A Main Stand padded seat at Paisley is £14.00, because you’re worth it!

(I believe cheaper padded cells are available in the wank tank.)

Disappointed. The guy next to me said you can now get a concession ticket. Unfortunately I cant as I am 60 not 65 so only home games for me. Padded seat. When I went to purchase the first season ticket for the new stadium there were a couple of criteria. Having listened to adults throwing foul language at the top of their voice in the Northbank I decided the westbank was not for me. Going by the apologies by the commenter doing the games  for st Mirren tv over language I did the right thing to move stands. So a seat in the new main stand was for me. Next was where to sit. Personally the half way line has always been my preferred viewing position. As far back as can be as I like looking down on the game. This meant a padded seat. Would I have purchased the seat if not padded of course it's a seat for 90min. Why would you bring up a padded seat ?

  2. Made up my mind to stop going to away games due to ticket prices this season. On Saturday I was telling the guy next to me that I now have my free bus pass and my senior ferry pass for £1.50 return. Now i found out a concession football ticket is available. £16 for Motherwell is the icing on the cake so I will be there on Saturday. Will also travel to the Edinburgh games on public transport now. Happy day's 🤩

  3. Certainly not a striker who can play the one man role up front but who is ? It's a thankless task. Defence is good but something will need to change to get more bodies forward if you are playing one striker. Seen quite a few times we had lose balls in the Hearts penalty box with no Saints players ready to pounce.

  4. Goodwin knows where the problem lies which is good. Defence is sound. Midfielders generally are good. We dont have a goal machine if we did he would not be at us long.  More coaching on attacking midfield and strikers.  I'm not a fan of a loan striker it rarely yields goals. Goodwin will get the balance right it might take a bit longer than we hoped.

  5. Got quite a lot to say about this game tomorrow that being Sunday. What I will say just now  is I fully expect us to be in a usual relegation battle. Hearts did not need a goalie we still would not have scored.  Jim you said I will have the fans out the seats. Hope so it will take time. Right now the team is not right especially up front. Also you need to try Stephen McGinn at least one game. Flynn has been very good. But BUT today it was not  move forward with speed.  It did not happen it was pass back or sideways giving Hearts time to get every player back. Junior very poor. Kyle captain poor, Mcalister poor, A point may be looked on as good. Hearts are weak just now to injuries.  We were utter bullshit.  Come on Jim time to mix up the team.

  6. So today I starved myself to enjoy a steak pie. Here is my findings.  Better case than a scotch pie 3/5. Pie full of proper beef slightly salty would be better slightly more moist 3/5.  Over all 7/10 which is not bad. I would urge anyone to try a spicy chicken burger from the buddie good van it really is a mouth watering delight. 9/10. Steak pie is not bad. Call me in I would tune it up to a cracker to make the steak pie a topper, honestly.

Long haul.. Business and First Class go lie flat. Mattress, Pillow and Blankets Supplies. Pyjamas too in many first class flights.

Yea I was shocked at that Mr Me here are pyjamas much more comfortable for travelling. I said no it's ok feeling a bit embarrassed. She talked me into it and she was right. Later she made me a full size bed. As I had a gold BA card was upgraded quite a few times. First is another world it's the way to travel but the cost is outwith my budget. Sometimes I had to fly at short notice so also did Virgin, km, Air France first.  BA was by far the most professional.  Called me by my name as soon as I walked on the plain. Now I travel chicken class as that's what I can afford.

The last time 1 flew with them was around 10 years ago coming back from Faro,

Wee skinny guy in front of me decided to decline his seat right back.

Ask him to put it back up but he refused.

Ask steward what the score was, and her answer was he is allowed and then she walked away with no attempt to ask the guy.

Spent the next 2 hrs sticking my knee into the back of the seat for some childish revenge.

Since then I fly only with Jet 2 since their seat doesn't decline.

Thomas Cook lost me as a customer that day for me never to return.

