  1. What about Graham Carey? His contract is up in the summer - although Plymouth have a year option on him - He could replace the delivery and 'something special' Hammill had.

Bit of a long shot but not beyond the realms of possibility. I'm pretty sure his missus is from Paisley/Glasgow area and could possibly entertain a return homeward ?

As i said, a long shot as i'm sure more than a handful of clubs down south would be able to quadruple our wage offer but if ye don't ask, ye don't get.

Defoe's wages will be substantially more than the other 2 I mentioned combined  - are you saying that these 2 are way beyond us too? I think fans would have thought that about Hammill and Ferdinand's wages before they signed for us.

I don't think we will ever be able to compete financially with the ugly sisters - the Edinburgh clubs might be out of our reach too, but not if they are already in deep financially and cannot free up enough space in their squad or if their priorities differ enough that we could have a real chance..

You think we should not try?  :boxing

There is quite obviously no hope in hell Ryan Gauld would be loaned to St.Mirren.

    Absolute dreamland stuff.

  3. If we're looking at players from Ross County then Josh Mullin would be top of my list. Other than Alan Stubbs and his shocking recruitment policy, i've no idea why we never picked him up from Livi in the summer for nothing. Fantastic player that chips in with a fair share of goals and assists and will add much needed width to our team.

I reckon Celtic will have Morgan planned for a team higher in the standings than ourselves if he were to go out on loan. Aberdeen / Hibs being possibilities.

How about Johnny Hayes instead ?

Of course. But again, teams higher up the league will be preferred destinations and a number of teams better than us would take Hayes if he’s available.

    How about Charlie Adam?

Heard Dundee asked the question of his availability..

IF the rumour about Scott Allan is true - I think we can only have 1 on loan from a Premiership Club.

If so, Morgan or Allan - please not the LB Dundee have just sent back..

Lennon was interviewed after the derby about needing/wanting more attacking players in Jan and i reckon Allan might be one on his list.

I'm not 100% convinced on Allan to be truly honest. He's sold himself short everywhere but Hibernian. On his day he's excellent but we don't really need a player that we pray turns up every Saturday. We need players that are guaranteed to fight for the cause.

Think the teachers prefer the pupils hung about the streets drinking cider than actually having a hobbie.

    Very strange indeed.

I wonder if they're rounding up wannabe Green Brigade and Union Bears members and giving them a stern lecture about proper representation too....

Just learned that Johnstone High head teachers have been pulling up kids in W7 for “not representing themselves well” (being in videos I post of games) Would they rather they were out drinking on street corners? They clearly follow me, so if they’d like to justify this?

Just seen this on Twitter... A tad harsh on the young lads no?

One can hope. He's not likely to get many more chances of big games so the prospect of games against the ugly sisters may appeal. The fact ferdinand etc are there could help.

He's the current club captain of Blackpool and signed a two year deal in June this year. He won't be coming to St.Mirren

Would just like to add something not about Sammy. The abuse Paul McGowan got on Saturday when he came on as a sub for Dundee from a former Saints employee for one was disgusting.. Guys is a Saints LEGEND. Man of the match in the 2013 final. I was ashamed to hear what was being shouted. It was so bad I wouldn't even repeat it on here.

I agree. The booing and the abuse of him was poor. Not the way to treat a player that was magnificent for us.

He just strolls around in a huff barely talking to anyone or doing anything. Leader? He’s the wettest St Mirren captain I’ve ever seen.

I think the perfect example of the above is after their second goal McGinn (and everyone else) trudged back to the halfway line to wait on their players getting back into position. Not one word was uttered by McGinn, no questions asked by the captain to his teammates, no rallying cry of 'come on lads'. Nothing at all, he never said ONE word. After a few minutes Anton Ferdinand piped up with some form of encouragement but nobody looked the slightest bit arsed.

That was the moment i knew this team have chucked it for the season. Disgraceful

For me Flynn, I just don't see what he brings to the team, never have. Edwards I disagree with, I don't like cheating but last night he worked his backside off, chased a lot of lost causes, doesn't excuse what he did as to me it appeared that he had beaten his marker.  I would keep Edwards as I think he does put a shift in.

He runs around a lot and 'puts a shift in' but what does Edwards actually do? Anybody know? Because I've yet to see him do a single thing that's positive whilst in a St.Mirren shirt. This shouldn't be a surprise to us either as Thistle fans on P&B warned us he's nothing more than a run around.

    He can do one.

Sorry who are the loan players so many seem desperate to send back to their parent clubs?

    Edwards?

Wouldn't miss Edwards if he never played for us again. Done absolutely nothing other than run around in his games since joining. We need footballers not long distance runners.
