The pizza thing is about team building - the one thing we need right now.
The team is struggling and Danny is trying to get everyone to pull together.
It's a common and a very good man management technique.
Let's face it the team are getting f**k all support from the fan base right now.
This isn't the time for worrying about their diet. A couple of slices of pizza won't kill them.
So big Tel says ....."2-2 at darkheid not so bad"...."fish supper on the way up the road....some cool tunes and a cigar".......Fcukin stars that lot!....jealous as fcuk!

That would be the board of directors as a group.
The chairman of any board of directors is there to advise, chair meetings, act as liaison between board and management blah blah blah and he is accountable to the board.
He's not the decision maker.
Show us the money?.......Our squad has reduced in wages at an alarming rate this season.......Danny Lennon never kept Craig Samson according to Div......so where is the money going?

I surrender...last post about his driving ban......The reason I know about it is a coach at our club told me it was part of the reason he left but I'll leave it there and won't mention it again.

Hardly a rant was it? Pretty thoughtful analysis imo.
Numbers yes, quality not so sure. We stayed up before playing John Potter for a whole season FFS.
Not a rant in the usual way but strange why he would fire in to Danny in this way.....Not normal from Him?.....would you agree?.....My point is the board give money and Danny spends it?...is that right?.......Now he says Samson was let go due to money as he was a pauper in player terms but can't say how much he was on.......My point is Danny should be sacked now if he had the resources to keep Samson but didn't!.....I don't believe he did and that's down to the board and Samson losing his license.
CS losing his licence doesn't really cut it as he has a longer commute to training now than he did when he played with us...think this one was down to the principle of been offered a shite wage....
He stays in Ayr!

Looking at some posts together Danny looks like a condemned man before the ICT game....He talks of reduced budgets ....The squad is the poorest in numbers and quality for many years. Div comes on here with a very uncharacteristic rant at Lennon. Anyone else think he is in with the BOD in deflecting the blame?........No comment is noted from CS losing his license and being unable to commute to Paisley.

Interesting to see you state that the board were worried about the relationship between the youth set up and the first team.
Also worth remembering that if Gus MacPherson was still St Mirren manager then Samson and McGregor would be part time in the 2nd division, John McGinn, Kenny McLean, Thomas Reilly, Mo Yaqub & Anton Brady wouldn't be near our first team, Marc McAusland would be at Queen of the South and Graham Carey might just be some fat guy that used to play for Celtic youth.
Good points Kemp....I was in the Gus camp but binning all the youth every season can't be a smart play. A balance has to be reached but I'm pretty sure right now we have it wrong. "Nobody said it was easy...and nobody said It could be so hard"

Wow!......Div post is unlike him. My big concern pre season was Samson as I am a massive fan.....What was he offered?...and did the fact he is banned from driving have any influence in his move?....any chance of an answer Div?

I think It's clear to everyone that our squad is the BIG problem....we need 3 players pronto.......no manager can keep us up with the choice available. Players WILL come in and then we can judge.....Steven Thompson WILL be our next manager...there is no doubt about that!

The problem is that a lot of the possession that St. Mirren have is in our own half, fannying about.
The possession the opposition usually have is winning the ball off us in our half!
Lennon is a clown. Who has possession of the ball is irrelevant. What matters is where the ball is! And if the ball spends most of the time in our half then the chances are we will get beaten!

Gus wasn't like Butcher or Adams. He was purely negative and wanted men behind the ball.
Butcher & Adams use attack as the means of defence. They get the ball quickly, get players forward and try to pressure the opposition into mistakes in their own half. Their defensive tactic is keeping the ball out of their own half. Gus' tactic was getting loads of players behind the ball.
That is why ICT & Ross County are top 6 sides while we were bottom 6 under Gus.
Ok....Isabella Duke for manager it is....knows the lot....why not?

We are reaping what we've sown. We've not replaced the players that have left. The start we've made to the season is of absolutely no surprise to me.
You are correct Kendo but more will come....still a battle at the bottom for us though....hope the cups are kind......Hard for me to see Inverness ,Ross County and St Johnstone out do us...But hey imagine you are an Aberdeen fan with a potential of 20,000 home gate ....get gubbed from the Celic and watch league leaders ICT get a 2-2 draw in Glasgow!.....Terry Butcher is fcukin class!

I'm not looking to get into a fight - I'm tired of the whole 10000hours thing. Scunnered probably a better word. Financial gain is about the only thing you didn't say 'guys like Atkinson' were all about. Honours, awards... a few other things besides. Pretty clear you were saying he was in it for personal gain and glory, so I believe 'semantics' is the word needed.
It's over, but I do not believe he was motivated by, or was actively seeking, the list of things you did say in your quote. Why do you still feel the need to stick a knife in? Not only stick it in, but give it a twist for good measure.

Seems locked on for me ...to early for me though......Danny has quotes saying he is a future manager.......Makes sense in him coming to us ,,,future career etc.
