deary me. Just looked at the tables. We are currently the bottom ranked 2nd placed team on 6 points.
We have no chance without a heap of results going our way.
Even if we had lost 1-0 it would have been tight.
Time to focus on the league.
If we win by 4 goals on Saturday and finish 2nd, we will definitely have more points than the 2nd placed teams in Groups A and B.
As you say though, whether we would have a better points/goal difference than those in another 2 groups........ maybe not.
Maybe Edinburgh City will do us a favour tonight! [emoji4]

So a 4-0 win puts us thro?
Well, we would definitely finish 2nd or higher with a 4-0 win. The four best runners up progress. 9 points and +3 goal difference would probably be enough.
