Always enjoy Cairter's Corners entertaining musings on St Mirren. Liked the ramblings of the West coast media bit although his suggestion that Jonathan Sutherland is an Aberdeen fan is a bit wide of the mark. He is a Shetland boy and his allegiance is with them. His diddy team was Dundee United when he was a lad.

I'm flying down to Aberdeen on Friday and travelling on to Dundee. Booked into the express by holiday inn. I'll see you there. Was planning to head down on the friday night ferry to Aberdeen, arriving on saturday morning - will have to think about Plan B.........will have to fly down on the friday instead I guess.
Never been at Tannadice so was looking forward to it.

Was flying down for this game but hadn't booked anything thankfully. Might fly to Aberdeen and travel down but it looks like a night in Dundee whatever. Probably visit Paisley on the Saturday and catch up with my lunatic cousin[emoji205]

No need to apologise for going mental on the bus. [emoji3] Honestly though in all the years I've followed the Buddies that was up there. Not a great day fitba' wise but a great day none the less. There were no trains back from Aberdeen today and I had two hours on a connecting bus to Dundee with no wifi to fill......sorry!

Should add that the remaining Shetland Saints are still not home and will be bouncing along on the North sea tonight.

It was a hard shift for us yesterday, playing a team well above our current level and the only team in Scotland who pressure Cellic for the league. Stupid mistakes cost us and that is the difference at the top level

Time for a half then we're on our wayMind it's a half hour walk to the ground -
Good wee sing song in the spoons on Union street.Atmosphere building up nicely.

Where are you sitting?Weather fine in Aberdeen. Had a very enjoyable night in the Granite city. No sign of anti - St Mirren/west coast. Nutters. Everyone very hospitable.
Now in spoons Union St enjoying eggs Benedict and coffee.
Can't wait. COYS

Meeting a couple of boys off the Choo Choo at 09:30 and heading for breakfast. See you there Malky.[emoji501]There are six of us travelling up Friday and coming back Sunday. A spoons breakfast sounds like a pre-match plan. This should be great game. I want to win it but I also want to enjoy it. I will wholeheartedly go in there signing "we're Gonna win the cup" and I'm dreaming of Hampden but if the unthinkable happens I'll settle for coming back singing "We're Gonnae win the league". Feck we're dreaming of Doubles now. We've come a great way since January last year when we we're favourites to go down. What a turn around. How about we just Trust in Jack and see where he takes us.
What a great time to be a bud. What a match in prospect. Let's all just enjoy the day and the journey.
See you in Spoons Danny Boy.

Think the Weather spoons on Union street should be open early doors so we'll probably be in there.[emoji485]
A fair few of us with the same idea, we're there Friday to Sunday

10 of us coming over on the ferry for the game so I hope the weather is ok. Leaving on Friday at 5pm and into Aberdeen for 7am. Hope we can get a few beers at that time of day. Straight back on the boat for me but the young team are going to make a night of it in the city. C'MON ye Saints.[emoji469][emoji469]

A black and White Xmas to all buddies everywhere but especially to the fans from Paisley who back our team. It inspires the team and gives this buddie a motivation to get to the games. C'mon ye Saints.

Was going to book flights for this one but the early kick off means I can get the ferry down on the Friday night and catch the 5 o'clock sailing after the game.[emoji5]

What a weekend. The two best games this season have been against inverness, The four goals in fifteen minutes at the 2021 had me screaming and shouting and despite freezing my bollocks off and wondering what the feck I was doing there in the first half, the second half action on Saturday had me up off my seat and dancing like a numpty.
The team played their part. I thought big Sammy was awesome but the booking incident was stupid. Not sure what he was thinking about and Cammy Smith had a similar rush of blood to the head when he got booked in the first half. We looked like a different team in the second half and credit to McShane for his penalty. Great strike. As for Gavin’s goal that was just sublime and the fans reactions says it all.
It was great to see Jack acknowledge the vocal support of the fans during his interview. I do like a wee sing song but I don’t generally sit in the singing section so I am not praising them from within but can I just say those guys were awesome. Whilst you can’t always hear them in the video they sang their hearts out for the full 90 minutes. I think they must have went through their whole repertoire because the playlist was quite extensive even if “We’re on our Way” was sung with the greatest fervour. The fair number of fans who braved the elements to go bare chested and wave their tops in “the Tops off for St Mirren” chant went way above and beyond the call of duty. I wasn’t even for unzipping my jacket never mind doing the full Monty. It was fecking freezing.
The horrible weather might have caused a little bit more singing and dancing than usual as it was vital to stay warm but I think everyone, even the most sedate and boring fans were up off their seats and bouncing about when Gavin scored the second and secured the points.
Well done Gavin for joining in our celebrations too. I think I enjoyed that goal more than any this season but maybe that was just because excessive movement/celebration was necessary to avoid freezing to death.
Glad Jack acknowledged the fans in his interview and even offered his support regarding the “ongoing situation” claiming him and the players appreciated their efforts.
On the subject of fans a Big thankyou to the Caley fans who made us welcome and gave up a lot of space in their social club to accommodate a healthy intake of noisy saints fans and the seats on your bus to and from the ground were appreciated.
Had a cracking night in Inverness and Danibongo, I hope the camel syphilis never ruined your evening.
Any thoughts on going to Egypt or the zoo are firmly on hold pending further investigation. Great summary Malky[emoji106] -

Great day out yesterday. The support was amazing and the team responded with a great victory. Good to catch up with some other far travelled buddies from Orkney and North Berwick. Still in Inverness going for a couple of beers before flying back to Shetland this afternoon. Also had a bit of money on a St Mirren, Morton and a draw between Hearts/Ross County so £300 to the good. Happy days[emoji3]

Good Luck, I’m 90 miles west of Shetland on an FPSO and it’s pretty shitty today, our forecast is a bit better tomorrow.
Hope you are going from Sumburgh and not Scatsta [emoji33]
Flying from Sumburgh so fingers crossed. Scatsta is only 4 miles from my house and flights have been going to schedule this morning. Might be a bit tougher out in the Atlantic where you are[emoji305] -
Flying down tomorrow if the weather allows and hopefully meeting up with North Isles Saint for the game. Was hoping we would be at the top of the league before we kicked off but a wee victory will keep us up there. 1-2 for Paisleys finest.[emoji469]

About time we won and delighted for the players and management team who carry the burden for everything on their shoulders. The fans are rightly frustrated so this is a great night for us. Got to start reeling in the teams above us and Dumbarton took a hit tonight losing to Bonnyrigg Rose so they're the first target. I'm a great believer in bringing young lads into the first team and I'm impressed with how they're doing and with a good follow up to tonights result we will get out of this mess.
-
Thought Formartine might be better than Annan today but gubbing them 4-0 was unexpected. Great result and an away day at Partick Thistle and I hope they do well.
-
Old firm game next weekend so most Celtic and Rangers players wont want to risk injury playing for their country, sadly.

Got a flight down to Aberdeen in the morning and a hotel in Dundee booked but hey ho. Any decent places to go in Dundee on a Friday night?
