Saw the players heading into the dome for training today. Irvine was definitely among them.

Not a rumour but have just read that he has been 'mutually consented' by Falkirk.
Don't know a great deal about him (only that Falkirk have been woeful so far this season). I wonder if Falkirk are going to try and make big changes as per the Mighty Saints under Jack Ross at the same time last year.
Is Austin or any other Falkirk player with a look for Saints?

Baffles me tho. Players know the rules...
-
He did a "Ravenelli" celebration and had a t-shirt that said something like "100 goals" showing under his fitba top

Arabs over on P&B are supremely confident, some having the attitude that the league is in the bag. No idea where it comes from, they've looked exceedingly average anytime I've seen them, even when they've beaten us.

I thought it was standard practice for most clubs? There's companies making big money out of providing player statsThe new owner created the Moneyball method. [emoji38]
This is the ridiculous idea that you can choose a good player and team using computers. [emoji38]
Are managers still risking their reputations on this pish?

Sorry CBA reading back - can anyone tell me why Davis isn't involved today. Thanks.

Agree with McGowan and Carey but thought McMullan was duff. Still do!Had a look at the pen incident, Reilly def knocks it away from the Keeper and the Keeper clears him out. No hand ball that I could see.
As for players from Celic, McGowan, Carey, the wee boy who's at Dundee Utd noo?

"investing in young players is their vision, giving them an opportunity"... Might be interpreted that Mallan has a greater chance of first team football now.Well that's Mallans chance of getting a game gone. They are going to buy better quality players now and he is struggling to get a game the now

I think it could be interpreted and justified either as a red or a yellow. Yet another incident that highlights the subjective nature of the rules. The rulebook needs rewritten.
-
Nothing too controversial, but I thought it was pretty obvious why Dunfermline finished the match on 5 bookings...

City, Chelsea, Cardiff, Ayr, Raith. Just short of 100 quid back from a tenner. Come on!!
-
The executive coach from St Mirren Park perhaps?
-
No thanks, there's a reason Shankland is now playing league 1 football with Ayr and I don't think it's because he is the quality we need to push for the title
-
Best of luck to Danny. Hope he is treated better at Clyde than he was at the buds.
-
Dunterlie for me, another big cup match
ETA, I wonder if the Raith fans will be shelling out 22 bucks for the privilege of watching the mighty Dumbarton!
-
Their centre forward was standing in an offside position too. "Interfering with play" is just yet another entirely subjective measure to cover incompetent officiating.

Rumour has it sometime in the next eighteen days.
Helpful as ever -
Any rumours on when tickets go on sale?

Man Utd - 1, M*rt*n, Raith, Stirling @ 10/1

Are they not allowed to forfeit home advantage then and play it at SMP?
Just guessing, but think the rule is that you can't reverse a fixture i.e. can't make it St Mirren Vs Lothian but don't see why Lothian couldn't play a home game at St Mirren Park. Would make sense. I'm sure we would let them use the facilities for free too. An away game for Saints, at home anyone??? -
Wee Gav Reilly was tremendous again. Motm again for me.
-
Still stuck in traffic at the Erskine Bridge. Why the hell do they need to do works on a Saturday afternoon?

Don't understand the "we played poorly in the second half" chat going on. I don't think it's fair to assume we are going to run over QotS for 90 mins and beat them 6 or 7 nil. They're a more than decent team. At 3-0 down they readjusted and were practically playing 4 up top, throwing everything at us. Saints then readjusted their style of play to cope very well with (almost) all of their efforts. Very happy to see both an excellent attacking and defensive performance from the whole team.

If its the flu that's been doing the rounds in Paisley, Reilly may be out a few weeks