Stopped using package tours years ago me being tall was a nightmare very uncomfortable. Misses wanted to go to Mahon a few years ago so tried Jet 2. What a difference plenty room to get comfortable.  Mostly use Expedia for holidays travelling schedule flights.

The lad doesn't read IOBS. He is also heavily weighed down by self certainty which inhibits his ability to learn.

Funny I used to get wound up with his view point on this subject. Now I dont I'm guessing he was brought up in a privileged life style sadly cant see beyond his brick wall.

Actually Oaksoft understands all too well the problem of people taking on too much personal debt through their own fault.

And Ricky's response agreed with me.

Fascinating that both you and he think he posted something different.

I've already posted about zero hour contracts elsewhere.

Perhaps the pair of you should read MY posts before saying daft things.

The ones I know using the food bank over here who have no loans.  They can pay Bill's, rent now they are truly skint. A lot of them are embarrassed using a food bank. I get people abusing the system now as it means more money. Unfortunately the vast majority are honest.

Perhaps you should reread what I wrote. Simply put.. Over time legislation introduced the availability of credit. Somewhere around the 1960's or slightly earlier. This led to a boom in consumer spending, a rise in personal debt levels and the start of a long term decline in savings ratio. This took us into an era of the repossession of goods by sherrifs officers where debt was unpaid. Around the same time credit availability for house purchase became more available, supported by tax relief on interest paid and higher loan to value mortgages. Further changes took place in late 60's, early 70's where a married woman's income was taken into account for the first time giving a general rule of 2 to 2.5 times the male income plus 1 times the wife (not partner as they would have been unprotected under the then Married Women's Property Act). At this point the available credit was restricted by a fairly straightforward multiple of the savings vase in a building society in particular and in banks. Political decisions were made to enable funding through different mechanisms which greatly increased the supply of money. Further changes in income multiples meant that up to 5 times income was being used to apporove mortgages. Credit cards were issued, it seemed, willy nilly as lenders fought each other for a share of the market. All of this appeared to be OK where wages were rising quickly, house prices were rising quickly and jobs were seen as secure. Mrs T arrived, determined to cut inflation to zero. Unemployment rose, house prices fell, but personal debt through credit cards didn't. Deindustrialisation had begun. A higher than recorded unelpoyment rate was avoided by bringing in a health related benefit that was tailored to fit the needs of those made redundant. Benefits dependency began to grow. The above cycle was repeated in the period around the banking crisis. One difference now was that debt levels were already higher than before meaning family financial commitments were running at historically High levels in relation to income. Savings per person fell further. End result of all of this is that many, not an invisibly small, number of people don't have a month's savings to see them through difficulties. Working arrangements no longer follow the earlier historical pattern and jobs are less secure. We have arrived where we are now.

Very well explained . Oaksoft does not get how severe the situation is for some families.  It would do him the world of good to go along and help in a food bank for a day I'm sure he would grasp the situation.  I'm flabbergasted how politicians got away with austerity cuts to those who actually need it the most. Working conditions rules changed by politicians.  I know a woman from Rothesay who worked at Amazon Greenock. She would get the ferry then bus arrived at Amazon to be told she is not needed today. The same nonsense goes on at the vagan sheese factory in Rothesay. Its common for some to get a call later in the afternoon to go work for two hours. Seriously is this 2020 or 1930.

Well. This pie could be an award winner. Watch out Killie Pie and Pars Steak Bridie. You have a rival.

I will try next week Ricky but it's hard not  go for that spicy chicken burger. Was wearing black Jean's and a black tea shirt. Sitting in the main stand getting cooked by the sun at half time I had a gallon of cold diet coke.

Seemed much better quality. More meat, thicker, sweeter gravy. Didn't break up and become difficult to eat.

I'm a fan of the buddie good food kiosk. She is supplied by one of Paisley's best butchers. I get a spicy chicken burgers. Spicy mayo, crispy lettuce, proper chicken , tomato, onion and cheese in a proper Scottish roll. Its delicious.
