  1. Our Town's University has the highest population of Ethnic students in Scotland. A couple of years ago I tried to set up a Ska n Reggae night in The Students Union, but the Ents President took cold feet, as he said all the Students want to do is just drink and play Xbox in the bar.

I've told anybody who would listen about my dream/idea (if I won the Lottery) to open up (or run the place if there's any rich Buds out there?)the old What Every Women Wants shop in Smithills St as a music/entertainment venue, called 'The Alternative'.

That place is huge and ideal. Upstairs would be a lounge, chock-a-block with comfy settees, couches and armchairs (a bit like TV's Frazier's brother Niles's apartment). Each night there would be a regular theme e.g. Monday Rock & Blues, Tuesday Electronica, Wednesday Folk or comedy, Thursday Country, Friday Ska, punk & Reggae, Saturday afternoon Jazz, Saturday night Alternative/Indie, Sunday afternoon Dub Lunch, Sunday night Soul, that kinda thing. That way everyone would know which night there favourite stuff was on.

Downstairs on each night, there would be a live band or DJ playing the theme of the night.

Build it and people will come!

    That sounds horrendous

  2. I wonder if Dumbarton fans were seething when they spotted Paul McGinn suited up at our cup final last season.

Paul McGinn behaved himself perfectly after our cup win. Club suited, part of the entourage but left the squad of players that won the tournament to enjoy it.

We didn't see McGinn piggy backing Danny Lennon at the final whistle nor did we see him dancing around the pitch at Hampden with a St.Mirren scarf and champagne all over the place or a Twitter photograph of him drinking champers out the trophy.

Paul McGinn handled the situation exactly how it should've been. Magennis, not so much.

  3. At least he knows how to manage a winning team and have players playing for him.

    Does he?

He's achieved nothing in the game as a manager other than a playoff victory. Sacked from every job he's had bar one - Which he left to manage Derby - who sacked him for being awful.

Careful what you wish for. Billy Davies would be a horrendous appointment.

  4. He simply has to go. He cannot be in charge for the Inverness game. That was an utter disgrace and horrible to watch this evening. My 8 year old brother asked me during the second half "Why don't they pass it along the ground because the kickers up to the big guys isn't very good"

Surely to god if an eight year old boy can notice this... Fanny Lennon could have and at least changed the tactics around?

    Absolutely nobody turned up tonight.

    Naismith & Kelly were horrible,

    McGinn was anonymous.

MaGennis can f**k off back to Aberdeen tomorrow morning and Cheesy was a bombscare.

    Edit;

Additionally. St.J were playing a midfielder at right back tonight as their regular right backs are injured. Surely knowing this (if he even did know this) we should have started a winger to really run at him, take him on and exploit his weakness in that position? Basic tactical knowledge.

  5. based on what? Genuinely interested.

His managerial history and treatment of staff, fans & media of everywhere he's went is deplorable. Have a search for the Preston North End 'Job Done' scenario and you'll have an idea of his arrogance and stupidity.

If anyone ever thought Gus was a difficult person during his time here, Billy Davies is tenfold.
