  1. I'm not getting the kit this year as I've stated, but how hard is it for someone at St.Mirren to contact one of the useless twats in charge at JD and get a date set in stone. Fans here have been treated like muck, wheres Tony Fitz through all this, his big thing is getting fans on board any getting bums on seats. Why would anyone bother when all they will end up getting is regular kicks to the stones and treated like a clown.

0 Like this I know for an absolute fact that both Tony Fitzpatrick and Campbell Kennedy have both been in contact with JD various times this week and previous weeks.............the problem is that JD don't have a date set in stone for them receiving the kits never mind distributing them which is causing the knock on effect.

A shite set of circumstances for certain but that is the situation, or was, yesterday.

You might know this, but at the very least the average fan at least deserves to know this.

The St Mirren performance is every bit as bad as the JD performance. Piss poor.

Time the club grow a set.

Another pathetic statement that doesn't even attempt to explain delay, offer an apology, criticise JD or acknowledge that the situation is unacceptable. Just more of the same, meh.

If the club genuinely can't get any sense out of JD, they are being walked all over. And quite frankly they deserve it if they don't have the bottle to do anything about it.

If I have contributed £XX to help the club create a bar on the premise I have joined a private members bar I am not too sure I am going to be happy to have that taken away from me and replaced with 15% off a packet of salt and shake on the off chance I can access the very bar I paid for. I am sure there are some legal issues to be overcome on that point alone.

    *Hypothetically*

And unhappy you should be. Unhappy that you bought into a scheme that was never going to be successful.

If it has to change because it doesn't make money then tough, you need to deal with that. Think of it as being similar to creditors accepting a CVA when a company is on the brink...

It might not be fair, but it would, without doubt, be for the greater good. Life isn't fair.

  4. An entry fee of any more than £1 is going to be completely counter productive. I suspect free entry would ultimately generate more cash.

What's so difficult about first come first served?

If the we/club (in the widest sense) can't find a solution to finance a measly £35k (?) fit out without subscriptions then the game is already over.

  5. It's not 'Smith & Jones' they're still bust. The current owners, like the last one, simply haven't changed the signage. Obviously too expensive or not worth bothering about...

Which doesn't bode well for it.

  6. Bella Roma has closed. Reopening on Friday as Rebecca's Restaurant.

    Who's Rebecca?

New owner or just a name change? Rather a quick turnover for a new operator to be opening.

Or more to the point, what's Rebecca's? Guessing it isn't going to be an Italian :/

  7. Closed on Sunday night. Another Paisley pub bites the dust. Dear council, WTF is going on?

When all else fails, blame the council. Seriously.

Indeed. Hardly the council's fault that what was a good pub became horribly run down.
