  1. I know, my computer got rebooted because I couldnt get on the internet thinking it could be something to do with firefox (which didnt give me any of this pop up nonsense) so I resorted back to I.E when it restarted and thats where Ive got these bloody things from. Im back on mozilla now but they still come up in internet explorer. This is really annoying, any more ideas lads?

Get the google toolbar if you haven't already - it should help out with your IE browsing. If that's doing no good then I suggest that you get some adware & spyware removal software as you may have some programs added to your system from the net that are giving you these adverts.

  2. Burns............

    Tannahill...........

Jenny Lindsay (saw her at the Edinburgh fringe last year and was top class. Was hoping she was going to do a show again this time, sadly she didn't).........

Hollz (her poetry has been on the site before and is great)........

    BVB (The undisputed limerick master)............

    Honourable mention to McGonagall...........

  3. Quite sick boys!! (considering the sick cnut from Paisley who's just been convicted of raping an 11 month old baby)

Best left alone don't you think??

    Sidney asked a question..........

    I answered it...........

Unless you want to correct me on said sick c'nt's identity dmc..............?

You mean to say there was only ONE creepy f"ker at Crappielow?:lol:

Seriously...I believe you're talking about DongaTon's 'mate', Chris Norris.....................

  5. Aye, like I was gonnae pm gr'n'ks no1 housebreaker my home address. Honest ti f"k one post about antiquated electrical goods and the jungle drums start beating in larkfield...thieving scumbags! :P

  6. Just a question here.........

When Im clicking Send Message in the PM section it just goes very slow....... However when I click on the preview message it works no problemo.....

I have send PMs to several people recently and they will probably vouch that they are getting the messages X 5 or so..... But its not actually loading up to next page as if it has sent them when Im trying to......

Is there a problem ....

As I told you, I'm getting exactly the same thing

  7. Yep TL, you can point and laugh. Like I'd give a fcuk. :P

You on the other hand have to live with being you each day. Not sure how I'd cope with that amount of getting laughed at.

I laugh at myself on a regular basis.............

I just laugh at others even more..............................

  8. Having a chronic bowel evacuation on an x-ray table four weeks ago and having to hobble 400 yards to the toilet with ripped ankle ligaments, keech running down my legs, past the waiting area in the Victoria Infirmary which was populated by around 20 people. Then, having reached the sanctuary of the toilet cubicle and got cleaned up, having to dump my boxers in a bin in full view of the staff nurse. Then, having to hobble all the way back with stains on my jeans and resume position on the x-ray table.

Yep, hard to imagine I'm going to top that one. :(

What's more embarrassing? That happening to you or putting it on here for the dafties to point and laugh at you about it? post-4-1156360060.gif

Indeed though, respect for your honesty.......... post-4-1156360111.gif

  9. Shite no :o

Must try and find the statue- wee homage needed B)

May have passed it pished after a beer fest night.

Most pleased that some chaps get the Audubon reference.

Lehrer is indeed a feckin' genius.

    Currently it's Oedipus Rex

    An absolute classic McB. :D

Another one I like from the aforementioned album is the story of the great Russian mathematician Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky................

Who made me the genius I am today,

The mathematician that others all quote?

Who's the professor that made me that way,

The greatest that ever got chalk on his coat?

    One man deserves the credit,

    One man deserves the blame,

and Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky is his name. Oy!

    Nicolai Ivanovich Lobache...

I am never forget the day I first meet the great Lobachevsky.

In one word he told me secret of success in mathematics: Plagiarize!

    Plagiarize,

Let no one else's work evade your eyes,

Remember why the good Lord made your eyes,

    So don't shade your eyes,

    But plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize...

Only be sure always to call it please, "research".

And ever since I meet this man my life is not the same,

And Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky is his name. Oy!

    Nicolai Ivanovich Lobache...

