If I were to take on the Saints job tomorrow I'd do the decent thing and bow to fan pressure by resigning before the weekend.....

I've not been to AAMI, or Etihad before, although I've watched televised football matches from both and a few Rugby League games, I've watched both AFL and Cricket matches at the cavernous MCG though, and am glad the AC/DC gig is not there.
Don't think the MCG would be a viable option for a stadium gig, to be honest. AAMI was pretty decent. Support band were Hunters & Collectors but didnae find that out until I turned up and I turned up after they finished. Ach well, we may never meet again....so bugger it.....

Interesting 8 part programme starts on November the 10th on the History channel.
Always drawn to the second world war documentaries and the unbelievable concentration camps.
Here is an article from the History channel......
NEW YORK, NY October 13, 2015 In 2014, the FBI declassified over 700 pages of secret documents suggesting the possibility that Adolf Hitler may have survived and fled to South America after the fall of Nazi Germany. A recently unearthed memo from legendary FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover states, American Army officials in Germany have not located Hitlers body nor is there any reliable source that will say definitely that Hitler is dead. HISTORYS new eight-part series Hunting Hitler follows a team of renowned investigators as they reopen the worlds most famous cold case in a definitive search to discover if one of historys most notorious war criminals, Adolf Hitler, actually survived World War II. Hunting Hitler, premieres Tuesday, November 10 at 10PM ET/PT.
Is it conceivable that the worlds most wanted man pulled off historys greatest disappearing act in hopes of possibly one day reclaiming the Nazi dream? Bob Baer, a 21-year CIA veteran and one of the most respected military intelligence minds in the world and premier war crimes investigator Dr. John Cencich lead a team of International military experts on the ultimate manhunt. Throughout the series the experts including International investigators, Nazi hunters, forensic scientists and journalists will examine the compelling mystery surrounding one the most infamous deaths of the 20th Century. With declassified worldwide intelligence providing a wealth of new clues and modern technology never before available, Baer has reopened this 70-year-old cold case to execute a global death claims investigation. From uncovering a mysterious Nazi lair deep in the Argentinian jungle to mysterious plane wreckage in a Columbian marsh, and diving for evidence of a missing U-Boat that could have shuttled Hitler out of Europe as Germany collapsed, the team will stop at nothing to uncover the truth.
Iain, read a book by the name of Grey Wolf written by Simon Dunstan & Gerrard Williams. Published a few years back it deals with this very topic.

Next gig AC/DC at the Etihad stadium, Melbourne, ya f*ck*n beauty!
Saw Springsteen at that very stadium a year back in February!
ETA:- sorry, I think it was actually at the AAMI Stadium; my mistake.

The rubbish that was being written about it - ... the release of confidential banking details,
Actually happened and was posted on line. Many of us saw it and were gobsmacked at your uncontrolable idiocy. And I'm sure there are those on this forum can confirm this situation.
That's because it didn't happen. The guests that day were me, Stewart Gilmour, Bryan McAusland and a bank manager from the Clydesdale Bank called Evie McDonald. There was never any police on site.
No legal presence called to deal with someone who blatantly broke the law? My, what a magnanimous gentleman Stewart Gilmour can be at times.

Just bought tickets for Wolf Alice at the Barrowlands next year. Spoke about this band on here a good while ago - I saw them at King Tuts when they only had an EP out, then recently saw them at the O2 ABC. Now Barrowlands, next stop the Hydro. Guarantee they're heading that direction. Their debut album has been Mercury Prize nominated, they're on 'Later' tonight... When I first stumbled across them I knew they were heading to the big time. Great modern rock band. IMHO he added.
They remind me of someone but I can't for the life of me think who.
ETA: And it's not Elastica.
ETFA: And it's DEFINITELY not Sleeper.

As a season ticket holder at the DinkyDome, I'd be a bit happier if I saw us win in the league from time to time.
I genuinely cannot remember the last time I did. Honestly. Fcuking bollocks so it is.
Yet Saints aren't bottom of the league due to a better record away from home, eh? There's something in that, I reckon......

We're a happy bunch, aren't we....?

No hang on. Dicky is correct about his business.
This'll be that laughable pup he tried to flog to Gilmour who sensibly showed him the door whilst stifling barks of laughter.
It's the root cause of his anti-Saints rhetoric which has persisted to this day.
How could I have forgotten that.
Doh!
You failed to mention the presence of a couple of members of the local constabulary.

Now Terrence is barking at the moon, absolutely whoop ding.
I like this turn of phrase. I'm going to use it from now on. Many thanks, TT.

Right, a few points on the penalty now being cited as an incorrect decision:-
1. It’s not going to change anything; Scotland are still out, Australia are still through, the game won’t be replayed.
2. If a scrum was the correct decision then who’s to say Australia wouldn’t have got something? It was in the Scotland 22 so easily could’ve been a drop goal at least.
3. The referee made an incorrect decision in the first half for a collapsed scrum that earned Scotland three points from a penalty; a bit of a dodgy decision then and now.
4. The late tackle on Stuart Hogg in the run up to the line out should’ve been awarded as an infringement further down the pitch; this has been overlooked and forgotten (except being mentioned above).
5. Over and above everything else it was a badly taken line-out by Scotland & possession should’ve been retained.
So all in yes there was an error by the referee but Scotland have a bit of culpability plus the fact Bernard Foley held his nerve well for the kick as he still could’ve missed. In the end it’s over & done with and life goes on. I certainly don’t want this to be a Maradona thing still being complained about 30 years on. And to be honest I think the team will move on, hopefully learn from this and use it to their advantage.

I just ate some tuna pasta, was decent enough
Here's one for ye:-
Boil up some pasta.
Chop up a chicken breast.
Dice half an onion.
Slice up half a green or red pepper.
Some virgin oil in a pan then stick the chicken in and stir it till the skin is sealed.
Then add some garlic puree to your taste and stir round.
Shove in the onion and keep stirring.
Then add some chilli flakes/powder/lazy stuff ye get in a jar and stir some more.
Add the pepper and stir enough to get them warmed but still crispy.
Drain the pasta, add the lot the gather and stir round then wolf it doon wi' the drink of your choice.
As an aside you could stick in some pesto at the end up an' aw. Nice wee number, as far as I'm concerned.

I procured it from Nibbles in Johnston Street. You also get a free fun size chocolate bar. Their pink coconut cake wasn't that good though, I knew that I should have went for the caramel shortcake.
Excellent; noted for future reference and will be investigated upon my next visit to Paisley.
ETA:- You should ALWAYS go for caramel shortcake.
-
No, that's ham you've got it mixed up with. :@
Ham and chocolate sounds vile!

Prior to a European game against Celtic, Clough took his squad into Davie (the cnut) Hays boozer which was the Hole in the Wa' in Paisley and ordered everyone a drink or two.
Hay was manager of Celtic at the time so you can imagine how pissed off he would have been to hear that before kick off.
Before their first European final he locked all the players in a room in a hotel with stack of beer and said "Nae cnut leaves here until that bevvy is finished off" or words to that effect.
Not only that, he told the staff that H*y was paying for it.

I had a rather nice "Pulled Pork with Mozzarella and BBQ sauce" toasted panini for lunch today.
Sounds delicious. Was this home made or procured from a retailer?
