Sobering thought that for all the bitching about a lack of strikers, actually it's our defence which is struggling.
And you've just noticed this??
-
I like Richard as a person, he's a hell of a nice bloke as anyone who has taken the time to talk to him will testify.
He never had anything but the best intentions for the club and I still remain convinced that fan ownership is the way forward for a club like ours.
Whilst I agree with what Div says, all those that have liked this post are complete ar$e lickers in my opinion.
Another rung up the B+W army ladder maybe

Have we been in their half? Every update on Sky has just talked about Newcastle chances. We've not even had a mention.
Keeping it at 2-0 will do me. Don't want a pasting !! Dig in Saints
-
Newcastle are passing us off the park 2-0 easy and we need to regroup at half time or we could be facing a right doing here
Are you surprised? They are a decent side. We lost 4 goals to QOs,Charlton and Morton .
Cmon Danny lets do a couple of loan deals please !!
-
Its going to be a long season !
How long is it going to take Danny to realise that you build a good team from the back?
-
Had a call saying Beattie may also be playing tonight.
Not from my normal reliable source however may be truth in this.
Heard he pulled out injured
-
Parkin said on Sunday night he had nothing lined up yet - hopefully he will get a decent club, seems a nice big fella.
David Walliams is a nice big fella. I wouldn't want him playing up front for Saints though
-
Would take Parkin over Wardlaw any day in a 'needing backup but got nae money' competition.
However, part of that is driven by the fact Wardlaws wee boy sat behind me all season kicking my chair, wee shite.
Wardlaws wee boy could kick me in the teeth and boot mw in the baws but I would still take his dad over Parkin every day of the week.

Wardlaw, Burke
A bit harsh on Wardlaw .At least he could control the ball and bring others into the game. Parkin had already played in the SPL regularly whereas Wardlaw had to make the step up from lower divisons. He did a decent job imo.
Parkin was a waste of space.

Thought you'd resigned big man?
-
Killie fan over on pie and bovril says they will release Danny Invincible along with Alan Come tomorrow, does anyone think the big striker is worth a punt to the end of the season ?
We have enough strikers who can't score at the club
-
thought of our passing on Saturday was excellent, and mehmet score a corker of a goal, great stadium, but its a white elephant for them, the locals were saying the only time it had a good crowd in was when elton john played there(wonder what position) had a good day out withe Jaybees guys,
Was in the pub before the game that was full of the Jaybees bus party, good little sing song in the beer garden.Thought the barmaid was a bit OTT though telling the guys to take the flags down because of the wedding. There was no way they would have interfeared with the photos etc as she suggested.
Fair do's to the guys for taking them down though without question.

Christ thats a great idea....... Nah I've changed my mind think the flicks sounds like a good idea for them
You're quite right mate, don't get too bladdered though or i sense there will be trouble ahead.
If it helps, I saw Wall E last night and it's great - kids'll love it.Who says buds aren't a helpful bunch!
Did you get the start times for him?
-
Anyone know what 2 wifes and 2 children can do for a couple of hours in Darlington?
Can't you just take them to the game.
-

I live in Darlo (have done since end of `99): -
There is one of those premier sleep inns on the outskirts of the town, with a Brewers fayre type pub thingy attached, should provide reasonably priced accom, food etc, otherwise this town is not well served at all by B n B's.
Be carefull if you google for B n B's as my sister did it earlier in the year when she came down for the wifes 30th. The 3 that google all offered up are bail hostels, residents are all smack heads, rooms stink of p*sh etc.
There is another travel lodge thingy at J59 of the A1 slap bang in between Darlo & Newton Aycliffe - however for those that don't know the area a taxi to the travel lodge at Washington services - £30 squid.
There are a couple of pubs to avoid as this is where the local lads meet up before meeting up with any visitors. A few of the locals do have "issues" with any "foreign" accents - most Scots/Welsh & other "foreign" English accents belong to one of the 15,000 squaddies from catterick garrison just up the road. It's always fun and games in the town centre when one of the regiments is allowed out for the night.
Someone posted about a pub caled The SPORTSMAN?????? - never heard of it, where is it?
Don't get too excited about the stadium, it might have 25,000 seats, but only about 10,000 max allowed in. It's a joke.
Cheers for the info bud,i have stayed at the travel inn near the ground and its okay and handy.
Which pubs would you suggest the saints fans go to?
