Trying to keep this as neutral as possible and not letting emotion cloud judgement but what does everyone believe we still need at this point in order to go into the new season with a bit more confidence than we currently have?

If Stubbs swallows down his pride and accepts he was being hasty in his appraisal and that Gary McKenzie (once fit again) and Adam Eckersley have roles to play in this side, Magennis comes back soon and he gets Cammy Smith back playing behind the front man where he belongs rather than out wide where he's completely wasted and clearly not happy, I reckon we could get away with just bringing in a first choice centre forward, winger and another right back and the damage to the squad might not be as catastrophic as it seems just now.

McKenzie and Eckersley are both the wrong side of 30 and neither are the fastest but both being involved would certainly improve the squad in its current state by being involved again in my opinion.

Calm heads. Stop the ‘knicker-wetting’ and let the guy do his job.

In what way is it designed for away supports?

When we give up part of our home stand the rest of the stand have only one proper food outlet.  That's half the facilities for circa 3/4 of the people in the stand. The providers augment this with temporary carts.

The West has segregation under the stand. No other stand does.

Utter bollocks. First off I've never hidden from anything in my life. I post under my real name, the club has my address, email and phone number. One fanny even posted my picture on this thread, a picture that I can only assume was lifted from my sons Facebook account. I've never claimed it was all about SMFC, not once. I rejoined SMiSA because I believe in Fan Ownership and I believe in the importance of football clubs getting back involved in their local communities. I made it very clear it was all about the community element for me and that if the community involvement wasn't developed I'd not be long in resigning. I even offered SMISA my assistance. I've been 100% true to my word. And I have never taken a penny from the club - or indeed from representatives of the club when I've met them. I've even picked up the bar bill.

Now if only others would wake up to what you've said. You get from the community what you put in. You are 100% right and that's why the football fans leave the town in their droves. The Community Benefit Society is an utter shambles, and they've left themselves wide open to action from the FCA with this stupid breach of the asset lock. And the sad part is people like you still defend them despite the damage they are doing.

    Dear Mr Dickson,

Have you got a social media platform which is open for all to see?

    Kind regards,

    Fanny.

Seems rather co-incidental. A coward hiding behind an alias, with a handful of posts does a bit of online stalking and digs out a picture and within minutes someone "just happens" to anonymously phone my son to make a number of threats. It's the third time it's happened over a number of years. The previous two incidents were reported to the police and this time round has also been reported. And funnily enough in each one of these "incidents" the coward has chosen to threaten one of my sons rather than have a go at me.

It's all a big conspiracy Mr Dickson. If you think I'm the one who contacted your son (I'm sure you wouldn't make that story up....) you're wrong. Again!

I should have listened to my best mate. He was right. St Mirren fans are too stupid for fan ownership. His case will certainly be proved when the vote goes the likes of Hendo's way. Utter, utter madness.

That's quite a ridiculous generalisation for your 'best mate' to make....

I personally don,t have an issue with fans overenthusiastically celebrating a goal , but I do have a concern if their behaviour inpacts on the cost of policing home games , and consequently impacts on the playing budget , so I think a " yellow card " type warning might be a sensible compromise in this incidence

Fan celebrates a goal, police go OTT, no fault of the fan and we want to start warning supporters because the police that day were incompetent?

In these instances where fans are  just being over enthusiastic , not aggressive , but just happy and letting their  emotions overrule their brain a yellow card should be issued along with a letter explaining the potential consequences of that type of behaviour , a second yellow card maybe resulting in a short ban . I think here has been a massive over reaction to the behaviour after the cup final , and as often happens in these instances , a genuine fan is made an example of , lots of ways this could have been dealt with sensibly , and this wasn,t one of them

Why should a 'yellow card' be issued???? The guy celebrated a late goal against the scum, did nothing wrong.

No he didn't go over the wall.