I am never forget the day I am given first original paper to write. It

was on Analytic and Algebraic Topology of Locally Euclidean Metrization

    of Infinitely Differentiable Riemannian Manifold.

    Bozhe moi!

    This I know from nothing.

But I think of great Lobachevsky and I get idea - haha!

I have a friend in Minsk,

Who has a friend in Pinsk,

    Whose friend in Omsk

    Has friend in Tomsk

    With friend in Akmolinsk.

    His friend in Alexandrovsk

    Has friend in Petropavlovsk,

    Whose friend somehow

    Is solving now

    The problem in Dnepropetrovsk.

And when his work is done -

    Haha! - begins the fun.

    From Dnepropetrovsk

    To Petropavlovsk,

    By way of Iliysk,

    And Novorossiysk,

    To Alexandrovsk to Akmolinsk

    To Tomsk to Omsk

    To Pinsk to Minsk

To me the news will run,

Yes, to me the news will run!

    And then I write

    By morning, night,

    And afternoon,

    And pretty soon

My name in Dnepropetrovsk is cursed,

When he finds out I published first!

And who made me a big success

And brought me wealth and fame?

Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky is his name. Oy!

    Nicolai Ivanovich Lobache...

I am never forget the day my first book is published.

Every chapter I stole from somewhere else.

Index I copy from old Vladivostok telephone directory.

This book, this book was sensational!

Pravda - ah, Pravda - Pravda said:

"Zhil byl korol' kogda-to, Pri njom blokha zhila" ("It stinks").

    But Izvestia! Izvestia said:

"Ya idu kuda sam tzar' peshkom hodil" ("It stinks").

Metro-Goldwyn-Moskva bought the movie rights for six million rubles,

Changing title to 'The Eternal Triangle',

With Brigitte Bardot playing part of hypotenuse.

    And who deserves the credit?

    And who deserves the blame?

Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky is his name.

    Oy!

  10. Poisoning pigeons in the park- Tom Lehrer.

Strangely enough, I was singing that to myself earlier in the day (this afternoon) well before that post was written......

    We've gained notoriety,

    And caused much anxiety,

    In the Audubon Society,

    With our games....

    They call it impiety,

    And lack of propriety,

    And quite a variety,

    Of unpleasant names.....

But it's not against any religion,

    To want to dispose of...

    A pigeon.........................

Lehrer is a fecking genius. Got onto listening to him after hearing the infamous Elements song in science/physics/chemistry class videos back in my school days. Since bought his 'In Concert' album - tremendous stuff. :D

  11. Cheers TL, is there anywhere in the Paisley Centre, think its open today....I refuse to buy anything from wegie scumbag shops - 'cept pies in emergencies. :)

Hmm, don't know for certain but I think there's maybe one or two places in the InShops? Think there was anyway, though I never bought anything from the place last time I saw it, which was ages ago.

  12. The wee fella has managed to acquire an old playstation - one of the grey efforts. Can you still get games for that one and if so where's the best place?

Even better if there's somewhere open today?

You can still get old PS1 games aye, but it's going to be the preowned and used market that you'll be looking at.

You might be able to get some of them in likes of GAME or that...there's also (or at least there was, presume it's still there) a wee shop that's just down Union St from Central Station in Glasgow that I think if memory serves sells the odd used game etc as well...can't remember the name but it sells action figures from movies and that kinda thing like Forbidden Planet do.

If you canny find anything else there's a couple of games of mine he can have gratis though - including FIFA 2001 (has the Buds in it from when we were last in the SPL). :)

  13. There should be a subforum on the e-saints forum called e-commerce or something like that if people have things like routers they want to get rid of or peopel looking to buy old saints shirts etc.

There was talk a fair while ago now (talking a year or so now at least) that we should set up the "Black & White Pages" on the site - a place where fellow buds could recommend good tradesmen, garages etc.

That suggestion of yours could be a part of it hockeying, though in fairness there is already P&B Bay or whatever Div called it on the sister site....
