  1. Fair enough to question where the goals are going to come from. I would write off the Celtic game, park the bus and keep the score down. The others, I'm less sure of. To me, these could go either way. We got an unexpected win v Aberdeen and perhaps should have beaten Hamilton and drawn against RC. Our season would look very different had we done so. I guess there are fine margins in this league, particulatly this season.

I agree with what you’re saying, but if it wasn’t for the bad luck we wouldn’t have any.
I still think/hope our strikers find the net soon as I said before it’ll be a massive confidence booster.
I must admit, I don’t like reading some of the comments regarding Obika and Junior.
I’d bet that if either were playing for the OF then they’d be off the mark by now, purely due to the service they’d get.
  2. We are 3 points off 6th place and 2 points from bottom place after 7 games. Our goals against column has improved on last year. Our goal difference is better than teams around us. OK.. We need to score a few more goals. I am optimistic.

One home game in the remaining four of the first quarter which is against St Johnstone.
Motherwell, Kilmarnock and also Celtic away, I fear our goal difference won’t be looking so healthy after those four games. I believe we can take something from both St Johnstone and Kilmarnock but Motherwell and Celtic are capable of hurting us. Where will our goals come from I’ve no idea.
  3. There may well be.
However, his racism, his refusal to accept climate change, his blatant lying, his bellicose  demeanour and all the rest, shouldn't just be ignored because he's managed a few accomplishments.
If the majority of America want someone, who behaves like a petulant five year old,in charge of their country, then they're welcome to him.
What worries me is his strengthening and unwelcome influence on our state of affairs, due the scheming tory cunts currently ruining our country.

If you’re referring to Brexit then I’d have to disagree. They (Tories, Labour, Lib Dem’s et al) have had over three years to get it sorted. That’s not a sole responsibility of BJ.
If the parties honoured the wishes of the 17.4 million instead of stalling at every opportunity then we’d probably be out the EU by now with a deal.
  4. I'd say that, in general, the list WAS the accomplishment.
There are few examples of bad grammar, spelling mistakes, poor literacy or sheer illogicality - which is a huge step up from the shite he tweets.

    Does that suffice?  [emoji4]

That wasn’t the question. Taking away the grammatical errors etc, could you tell me if anything his administration have taken credit for is beneficial to the American people?
I guess there are individuals that will never give him any credit regardless of what he’s achieved just because they don’t like him as a person.
  5. Are you referring to my post or the list you posted?

The list I posted from the US Government website.
I know there are a few polices that people don’t agree with, the border wall for example but that was one of his pledges during his election campaign. I believe it was also one of Obama’s but he didn’t go through with it.
As for the Iranian nuclear deal that he pulled out of. I don’t know enough on that one but if as is widely claimed that Iran would have military grade weapon capabilities within a couple of years then I wouldn’t take that risk.
I believe that with Iran and North Korea Trump has made threats of military strikes to bring them to the negotiating table. I don’t believe he actually wants a war with them.
  6. So you're taking stuff that Trump has claimed and believing it. You are aware that he lives in a fantasy land, aren't you? Job creation in the US has slowed under Trump. He is also taking credit for jobs that were announced in 2015 (Commercial Metals and Charter Communications) but weren't in place until after he was elected, jobs that were announced but never created, jobs that were created after his election but before he took office ...

That's just for starters. I'm not even going to start on the other things. You've got Google, use it.

    So, that’s all lies then?

  7. Really? Starting trade wars, pulling out of Iran nuclear deal and therefore putting US interests in the region under threat, threatening war, etc ...

How exactly has he done very well for America?

    * Signed the biggest package of tax cuts and reforms in history. After tax cuts, over $300 billion poured back in to the U.S. in the first quarter alone.

    * Withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Deal.
    * Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
    * Protecting Americans from terrorists with the Travel Ban, upheld by Supreme Court.
    * Issued Executive Order to keep open Guantanamo Bay.
    * Concluded a historic U.S.-Mexico Trade Deal to replace NAFTA. And negotiations with Canada are underway as we speak.
    * Reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
    * Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security.
    * Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.
    * Net exports are on track to increase by $59 billion this year.
    * Improved vetting and screening for refugees, and switched focus to overseas resettlement.
    * Trump administration have begun BUILDING THE WALL. Republicans want STRONG BORDERS and NO CRIME. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS which equals MASSIVE CRIME.

I’d say that’s not too bad.

Above stats are from the US government site.

