  1. I agree that cranberries in smoothies leave them tasting a little tart (MISSUS!). Redcurrants likewise. This can be countered with aa spoonful of honey, however. Alternatively, using naturally sweetened soya milk rather than coo juice is another option. Coconut milk is also worth a try for a wee change - its as good as a rest, dontcha know!

Sound advice there, that's well worth delving into. Many thankings to your good self. smile.png

  2. on a positive note we are have not lost any of our last three games. We have only lost one away game and that was at inbrox. More points on the table would be good so maybe yesterdays result will be a stepping stone , fingers crossed.

Don't you bother your arse with posting salient facts and going all optimistic. You'll get barred for that kind of stuff!

  3. Not tried it yet. I got to thinking about it while making guacamole last night. I suppose its a fruit, after all, but I wonder about the final consistency. A potential match for baby shite?

Well, that I can't say as it's not a delicacy I've ever tried however I suppose guacamole is actually some form of smoothie before they ever became popular. Hmmmm; I'm now diving off at a tangent and wondering if Dairylea cheese spread is a sort of cheese smoothie.

I'm not 100% sold on grapes in smoothies. Possibly something to do with the skin.

I usually refer to this as "wine"......

  4. I'm having a smoothie I made fresh this morning for lunch today. I say fresh, but had to use frozen fruit, as the fresh stuff available just now is overpriced, was obviously frozen for transit, and has a shelf-life of 10 minutes.

I did use a fresh banana, of course.

ETA - anyone tried avocado in a smoothie?

Interesting. Do you - ahem - advocadoate it....? whistling.gif

  5. Incidentally, this isn't a story that was made up in the pub and is only known by Saints fans. The comments below are taken from Hearts website Jambos Kickback:-

Well tragically Fitzy's young son (aged 6) passed away from Leukaemia in 1983, apparently the following weekend they were playing Rangers at Love Street, Fitzy came on as a sub and Cooper approached him off the ball and mocked the death of his son, in a way that I shall not repeat. Fitzy of course lost the plot and went for Cooper, resulting in him getting sent off...dragged off the pitch in tears whilst Cooper stood smiling. I worked with his brother for ten years and is a very honest and humble individual, when he told me the story he was also very emotional and it still very much angered the family years later. This is also a well known fact amongst buddies fans also.

Wonderful Footballer, not a very nice human being!

  6. Although we have 80 posts on this, the question is will Ian Murray come good.... the answer is Yes. Unless your Sevco with the ability(illegally) to pay 3-6k a week to players who are better than 90% in the SPFL, you are going to have a period of time where you need to see who performs where in a live game scenario .

We are unbeaten in 3 games, we have just won at a tough venue, you take Sevco out of this league and its a very competitive league. I argue that Hibs have a better team, they don't. It will come down to tactics and desire and belief. Its obvious after Sat that the players are seeing this starting to pay off, We have some super kids and good experience , a good formula. Murray will manage at a far higher level but he took this on because he sees our potential.

Now anyone who questions a manager after 4-5 games is either the owner of Watford or not really up in the way that teams perform. If you want a team that performs, away and do a Chic and sit in the Broomielaw stand along with the other fat, glory seeking, short term tossers

Indeed. The fact that there are predictions of relegation from some despite not having seen all the teams in the league can be summed up thus. Then again, such things can be justified because they "want to see the club do well". Unlike the rest of us, eh.....?

  7. nothing to do with that its been shit since we got there i cant remember a roudy croud since our love street days imho

the corners filled would have def gave for a more hostile atmosphere imho

but that's my view each to their own ;)

I think the biggest, most intense cheer came when Thommo scored the winner against Motherwell a year back in April or so after being two down. Shortly after Well's second goal the home fans really got behind the team by chanting "What a load of rubbish" alongside various shouts of "THAT'S FÚCKIN' SHITE SAINT MURN!" which I thought was a really great, positive supportive way to get behind the team and encourage them to fight back. I mean, after all, if someone at work tells YOU you're shite then you're obviously going to say "You know what mate? You're right. Thanks for pointing that out as I was unaware of it until you told me. Thanks to your insight I'm now going to dig in and prove my worth".

So when the winner went in and Saints got the three points the home fans went mental loud & chanted "we love you Saint Murn", which underlined the part they played in urging the team on to victory and was in no way whatsoever two-faced hypocrisy.......

  8. Beaten by Livingstone - 1 of only 2 teams that are below us in the league.

We were at home and once again managed only 7 attempts on goal against their 11; could only manage 43% of the possession against their 57%

It is no surprise we are failing badly.

Here is hoping Webster, 2 Goal Scoring strikers, a creative midfielder and at least one more decent defender are bought in before the January transfer window opens.

Don't give me the" we are building crap" - we are failing badly in a league below last years and are now out of a major cup against a team that just should not be beating us.

Murray - we wait with baited breath.. but shaky nails will be appearing soon!!!!!

Another one that can take a flying one to himself and wring out his knickers. bye1.gif

  9. Apologies for such negativity and hopefully dont get too slaughtered however anyone who supports this shower of shite by giving them your hard earned cash should take a long hard look at themselves. I have not felt this down since we got beat by 9 men **** in 2010 final, so down i decided to give the rest of the season a miss, lone behold we skelped Celtic 4-0 3 days later and i missed this monumental victory due to being so disgusted. Unfortunately i can safely say i will not be giving St Mirren football club anymore money until i see significant improvement and a possible board room re-shuffle / takever. I firmly believe that tonight we have lost the dressing room and most importantly the people who pay their money, the fans. I run a business and am self employed and Saturday is my busiest day i used to sacrafice this and employ someone to work for me to take my son home and away to Saints games however will now be doing the sensible option every Saturday and earning a good wage without spending weekends disgusted and out of pocket for watching that dross. Who else feels this way and how many are we set to lose for the rest of the season ??

Okay dokay. Make sure the turnstile doesn't hit your whiney, torn-faced arse on the way out as you head home to watch your League Cup final DVD that you so enjoyed a mere couple of years ago. Goodbye and fúck off. bye1.gif
