So Sally calls for the independent panel members to be outed, and lw an behold, the SFA have had to bring in Strathclyde's finest as members ave been threatened, names an addresses published. Jim Spence quoted as saying one member has received advice from Special Branch relating to suspect packages.
And they wonder why we don't want them in our league?

Sally greetin on the radio........Never heard him greetin when SDM spent our money on his wages.
Not heard any of Sally's comments today yet but to be fair his interview on Sat was very good. He is the only person associated with the club who has publically admitted that they "are in the wrong".

Ok, take that back, just read a transcript of his comments today. The guy is a rocket. On Saturday all he asked was that they were treated fairly, and they have been. Now he's greeting and inferring that the SFA have some kind of agenda (but doesn't have the ball to say that outright). Exit stage left Sally.

Couldn't believe my ears half an hour ago when Gordon Daziel, on Clyde1, said that Rangers HAVE to be in the SPL "otherwise clubs like St Mirren would go to the wall". The guy is a moron of the highest order.

Just clicked the link Drew, no luck. It appears they are in complete and utter melt down mode.
Just been checking out the Beeb journalists on twitter. This transfer ban has huge implications for them. It will put a complete halt to the SPL's intention to transfer their share to a Newco as the ban would have to transfer with the share. To avoid this ban any Newco would have to apply as a complete and utter new entity.
Of course I wouldn't be surprised if the ban disappears on appeal.

The SFA have tonight fined Rangers £160k.... And wait for it...... Banned them from signing any players for 12 months.
That'll cause them a few problems when all their high earners walk away in 6 weeks by invoking their recently agreed get-out clauses.

My question to you, rather than your insults to me is Should matchday bar revenue go to the club (SMFC) who's event it is, or the Cic who are obviously piggybacking within the stadium the event takes place in???

I would suggest that your own insecurity might be the source of that interpretation. I'll reitterate what I said yesterday, you have no desire to become aware of the facts and as such ignore any statements that don't suit your entrenched position. Whether intentional or not you have a clear lack of objectivity. Debate is impossible without some sense of awareness.

Interesting post.
I read the recent letter sent out to SMISA members and it is disappointing that they feel the way they do for whatever reason. Hopefully themselves and 10000hrs can sort out whatever differences exist. But, what I would say, is I thought it slightly ironic that SMISA's concerns were largely over 10000hrs (lack of) communications. Have to say I don't really know what SMISA actually do or who they represent. I've always thought of them as a bit of a "closed shop". Maybe I'm way off the mark, but I'd say that is down to a lack of communication. I wouldn't be so sure that the majority of fans away from this forum even know SMISA exist. I don't want to be overly critical of the group but think it is worth making them aware of how it looks IMO from the outside, we all have areas whether improvements can be made and grouping together can only give a stronger talent pool. I would also like to say that I don't doubt they do some good work.
Anyway, like I said, hopefully both these groups can reconcile any differences to give our club a stable future.

You've openly refused all opportunities to become informed. You are not interested in the facts, therefore, it would be extremely nye on impossible to "counter" your arguement or debate the subject properly.
You have a platform to inform us of the dangers of the CIC, which you are clearly against, yet candy floss has more substance than yourself.

the last of Somner's credibility has now evaporated. I doubt he has managed to dissuade even one person from supporting 10000hours, despite having spent many months trying.
Gotta feel for the poor guy, I'm sure it's all well intentioned.

Potential (or even perceived) confilct of interest relating to Withey. He was r*ngers company secretary at the time. Whether or not this was a "side project" or his day job there should have been full disclosure of any potential confilcts. From the board's statment today, they claim there was no disclosure.
Giving confidential, commencially sensitive information to your direct competition is not normally seen as a wise move in business.

I don't see how this has a negative impact on "the club". As far as I can see the club's strong stance will be applauded by football fans around the country.

Well played Stewart Gilmour not in rejecting the bid but in outing a possible conflict. I reckon this was a calculated move. As far as I'm concerned Ken is out of the running.

The SPL rules on such situations are very simple.
"Club ceasing to play and be a member of the League
H5: If any Club in the League ceases to operate or to be member of the League for any reason, its playing record in the League may be expunged and the number of relegation places from the League shall be reduced accordingly." [Emphasis added]
Of course, the SPL Articles of Association do allow changes to be made though......

The political interference by both SNP and Labour today is rediculous. Listening to Salmond slevering on about HMRC making a special case for r*ngers is outrageous. He may as well just say that he condones tax evasion.

I also wouldn't be surprised if one or two high level Goernment agencies (in addition to HMRC) want to look at the transactions of r*ngers over the last 9 months.
Not only is it not over, but I don't think it's really started yet.......

I see you're still going into that R*ngers Tax Case website. I feel going into a Thread about R*ngers on this Website is dirty enough. Once they close, you might want to come along to St. Mirren Park and watch a football team that try to conduct themselves in the correct manner both on and off the Football pitch...
The r*ngers situation is going to shape Scottish football for decades to come and those involved at r*ngers can now do very little to influence the outcome. However, OUR club is VERY likely to play a significant part in how things turn out (along with the other 10 SPL members). For that reason it is good to know the facts in order to come to an educated conclusion. I have said previously, our club MUST not take the easy decision (the one that the media are already pushing) and parachute a New r*ngers into the SPL. If they do, they won't get any more of my money.
There's more to the football business than just turning up on matchday.

FFS Gordon Daziel really doesn't like St Mirren (or sees an opportunity to exhert pressure). He's more obsessed with what financial problems our club MAY encounter years down the road, rather than accepting that his removed rangers are quite rightly Donald ducked.
