Full back booked after 10mins? Not encouraging.....
-
And on he comes.... Horrible debut Go on there and limit the damage, son.....
-
Do we have any other option?
No really....

Is it just me or are we clutching at straws here........

Am I missing something here? This guy looks like he has never played for the Swansea first team......?!Think Cornell will be a fantastic loan signing, if what I've read is anything to go by.
Bear in mind that Swansea are now a top class side, playing good football, in one of the strongest and most competitive leagues in the world, so he can't be too shabby.

You might be surprised how many Buddies and Buddie minded people work at the BBC and STV too actually...
Buddies everywhere.....!

Funnily enough I just found this about ten minutes ago and emailed the link to the boys I was with on Sunday, one of whom works for the BBC. Has to be said they have done us proud with the various articles and videos on their website but this is the pick of them all.
Just wonderful......

Just about to head west and my stomach is doing cartwheels already. God knows what the team feel like.....

Several glasses of vino collapso on board and the tension is rising even across here in the Kingdom. Everyone who is not a Jambo wanting us to win. Real feeling of this is our time. A time for the good guys to come through and win. See everyone tomorrow!!!!

Best moment (among many) - Jim Goodwin at the end running to our fans and doing his arms aloft celebration pose. Magic.
Can't recall seeing Jim when the team were over celebrating with the fans and I suspected he was getting interviewed by the media. Heard on the radio on the way home that Goodwin thought his booking had put him out of the Final but wee Chico had told him in the tunnel that the rules for teams who started in the earlier rounds were different (3=ban instead of 2=ban) and he was eligible to play. Suspect he ran straight out the tunnel and up to the fans at that point given the smile on his face!!

Just got back to the Kingdom and had to check the BBC website to make sure what I had just witnessed had actually happened. Was worried I had driven through a hole in the space/time continuum at Harthill and what I had seen took place in some parallel universe. But there is was in all its glory - Stevie Thompson's face as he ran towards the fans....
Just un - be - lievable!!!

About to leave the motor and head for the West ticket portacabin to meet up with a couple of Buds in the pishing rain Conditions will not suit the nancy boys who are only thinking of the trip to Turin so we must get right into them from the start and dont lose any stupid goals. COYS!!!!

Despite recent blips, I'd get Div Barron in the starting line up, purely for the fact that he is a double hard bastard that never hides, is competitive and always gives his all. Therefore, I'd prefer him at right back to DVZ who is found lacking too often for me these days. I also think he s a better defender than DVZ. Less sure about the suggestions to play him in midfield - always looks exposed in there.
Assuming Dummet isn't signed (is he?) I'd play Carey at left back and make sure he's up for putting a shift in. His delivery from set pieces could be vital in a game where we may only have 30% possession. As Guy & Parkin are both mis-firing at the moment, we need to go with The Hawk on his own supported by Gowser, but we need to ensure that we give the wide guys (Teale & Imrie/McGinn) scope to fire crosses in - punting long balls up to a lone striker is suicidal. So I see it something like this
Samson
Barron Mair McAusland Carey
Teale Goodwin McLean Imrie
McGowan
The Hawk
If if ain't working, change it early and give the Portugese lad the chance to make himself a hero!!
Been lying awake this morning with all the questions Mr Zo asks in his post above (#204) going through my head too.
Having thought it though I'm with you on this line-up, LK, with the exception of Imrie. Have to agree with Mr Zo that Dougie lacks a little composure when tracking back and creates problems of the full backs. They'll have enough of these to deal with!
Oh...and whoever said kick everything that moves - I agree with them too!

can we please get some names on the speculation in section on the main page
What? Just to save you having to wade through 15 pages of this shite?
Aye - good point, well made

Nobody could be that stupid surely?
I think you'd be surprised......
Actually naw, you wouldnae....

Would you rather see a 25-man squad entirely from Ferguslie Park?
Now that would be a team with a bit of fight and not afraid of a battle.....

1. 100 Reggae Hits Volume 1
2. 100 Reggae Hits Volume 2
3. 100 Reggae Hits Volume 3
4. 100 Reggae Hits Volume 4
5. 100 Reggae Hits Volume 5
Cheap but not totally nasty reggae collection which amongst the rubbishy 80s covers includes the brilliant:
007 (Shantytown) - Desmond Decker
Rudy A Message To You - Dandy Livingston
Liquidator - Harry J Allstars
54-46 Was My Number - Toots & The Maytals
The Harder They Come - Jimmy Cliff
Guns of Navarone - The Skatalites
..and that's just on Disc 1!
A winner for the iPod

He lacks pace? He'll fit right in.
Harsh but fair......
Like most people on here, I think this can't be a bad thing no matter how slow/past it he is. A bit of experience never goes amiss and McGinn for one could learn a thing or two...

I`m not sure faraway. Do they really qualify ?
Oh I think they must. All those continents between them and Feegie is some fling......
This thread has gone mental since the last time I looked at it - so I'm feelin' a wee bit guilty about appearing as No3 on faraway saint's list However, I could argue that I am so hardcore FFF that I don't even bother turning up on the thread
Going tomorrow but straight back to Fife afterwards to get some distance back into things.
I'll be looking for the Leeds banner, Mush!

I'm so far flung, I've only just caught up with this thread following the prompt on the NI thread on the General page
Great stuff, fs, but you really should get out more.
Now, off to order the hugest t-shirt you can get.....
