  1. Unprecedent demand the statement said - now we are saying that Rangers haven't demanded more tickets,

Fund 1 or 2 new players we said - now we know the figures don't stack up. The only way to make them stack up is to twist them to include income from the 2 and a bit stands we are handing over.

In addition to all that we have now been told that Rangers will also have an allocation of the West Bank.

If funding and segregation is so important why don't the board move ALL season ticket holders to the one stand, not sell any other tickets to saints fans and sell all the remaining seats to Rangers fans? After all why should we deny a Rangers fan the chance to see their team.

All this a few days before we could be dragged right back into a relegation battle.

If we draw Celtic in the cup (or even if we get promoted in the future) will we be looking to be similarly accommodating? After all the same logic applies in those circumstances even more so given that season tickets aren't valid for cup games.

    Wrong decision - probably

    Wrong timing - definitely

Wrong way of doing it - undoubtedly.

  2. Point 4 in SGGs email hits it bang on the head, if we don't lie down and give them everything they want they will misbehave.

What a defeatist attitude and a reward for years of disgraceful behaviour from old firm fans.

That aside this could still be a very important game for us but that does not seem to part of the decision making process by the board.

If anyone believes that the extra money will allow a decent extra player (or two!) to come in then they need their head examined. If this pulls in an additional £30k after VAT and costs then the board will be doing well, that translates to a player on less than £20k basic by the time you take NI, pension costs, bonuses etc into account.

  3. What a joke. South stand holds 1654 according to wikipedia so if it is full of rangers fans at £25 thats £41350 extra money well make. We could still in theory be in with a shot of 4th place yet we give up our family stand to sectarian bigots and let them surround the park and take over home advantage for just over £40k.

Less the VAT on the ticket price, not everyone will be a full price ticket, less extra stewards and police, you quite quickly get to a relatively minimal figure.

Considering how close Livi will be to us should we not win on Saturday the decision and its timing are both flawed not only in a financial sense but also in a footballing one.

  4. Going to the ABC tonight to see Complete Stone Roses. That and a few beers will hopefully wipe a 4-0 bleaching from my mind.

Saw the complete stone roses this time last year at the ABC and they were fantastic, sorry I'm missing it.

  5. Twilight Sad should be good.

Vic Galloway has been playing a lot of them.

Really looking forward to it, although I'm not sure the wife is, but it is our wedding anniversary the next day. So she is either coming or watching me nurse a hangover the next day.

Was surprised to see that it is already sold out tbh.

  6. Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat in Stirling next Saturday. Managed to get a couple of tickets for a tenner all in. Very excited about this one, they are a class act.

Saw them at Oran Mor earlier this year, they were brilliant, gutted to be missing them in Paisley tonight.

My gigs for the rest of the year at the mo are:

    Faithless at the hydro

Wedding Present in Newcastle, possibly Glasgow too

    Twilight Sad at Barrowlands

  7. This is the first paragraph of the email I received.

"I can confirm that JD will not be restocking this item unfortunately. The company policy says that you have 14 days for a full refund and 28 days for an exchange. If you decide to return this item after these times you will not be eligible for a refund/exchange."

    Kind Regards

    Marietta

    JD Customer Care

There are obviously mixed messages coming out of JD which aren't helping anyone's confidence in what will eventually transpire.

I do find it incredible that I am being told that they will not be restocking the kids shirts but as you can see from the above there isn't much room for doubt. Hopefully the person that contacted me after I was asked to do a review of their service has been misinformed.

  8. If your desire and intent was to buy "the kit" (which to me seems unassailable logic) then there must be recourse.

If you pay for a funeral and they supply a hearse, cars, crematorium, speaker, music, drinks, teas etc after....

But no coffin, then you'd feel a wee bit miffed at not being supplied with one of the basics of the service provided.

(Unless you're the deceased. Deceaseds are rarely miffed, I find.)

Their refund policy needs a dent in the goolies.... :)

I agree with the logic totally and don't doubt that if I was to go down and make a scene in the shop that I would get the right outcome but 'legally' they are ordered as separate items and there is nothing that makes them individually unfit for purpose so if everyone acts unreasonably and things got silly legally then I think I'd be pissing in the wind.

My main point is one mentioned earlier the season hasn't even started and I'm being told by customer services that the home shirt won't be restocked by the only supplier.

I really haven't tried to make an issue out of this, I was fully prepared to wait a few weeks for them to get it sorted and it was only them asking me for an online review of their service that prompted the communication with customer services.

  9. I know you probably WANT the kit/shirt for your kid, but legally, of course, I'm sure you know you can just return the other bits and get your money back?

The email also states that it is company policy that a refund is only given with 14 days.

Legally I think under the sale of goods act the shorts and socks individually are fit for purpose and therefore there is nothing wrong with them apart from the lack of a shirt to go with them. So 'legally' I don't think there is any recourse.

  10. That is what the email I have from customer services says.

I have asked them to escalate into a formal complaint now and contacted the club.

I hope it is somone in customer services that doesn't know what they are talking about but the first line of her email states. "I can confirm JD will not be restocking this item unfortunately"

  11. I have been in correspondence with JD customer service after I was asked to rate their service for my order for my sons junior kit.

I have just been told that they will NOT be restocking the junior home shirt. This leaves me with a pair of socks and shorts for a junior kit but no shirt!

Although they have offered me 10% of my next purchase as a gesture of goodwill.
