Runnng 15 miles a day with dodgy knees you think so.. He runs with a  mate of mine who does marathons.

Oscar Pistorius managed a run or two a day and he's nae knees... probably better at shooting than Jim too.

I don't think many of us would have a problem with Jack going on to a bigger club and being offered 5 times his salary at St Mirren if he took the job.  Even after all the talk about planning to challenge at the right end of the top division and not just aim to avoid relegation and wanting to leave a legacy at St Mirren.

Why then do I feel angry at Jack Ross today? He has waxed lyrical about his great relationship with our chairman Gordon Scott for as long as he has been St Mirren manager, and how he turned down bigger jobs because he valued the relationship he had with the chairman, board, fans and players. There isn't much sign of him valuing and respecting Gordon Scott or the club going by the way Jack Ross has gone about his business with Sunderland. If Jim Goodwin is telling people last Saturday that he expected Jack to be appointed Sunderland boss (rather than Ipswich boss) why does Goodwin know about Jack having talks with Sunderland two days before it is press speculation and 4 days before the chairman who has a great working relationship with Jack Ross finds out that not only is Jack wanting permission to talk to Sunderland, (he most likely did that a week ago without telling anyone at the club), he and Sunderland have already agreed terms and he is going to be announced the following day as the new manager of Sunderland. Furthermore Gordon Scott has said he still hadn't heard anything from Jack by this stage and only heard via talksport what was happening. I would suggest that when Gordon Scott alludes to "major skulduggery" going on he may well be talking about Jack Ross rather than Sunderland, especially since he thought the story must be nonsense since Jack was "on holiday" and since St Mirren have always been good at granting clubs permission to speak formally to Jack about vacancies.

Absolutely nailed on mate. Brilliant post.

There’s not a manager we could bring in that would be doing anything different than Jack Ross and his agent are doing l, given the same situation. So to say he’s whoring himself out is very harsh to a manager that’s just gotten us promoted.

He cant commit because he hasn’t been offered anything and no manager on the planet will openly admit he doesn’t want to be at a club. Managers move on all the time, have you ever seen an interview where one has said ‘aye, first good offer and I’m away’ yet this fact is true for 99% of managers in this world.

Some of these comments towards our manager are brutal.

He can commit by confirming he's here to see out the remainder of his contract and finish what he has started - or leave a legacy as he has put it previously. It's quite obvious he sees no long term future at St.Mirren due to the multiple jobs he's been interviewed for which totals three now - or four depending on which side of the Dundee story you are on.

He has only completed one full season as a manager thus far in his career, i'd be expecting a bit more loyalty from him rather than jumping at the first chance he gets.

I'd rather he went now than midway through the season when his agent gets a sniff of another club looking at him.

None of this sits well with me and many other saints fans i'm sure. I'd rather this was cut and dry and we move on to another manager as soon as possible. I've no time for managers with one leg out the door.

  5. He’s on his way,

    He’s on his way,

    To another club,

    He’s on his way,

How does he get there? Interviews

When does he get there? He don’t care

All we know is Jack is on his way.

And sooner rather than later please imo. I'm fed up with our manager whoring himself around any boardroom in England that'll listen to him. Time to commit or admit you don't want to be here and we'll thank you for your efforts and wave you goodbye..

Someone needs to explain to me why we are even talking about OF and Embra’ supports in the West Stand next season, when, as a Championship club, we sold enough tickets to keep it Saints-only, and have a large and growing singing section already occupying the seats we are supposedly going to turn over to visitors.

Rational explanation anyone, because I simply don’t understand why it should even be entertained.

I see from Twitter there's been another issue with the guys in the singing section, although not sure what. Saw the supporters liaison officer and a director saying they couldn't reply as the initial post was private.

The amount of obstacles these guys seem to have negotiate on an almost weekly basis considering there has been sod all trouble from them. The only thing I can really think of was the banner at the Morton game and even that seems someone in officialdom getting on their high horse. They have done a great job to improve the atmosphere at the stadium yet someone from up high - be it at the club, in the police or elsewhere - seems desperate to make things as hard as possible for them, perhaps in the hope they'll give up.

I think the young lads now have their megaphone/loudhailer banned due to some ridiculous rule..

I know Jack, James and the team deserve most of the plaudits this season and rightly so but the Northbank lads need some recognition also, especially from the club. Without them i doubt we'd have seen the sort of fight and spirit on the park we see most Saturdays. It's no coincidence that on the park performances were upped as soon as the lads started their W7 section with the drum. The atmosphere they create is terrific.

This is the first time since moving i feel that supporters, directors and the playing staff all have a solid connection and there is a real feel good factor at the club again that was missing for a long, long time. I really hope the club make life a little bit easier for the lads next season and give them free reign to organise W7 how they like - within the laws - as we're at risk of alienating them if they keep getting dug up for nonsense rulings every so often.

Excuse me but my Aunt goes in there before games and she had a top on with the saints badge on it and one of the bar staff came over and told her that no colours were allowed because other customers would complain she even spoke to the woman who owns it on the phone who said that she has that rule in place in her other pub in greenock. My aunt asked the other customers in the pub if they minded her wearing colours and not one said yes so needless to say she drank up and left and will never be back in.

    Again. Garbage.

I regularly wear my scarf and/or other colours in there and I have never had an issue with the current owners or the previous ones or the ones before that.

Also, the Celtic bus that left from there never had any bother with colours either.

That’s not entirely true but I take your point

We should give them it first game (if we go up, Livi seem to be on fire) - but we should make it clear that if they start the bigotry, they don’t get extra seats again. Would be nice for our club to take a stand against their shite. Don’t want their money if they can’t behave like actual human beings

    Good luck with that
