  1. we should include this in the £4k per month spending options of the new fan owners. From the £4k can we "subsidise" the prices/entry fee to entice people into leaving nearby pubs in favour of the 1877 club?- a pint for £2.50? can juice 50p? sausage rolls for Shull at £1?[£2.40 for 4 in greggs].......we`d initially make less profit but potentially in longer term generate more turnover with fav prices leading to more profit...........

I've come to the conclusion that senior football is like acting these days. It's much more about the ability of your agent than it is about the ability of the footballer. Kelly gets a move to AFC Wimbledon but a far better full back - Lewis Kidd - moves from QoS to Falkirk.

Perhaps backing up that point Lewis Kids younger brother Blair - capped at Under 16 and 17 level by the International Squad and a lad I know well and rate very highly - hasn't found a club at all yet having been released by Celtic.

On the radio last Saturday I listened to Allan Preston talking about Jai Quitongo, the latest Morton wonder kid. He said he was delighted for Jai because so few clubs were willing to take a chance on him. I know Jai well too. He's been a friend of my son's for 15 years now. He's been at Hearts, Hibs, Hamilton, Motherwell, Aberdeen and Morton IIRC. He's just turned 19 years old. Hes always had talent but his attitude can be suspect. Yet the lad clearly has people in the game who haven't given up pushing him forward to clubs pressing them to take a chance.

Kelly appears to have a very good agent. Anyone know who it is?

think it may be his dad stuart, his brother Liam is at Livvy[on loan from Rangers]but don`t think his dad is agent] and I think we`1ve just signed the youngest brother who is another keeper into the academy

FWIW I liked Kelly going forward, sometimes caught on his heels v a pacey winger and def gets forward more than Irvine.........noticeable too how little Naismith is getting into box of opposition this year

we are playing a different style, hitting the big forward to hold the ball up for those supporting midfielders, chaNGED when Morgan played, ball to feet and running at defenders

Apparently Rae is awaiting the outcome of Quinns ankle scan to assess if we can go ahead with the final deal or have to look for a new central midfield player.

if we needed a player with bite in the middle of the park then there`s a guy at Alloa we should go for. Albeit a little older i`m sure he`d help Kyle Hutton thro a season, and as part time he should be within the budget..............a panic signing? no, a goodwon

Think rocco is in for a lot of criticism this season was really poor yesterday and wasn't impressed with what I seen of him last season either.

played out of position yesterday, not a left midfielder

we looked better when he went into midfield with Mallan. Think he will struggle to keep Hutton out as Hutts was an AR buy.

  5. Just signed my father in law up for the Founder package like myself, he will be member number 720 if the calculator is anything to go by.

Given we were looking for 1000 fans paying £12 per month but like us many will pay £25 per month can SMISA give update on total £££££`s per month being pledged v target?

People looking at the site thinking we wont get another 280@£12 in next 2 weeks may be swayed by "only £XX per month required to hit target argument."

  6. Got his training top yesterday as he got ready to go on, took it home to my 13 yr old girl who worships him. When I handed it to her she smelt it and hugged it like a baby with a blanket. Every home game she went to he spoke to her( we sit beside home dugout) and nothing was any trouble. A rare breed who understands players come and go but the fans are forever. She though, will never forget him. All the best Jim, thanks for the memories

  7. I believe Keith Watson won it,Jack Baird got young YPOTY.

I have a lovely pic of my Grandparents on the mantlepiece.I've often wondered why they were on the mantlepiece.

    Hope this helps.

Are they mounted ? Or just holding hands............

  8. Let's not make an arse of it again.

Hopefully all parties are working hard behind the scenes.

And they will produce proper Saints strips that we can be proud of.

    And most importantly ....

Let's have them out for sale In this coming Spring ( beginning of April )

So the fans get the benefit of wearing them during the warmer months and get true value for money.

    LAST YEAR WAS FARCICAL

    COYS

The most important thing will be the players inside the tops next year
  9. 1-0 Saints

88th minute winner by Jim Goodwin making his farewell appearance

regardless of what end he scores,as both occupied with The Rangers fans, he runs behind the goal, falls to his knees and blesses himself...............a pitch invasion ensues from behind the goal and Sevco fans are banned from all away stadia for the opening 6 games of the new SPL season. The opener is at Porkheid.....................

  10. Game now moved to Sunday and live on BT Sport

With the money we`ll be getting from BT do we need to move people from the Family stand, couldn`t we do a end of season special, buy a ticket for the Morton game at full price and get a ticket for Rangers game at half price?

Boosts the St Mirren support for both games and more money for the club.......and means we don`t "sell out" to Rangers?

  11. Cheesy will always be a legend at St Mirren, maybe not as a "footballer" but his name is amongst the very few at our club who have won a national trophy. He has done which many of us can only dream of, being part of a St Mirren team to win a cup. Whilst never one of his greatest fans I am delighted that a fellow Bud has had the chance to play a part in making club history. There will be some in that team who will already have their winners medals at the back of a drawer never to see the light of day. For cheesy he will have a constant reminder of what he helped the team he has supported as man and boy achieve. Far from being critical of the guy it`s more jealousy I have towards him and what he did. Sure many games he costs us a goal, sometimes 2, but he also,as part of a team won us a national trophy for first time in 25 years. Maybe time to cut the guy some slack?
