  1. HHiBSS: Thanks for the explanation. :)

'Y tu Mama Tambien' is a movie made and set in Mexico.

    Kinda road movie.

A couple of over-indulged rich young very macho basturts go on a car trip to nowhere interesting for no real reason at all, and no one wants to stop them and there are no obstacles in their way...

and this older wummin joins in too. So much for the drama and the adventure aspects...

She's no happy and eventually both boys do IT with her. Her big boobs and their wee floppy wee wullies all over the shop - huge production values onscreen... not.

Of course her husband has been playing away which explains why she might be unhappy, oh and yes, as an afterthought, we learn that she was about to die of cancer (and does - offscreen, yawn)... and... och - self-indulgent jobby, that did inconceivably well in London.

I hope you don't endure it as the in-flight movie on your way back!

  2. Aye. Ye'r Right, HHiBSS. Ah huvnae listened...

it's this switchin aff mechanism in mah heid... don't like/don't listen...

Dunno if I ever will now, though. <_<

So probably - I know nothing.

    On the other hand....

I DO look, watch, see, etc...

...and it's bothered me for a few days now with your recent signature.

I know London posers who read Time Out reckon it was 'a cool foreign language movie', BUT..

...honestly... I thought yer latest signature (the movie: Mama tambien) was 'dire'...

That's a four letter word that almost expresses how I reacted to it.

What caused you tae suddenly quote it on yer travels...? :o

  3. Depeche Mode are a band that certainly matured with age.

    I don't agree.

I'm now matured to a very great age, and think Depish Mob are as s***e now as I thought they were decades ago.

I admire optimism, though. Who would have thought they'd made 5 albums never mind any that could be recalled...!

  4. Bill,

The Producers - complete forgot that one. Great line where a nazi obsessive points out 'its a little know fact that - but the frurher was a beautiful dancer':lol:

And he could paint! Aaaah, what a painter. A whole house in one day. Two coats!

  5. Stumbled over this Neil Young reference in my wanders through the www.

Well my heart's in the Highlands wherever I roam

That's where I'll be when I get called home

The wind, it whispers to the buckeyed trees in rhyme

Well my heart's in the Highland,

I can only get there one step at a time.

I'm listening to Neil Young, I gotta turn up the sound

Someone's always yelling turn it down

    Feel like I'm drifting

    Drifting from scene the scene

I'm wondering what in the devil could it all possibly mean?

    It's a Bob Dylan song...

It looks like a HUGE long song, and - having heard a clip - it would seem very LOOONG to listen to.

If you've nothing better to do this dull Sunday.

    It's HERE.

Apparently chosen by Billy Connelly as a tune for his Desert Island.

And before I posted this, not a lot of people knew that. :)

  6. Aye... well...

I did go check out ANATHEMA

and downloaded a couple of tracks from their new album, for a listen.

Burd's got a good voice in the mellow number but the thrashy one...?

Mibbe I'm no the right age for what they call:

    Gloom Metal!

  7. Deinonychus - "Pluto's Ovoid Orbit / Salus Deceived"

    I wondered that, too, Stromtrooper.

    Dienonychus lyrics include:

So empty inside, like a life that ends

A sun that goes down, never shines again

Heart ripped out, stone cold hole left

Sleeping forever, the only choice i have

No more dreams, all faith is lost forever

The pain in my soul? seems so endless

    Waiting for everlasting salvation

    All is gone...

Cheery wee combo doubtless inspired by George Formby's ukelele style :(

I was so depressed after checking that out, I was scared to Google anathema...

    :(:(:(

Talk to SOMEONE, Thorizaar! Please!

  8. although youthful erotic thoughts abt the lovely Faye may be clouding my memory. :o

Or are your youthful thoughts (about Faye Dunaway) not just simply:

    Fadin Away? :lol::lol::lol:

(Aaaah, ye cannae beat the aul puns...)

  9. Sorry, Bill, but I'm an old c**t and About Schmidt was about an old c**t who gave old c**ts like me a bad name. I thought the film was quite boring and he was a boring, self-indulgent old fart.

Now... Paths of Glory, Oh What a Lovely War and a wee old film called Geordie (mibbe I mentioned it on the old GB?) featuring Bill Travers as a wee Jock laddie who grows up to go and throw the hammer at the Olympics. All high in the moist eyes stakes!

And, of course, there's always SPARTACUS!

Bambi was a waste of a potentially succulent stew.
