Gus had a 1 year rolling contract
-
Herald says we might be without McGinn tomorrow, major blow if that's accurate
-
If he actually thinks we can still sign players on loan even after the window has closed, he's even more clueless than I thought he was
-
McGinn left us before Naismith had even made a start for us.
I find it hard to believe he didn't at least look like a contender with Vanzy for the right back position at that time.
David Barron was still at the club as well

We finally sign a player we badly needed and people start to have a go at him suddenly he's the jakey with the drugs problem!
No he's a player who has had injury problems fact! But if he had a not had these where would he be now?
I find it hard to believe he passed a medical and if any proof of narcotics were in his blood stream we still signed him meaning insurance was not possible for club or player! Really?
You might not rate him as a player but to tarnish him as drug taking alcoholic is abit out of order!
If I am wrong and he turns out to be Glasgows version of Pablo escobar im truly sorry! and shame on player club medical advisor and anyone else involved in his transfer as standard medical consists of blood test! BUT AT LEAST I GAVE HIM A CHANCE TRY IT OR SHUT UP!!!!@
Whoosh!

Looks like threes a "Newton clause" in the deal http://www.echo-news.co.uk/sport/11407633.Southend_United_set_to_miss_out_on_signing_Manchester_City_defender_Adam_Drury_on_loan/
SOUTHEND United have missed out on a loan swoop for Manchester City defender Adam Drury.
Shrimpers boss Phil Brown had been keen to bring the youngster in on loan to provide cover and competition in the full-back positions.
But Drury has opted against making the switch and is now expected to join St.Mirren.
Adam feels playing in the Scottish Premier League will give him more exposure than playing in League Two, confirmed Brown.
However, Manchester City also wanted certain assurances about him playing and I wasnt prepared to give them that. I said I would give him a chance and that if he played well he would stay in the side, just like I do with all the loan players we bring in. Im not going to say anyone is definitely going to play because it doesnt work like that and I also dont think it would be fair on the players we already have at the club.

Stolen from the official forum
I passed on the comments above to our CEO Brian Caldwell who asked me to post the following response:
We are aware of some brightness issues with the LED Screen as well as some problems reading text last night and are looking into these.
When we got feedback we were able to adjust the brightness on the Scoreboard screen but not the actual adverts. The majority of the adverts used last night were temporary ones due to time constraints and will be changed for the next match which applies to the text size too.
We believe that the fact that the game wasnt during the day didnt help the brightness issue. However, we will work together with the scoreboard manufacturers as well as our advertisers to improve the issues raised.

What was he sent off for anyway? I thought it was for a second yellow for back chat, but my next door neighbour - Motherwell supporter - was sitting behind the dug out area in the main stand and he said that while they were waiting for the free kick to be taken Goodwin elbowed the back of John Sutton's head and it was the stand side Assistant ref who saw it.
They guy is definitely a liability though. He's an Assistant Manager now, one of the most experienced players in the team, and he's done something stupid when on a yellow card. If he can't sort out his head he shouldn't be on the park.
Would've been a straight red for that no?

Loaded with the cold lads, probably be worse tomorrow so I'm gonna bail

Probably in the minority on this one but I thought the yellow kit looked quite decent tbh

Someone should probably tell Tommy that we're playing Albion Rovers & not Alloa next Tuesday.. Don't want him turning up at the wrong place!
-
It's been round to me twice already! Declined the first one, decided to come out of "retirement" when I got invited again tho.
What's the best position for a horribly unfit, not kicked a ball for a year guy to stand around in?
-
Correct and plenty Confrence players have stepped up and scored goals in League's 2 &1 in England. WIll be cover for Thommo I would expect rather than a first choice.
Would it be the worst thing if Thommo ends up being cover for him?

Daily Express say we've turned down a 100k bid from Sheffield United

Severe optimism here but Notts County wear very thin black and white stripes and have kits manufactured by JD as well.
Do they wear kits with St. Mirren badges on them too?
