  1. Was thinking about Lennon's visit to Blackburn earlier in the year and his discussion with Steve Kean and was wondering about the possibility of bringing Nick Blackman back to the SPL on loan. Think he would be a great partner for Thompson. Fast, strong, athletic and good record for goals in the league.

Baffled why Craig Brown had him on the bench or left wing at Aberdeen. Guy could be a great assest for us.

Would be brilliant but I'd assume we have next to no chance of landing him.

  2. id just like to point out i stayed at an expensive hotel two years ago for a night and steven thompson was there. i sat in the bar for a drink and he was already in the bar with friends and family drinking. i then went and had my dinner and came back about 2 hours later and he was still in the bar drinking. he then stayed drinking in the bar with those same people for what must have been in excess of a further 2 hours. is this the type of player we want at our club???

Got proof of this? Doubt it, your just seeking attention, you'll need to try harder ya twat.

  3. Picking up one injury a few months ago is a bit different from being 'injury prone'. Injury prone players don't make 250 career appearances before their 27th birthday.

    Here's his crap goalscoring record:

    04/05 - 27 goals in 1st division (Falkirk)

05/06 - 9 goals in SPL; 3 goals in Championship (Falkirk; Hull)

06/07 - 1 goal in Championship; 5 goals in League 1; 5 goals in League 2 (Hull; Hartlepool; Swansea)

    07/08 - 2 goals in League 1 (Swansea)

    08/09 - 14 goals in League 1 (Bristol Rovers)

    09/10 - 7 goals in League 1 (Bristol Rovers)

    10/11 - 0 goals

Last season didn't work out for him, but he's consistently scored goals at a good level. Actually amazing how many he has managed to score, because he hasn't had the chance to settle anywhere.

We're kidding ourselves on if we think the likes of Hasselbaink, Barrowman or McAllister are better options than Duffy. Guy's got a good pedigree and would be a good signing for most SPL clubs. He only made 4 starts for Hibs FFS; hardly fair to look at that and ignore the rest of his career.

What about a comparison to Steven Thompson? Thompson's 5 years older and has scored 89 career goals; Duffy has 73.

So how many goals is that in 177 games?

Also Thompson has played constantly at a better level Prem and Championship

  4. Is he better than Barrowman? If it all turns to a shitefest next season, it may all come down to us signng marginally better players.

When he's no on the injury table he can't be worse than barrowman

  5.

177 appearances for 6 different clubs since he left Falkirk 5 years ago. He's hardly had any injuries.

Duffy played 8 games in 2010 due to injury i assume. And only 7 games since january with Hibs because of injury. And 18 games between 06/07. His goalscoring record is crap anyway.

  6. Im led to believe that there is a good chance that Higdon is staying with us and also that another striker will be joining us who is still very young and has SPL experience although not a great goalscoring record. Although I must say whenever I have seen him I have been pretty impressed although I'm keeping the name under my hat meantime. This is all on top of Thompson signing! All looking good for next season :D

Just give us the name

  7. Would love our bar to be filled for every home game.....wouldn't it be great if we could get the away games shown live in the bar, especially midweek games. That would bring in a few punters.

I agree, something like the Hibs social club would be ideal. That must hold about 500 at least.

  8. Word is we made an offer for McAllister but he isn't interested

Wants to finish his final year as an apprentice plumber, someone said he wants £1500 a week as that what his wage will be combined with part time football and plumbing.

  9. What's Graham Carey up to these days, seems to have disappeared off the radar?

Although I think we are reasonably well covered at full back if Travner stays.

IMO Carey was A LOT better at left midfield for us and would be excellent if we signed him as a left-mid with Travner at left back.
