    Well done indeed.

One minor criticism is that when we get ball in decent positions in midfield we've been giving it away too often.

Need to keep it and take pressure off the defence.

Malan free kick to stretch our lead.:whistle

We would need to somehow get a free kick for that to happen.

Hopefully at the right end for the goals in the second half.

We've only had over 3000 Saints fans at two home games this season, both the derby fixtures against Morton.

Last time Hibs visited, second game of the season, there were 2969 buddies in a crowd of 4517. I'd think it unlikely we'll get over2500 in the home end tomorrow night.

I pretty much agree, I think our increased travelling support is more indicative of an increase in season ticket holders going to away games than a sudden upsurge in interest and support from the Paisley community in St Mirren. I'm not as pessimistic as others, I think the total crowd will be about 4K but that really is a side issue compared to the importance of the result and performance on it.

Can see us starting more defensively with storie back in for this one to nullify the likes of John McGinn and co. We might go for the same tactics as the welsh game, keep it tight then unleash Morgan 2nd half.

Only 1973 tickets left in the home end meaning already we are over the 4,000 mark. With hibs filling their end we could be close to a gate of around 7000- sell out if the paying fans come out in force. think Ayr would need to lose on Tue for that to be the case but even if they win the team need all the support they can get. Somerset showed the effect we can have so get yourselves down to Greenhill Rd on Wed!

I'd be amazed if we had sold 4000 I would imagine that there are 1700 tickets left with us leaving the northern part of the West Bank unsold at the moment in case Hibs bring a big support. Would be amazed if the total crowd was above 5000.

    Happy to be proven wrong.

  4. I was at Old Trafford last year when they named the Bobby Carlton stand against Everton. Every seat had a plastic bag on it that we were instructed to raise when Bobby Charlton came out the tunnel.

I meant he was greeted in near silence as nobody could clap while holding up the bag and nobody in the ground could see the name being unveiled.

In my opinion card displays are for the benefit of the TV audience at home rather than the fans that are there to watch and get behind the team.

I'm all for people trying to do something special to encourage the team but I'm not convinced a card display is it.

WHAT?!?! What on earth did he say? He couldn't have picked a worse example to justify his signings if he'd tried

Was Ian Murray on the radio too? Few comments on Twitter suggesting he was saying stuff.

A caller said that the squad was full of either old pros or young kids and Rae came back with something like what about Hutton he was in his prime.

  6. Rae came across as a very bitter man who was clearly annoyed at being called out by some of the fans.

His defence of his signing policy by holding up Kyle Hutton as an example was laughable, as was his statement that he had 4 cup wins, technically true but in the one that mattered when we knew what we had to do we couldn't score a goal in about 60 mins against Edinburgh City and never looked likely too. But that was a win so in his head everything was alright.

Will it be an undisclosed fee or can they not do that anymore under the fan ownership will they have to tell the fans now what the details are of any deals.

Without wanting to get into the ins and outs of the merits of fan ownership, there is absolutely no reason why that should make a difference on whether a fee is disclosed or not.

There are certain things about the business that will still need to be confidential no matter whether it is Gordon Scott the fans or an Argentinian consortium that own the club. Not only that it may be the buying club that want the fee to be undisclosed.

  8. I take the point about Kathryn Joseph, she can come across as a more bitter Tori Amos.

One album I forgot about was Aidan Moffat's Where You're Meant to Be with the accompanying film, an absolute gem.

Unfortunately Pixies Head Carrier wouldn't make my top albums this year.

Keep meaning to get the Deacon Blue album. Like what Ive heard.

From others posts... I got the Honeyblood one. Love Cat Myres on drums. Some standout tracks for sure but as a whole it just wasn't my Earl Grey.

RM Hubbard I have seen live twice and just cannot get into his music... Same with Kathryn Joseph.

Got tickets to see hubby again as part of Celtic connections at the Hug and Pint ..... a Paisley boy.

Minor Victories self-titled album is by far and away the best album I've heard this year. Superb.

They were supporting Placebo earlier this month and were superb too.

Other favourite albums this year include:

    Honeyblood - Babes Never Die

RM Hubbert - Telling the trees

Emma Pollock - In search of Harperfield.

Decent performance against a team with a bigger budget and top of the league. No doubt whatsoever we have improved and with new signings coming in shortly I am fairly optimistic we will be fine.Jings we have some right good players in our squad.I completely fail to understand why the ref didn't give a penalty when the United guy threw Clarkson to the ground and indeed booked him for his efforts. That would have given us a draw which is the least we deserved in what was a spirited performance.

I wasn't at the game but if the ball wasn't in play then he can't give a penalty.

  13. I bought a plaque for my son a few years ago, expected it to be for one season only, indeed if I remember correctly it actually has the season printed on it.

Each new season I'm surprised when it is still there, I was even more surprised that it lasted the Family stand being used by the OF and wasnt vandalised.

Equally I'm pleasantly surprised that after the removal I'm getting the opportunity to pick up the plaque and keep it.

I don't see what the problem is.

  14. I was one of the 392.

We were good for our lead but not comfortable, something obviously happened for Baird to react and TBH Miller was fouling constantly but neither the ref or linesman were pulling him up for it. No excuse for Baird he had to walk and he would maybe benefit from a loan spell away from us to get a bit of confidence and out of the losing habit.

Hippo should have been booked for diving early in the first half but the ref bottled it and that had an effect for the remained of the game until he was eventually booked.

We passed up two or three good chances on the break after half time and on another day we may have scored a second. Overall in adversity it was an ok performance, Mallan looked a lot better, Sutton worked really hard and when not playing full back MaGennis did well again.

But it is a win we need just now.