  8. Boris has just watched Trump get away with this for the last couple of years and is attempting the same thing.
He will either get his Brexit or Brexit will be revoked under a caretaker PM and then he can go to the country at the next GE with grievance politics knowing he'll probably be PM again with a clear majority and Brexit will be behind him.
I reckon he knows exactly what he's doing. All he needs is to genuinely not give a f**k about what people who oppose him think of him.
A VONC is the only way to get rid of him and save Brexit but I think he's going to win the longer game.

Love him or loathe him, Trump has done very well for America since he was elected, no one can honestly say he hasn’t. His success has seen his ratings rise in the polls which I believe will see him win the next election.
Would you (not meaning you personally) rather see a British PM have the same success but one that doesn’t give a feck about what people say about him, or someone that’ll tell the electorate what they want to hear to get into number 10, and then backtrack on the promises made? I know which I’d prefer. I don’t know enough about BJ to say if he can do the same for Britain as Trump has for the US.
  9. Slightly off topic, but. Did anyone else ever have one of the old metal roller skates (Woolies and Logan’s on Foxbar Road were I believe the purveyors of said antiques) and use an old Christmas annual as a seat and tear down the nearest pavement on a hill. Hollows crescent was like Brands Hatch during school holidays. Them were the days.

  10. The last thing ardent Brexiteer Corbyn wants to do is kill Brexit stone dead. He can't even bring himself to take a stance instead he wants to "stay neutral " until after a GE. He's a fekin lunatic as bad as Boris.

Watched Boris in a couple of interviews, he doesn’t really come across as a confident, knowledgeable man. He’s obviously a clever individual but if he had the skills in front of camera as Farage does, I don’t believe he’d be in the pickle he’s in.
If he joins forces with Farage at the GE, then I believe they’ll sweep the rest aside.
  11. As a huge chunk of the alleged £4m will be bound up in his daftly price-inflated Islington home, I think you can safely assume he is NOT part of the 1% to be targeted.
    But you probably knew that...

Correct chap. I wasn’t suggesting he had £4 million in an offshore account, but his net worth including property value etc has been estimated at £4 million, meaning he’s far removed from the 99%.
  12. We're constantly being told that the UK is the 5th largest economy in the world but then on the other hand we've been undergoing austerity measures and all it's consequences for the last 10 or so years. Jeremy Corbyn got it right in his speech yesterday, when it comes to economic policy the only question that matters is does it benefit the 1% or the 99%?

I’m assuming JC is in the 1% bracket as it’s alleged he has a net worth £4 million.
  13. Hope she picks something up soon buddie.

Ideally there will be staff required at other companies (shops, call centres, airline crew and resorts) due to them picking up the capacity from Thomas Cook's huge market share.

    Cheers chap, much appreciated. [emoji1303]
  14. Reading the story in more detail it seems ironic that it was Lloyds & RBS who pulled the plug the rescue package.

Is that the same banking institutions that were bailed out by the then government using public funds around ten years ago?
  15. Shame, seemingly 9,000 employees in the UK alone.
There were some reports up here that the staff in the shop were getting abuse over the weekend.
I realise emotions are high for some people who have booked a holiday but taking it out on shop staff isn't on.

  16. Yup I felt sympathy for Shemima Begum (still do)  who's been brainwashed and suffered tremendously in her short life to date, she's more of a victim than a threat to UK security and I still reckon demonizing her will just make the situation worse, radicalizing another generation of young Muslims - I still think if you say your better than ISIS then it's up to you to behave better than ISIS i.e. show some forgiveness. Government policy, supported by the MSM & their on this issue is a mistake morally & practically.
As for the Royal Family, I'm just an old fashioned class warrior at heart and I guess that trumps my bleeding heart liberalism
Just to make it clear - I'd like to see a Scottish Republic within the EU and I'd far rather have Shemima Begum as a neighbour than any of our Royal Family..

Feck me. At 15 I thought getting the bus from Foxbar to Smith-hill Street was a big adventure, walking to Elderslie baths during the summer holidays was a major expedition.

“Boys, what you want to do on Wednesday, a trip to the Magnum Centre, or a trip to a war zone thousands of miles away?”

The likes of the BBC, ITV, Sky were full of stories regarding ISIS so I don’t believe all that pish about how they didn’t know what they were getting themselves into.
If she was ever allowed back then she should spend her time in prison. Personally, she can stay where she is.
As for the Royals, I don’t believe we need them but I’d rather be having a natter wae Harry and Meghan over the garden fence than any terrorist.
